We stay here frequently to visit our Mother who is just up the street at Mt St Mary’s. The location is fabulous and the beds are really comfortable. The staff treats us very well and we see familiar faces every time we stay.
I would like to know about restaurant closures before I book. The food and coffee are really not fabulous…it’s ok but for the price it could be much better. Coffee is a big thing, I shouldn’t have to go to the Starbucks in the hotel across the street for decent coffee in the morning. I have had the same horrible view every stay, my brothers experience the same thing? How does this happen? It would be nice to see the city or the ocean instead of a parking lot. (Room 709 🤮) I have been told just recently about a loyalty program but never offered by hotel staff. If there is no perk to booking directly and no loyalty when all 3 of us stay in separate rooms quarterly, then I will keep booking through 3rd party sites to get points I can use at any hotel around the world.

The room was great - very comfortable. Lots of space for us to relax and rest. Beds were firm and there were plenty of pillows. The sofa and chairs were also very comfortable. We enjoyed the pool and the lobby had plenty of seating when we were waiting for other members in our party to get ready to go out. Staff were very helpful when we lost a key card. Parking was easy and convenient.
So there were some other hotel guests who were perhaps inebriated and noisy. Also there was some street noise that was quite disruptive. It was loud enough that I wondered if the windows had been left open. Weekend in the city! Nothing that earplugs didn't fix.

Our room was very big and had lots of room enough for the 3 of us to not worry about bumping into one another. Our room had a patio and a beautiful view. The staff was very nice and friendly. Easy to talk to. Location worked well and they even allow you to keep you vehicle on their property after you check out until 4pm so if you still want to explore after you check out your car and stuff can be safe still.
They had 2 beds and a futon, but they only had spare pillows in the room, with no spare blankets. It's just odd to me to have pillows but no blankets. Besides that, I don't have any negative to say.

I loved the entrance and the front lobby sitting areas; the navy blue sitting chairs are gorgeous. The front desk staff was amazing and welcoming, and super helpful. I believe her name was Pamela; amazing to interact with for each one of our group(4) at different times during our short stay. Our room was clean and relatively quiet considering the location.
We were determined to sit in the hot tub after a quick dinner and before the pool/hot tub closed at 1030. The pool was a decent temp and looked clean in and around the pool. The hot tub on the other hand had a pretty thick top layer of ‘scum’ bubbles. It was end of the night and I have no idea how busy it had been or if it was problematic or just aesthetics. Regardless of that, as we were finishing up, staff was there to close it up and I’m sure the mornings start with it sparkling.

Perfectly located hotel. Incredibly nice staff. The suite upgrade was nice, very well appointed, and having the kitchenette enabled me to prepare my own breakfasts and a few other meals. The view was fantastic. The pool and hot tub were lovely (under an ample skylight), the gym well equipped. It was also great to be in a locally owned hotel.
The only suggestion I would make is to have a bench and several hooks in the women’s bathroom by the pool: it was a bit challenging to get changed and dry after swimming.

The hotel was beautiful, the rooms were beautiful as well. Sadly, I didn't get a good view from our room, but that's ok. It was easy to navigate throughout the hotel, and it was easy to find it as well. The restaurant was great. We had an amazing server who was able to help out with picking a drink and even help out with our meals as we are a tad picky with our food. The chef was great as we wanted to try the steak, but we were unsure of the sauce they used. He put it on the side for us to try, and it was so good. Next time, we will get it on for sure!
The beds were a little too firm for our liking. So, we didn't get the best sleep, but the beds were clean and well presented. The parking lots were a little tricky. I had to back out most of the way when we got stuck since someone parked in a non parking spot, but I was able to get out and find a spot no problem.

Suite is beautiful, spacious, clean - with a comfy bed and lovely living room / dining room / kitchenette! Views were great too. Welcoming and incredibly helpful staff from Sally at check-in, to David helping with luggage and shuttles, to great staff at the restaurant, room cleaning and pool. Recommend the delicious breakfast with a jaw-dropping view in Vista 18, a swim and hot tub in the skylight pool area, and the helpful shuttle and valet service. Walking distance to all the Victoria sites, a short shuttle to other attractions, and a quiet peaceful sleep at night. Highly recommend for a restorative break!
Almost nothing! just missed some bowls in the kitchenette - grateful for the tea and coffee ready for our use!

Location, so close to inner harbour, BC ferry bus station and bus stop to Butchard gardens. The room was spacious and the separate bedroom makes it feel like an apartment.
The concierge advice about the type of taxi for 4 pax to airport was inconsistent. We were asked to call in the morning of our departure to request for a taxi that is big enough to cater for 4 pax and 3 large suitcases. However the person that morning said only normal taxis are available and didn’t bother checking for us. We ended up with one suitcase in the backseat and one of us in the back seat had to sit with her legs pulled up . Disappointing service.

Vista 18 A la Carte breakfast. Early check-in. In downtown so walking to landmarks and interests. All I need is to park the car in the hotel and walk to places. No need to search for street parking with a parking time limit, risking tickets, decreasing mental load. The facility is maintained well. The swimming pool and jacuzzi appear to be clean. Appreciating that there was a Chromecast to connect to my phone. I can buy takeouts and consume them back in the room. Toaster and microwave available for quick breakfast and food reheat. Sink and dish soap provided as well. The stay was self-sufficient.
Early cut off of television service. Was trying to use Chromecast to stream a child's show while wrapping up packing. I had to reconnect multiple times and the service kept cutting shortly after reconnection. I wasn't able to focus on packing up. The springs of the cot are probably worn. I weigh about 130lbs and I kind of sank in the cot.

We were able to check-in early and our room was as we expected and had all the facilities we required. We had breakfast at Vista 18, with a lovely view of the city. Breakfast was good. We also had a drink in the lounge bar, which is cosy and has a variety of drinks displayed around the room. We used the laundry room which is available at a small charge - a great idea for us travelling around the country for a length of time. Parking was available at an extra charge.
The lifts were a little slow but nothing we could not put up with.
