I had a second floor room (205) , sufficiently high to see over the public garden wall and give a fine view of the castle. The location has minimal traffic noise ( on stone setts) ,and we did not hear any revellers. The room furnishings are almost new, in rich tones and massive varnished hardwood, and were highly functional ,with plenty of storage, excellent aircon, good opaque curtains, and new beds. There is a fridge, and Nespresso machine( extra charge!). The bathroom was one of the best I have encountered in almost all respects, especially the extra deep bathtub. Breakfast has good quality ingredients ,with Eillies tea, and acceptable fruit juice .The hot food consists solely of frankfurters and eggs.but this is as expected for a small hotel.Fresh fruit was abundant, and there was plenty of space in the breakfast room. All aspects of the reception, table and chambermaid service ,of which I made use, were excellent. I found the hotel extremely comfortable in very hot weather..

There was a shortage of electrical outlets- a couple of double extension leads would rectify this. The room is not sufficiently lit, except for two small regions near the bedside lamps. Also in the electrical department- there is no kettle.

Excellent location. We visited with two kids and we were able to explore large parts of the city on foot easily - including the islands and the playgrounds on the islands. Lots of great food options nearby. The breakfast buffet is good, with plenty of variety.

The mattresses and pillows were not very comfortable. The bath was not great - the shower is in the bathtub, but the bathtub has only a half glass around it, and the shower head is perpendicular to the glass. This means that unless you are very, very careful you will end up spraying water all over the bathroom every time you bathe. This presents a challenge, especially with children.

Beautiful little hotel in a very quiet place located close to the Charles Bridge. Charming but modern. The room was well equipped and the beds comfortable. The breakfast included with our stay was stellar: a huge variety of tasty food and beverages, hot and cold. Our room included a large bath. The room had an affordable minibar too. The front desk staff were terrifically helpful. The hotel is near a major tram stop and underground rail stop.

Very minor quibbles. For a modern hotel, they had nearly no outlets. I know this is very expensive to retrofit. But I travel with a CPAP and everyone has electronics to recharge. The beds were a bit squeezed in so a tough navigation to squeeze through to one corner of the room. Only one chair.

Hotel is in a great location, not far from the waterfront and close to everything by foot. charles bridge is just around the corner. the area looks busy during the day but is surprisingly quiet at night. staff were friendly and helpful. breakfast was good. the hotel has nice oil paintings and other unique furnishings. the bedroom was well presented and oozed character. hotel had everything we needed for a short visit to prague.

everything was great except I think the mattress was memory foam which didn't really suit me but if you like sleeping on a cloud you'll be just fine!

Located just perfectly few steps from famous bridge, and everywhere is 10-20min walk. Hotel manage lift from airport which is very helpful. One of my favourite hotel.

just one small detail - coffee machine in room stunning with espresso..but only espresso! So no available hot drink most of day and night.

Fabulous location and quite quirky with interesting decor. Small hotel but with everything you need. Good continental breakfast included.

We had a deluxe room which was in the attic. The air conditioning struggled to keep the room cool in the 30+ C days especially when the halogen lighting was on. Bathroom became especially hot. Not tea maki g facilities in room only a coffee pod machine (pods additional cost).

Much like the city of Prague itself, the U Pava is somewhat like a museum. If I'm not mistaken the building dates back to the 17th century. It's a bit of a labyrinth inside with stair cases going this way and that (never to your room, of course until you learn the way), with myriad of nooks and crannies. This goes for the breakfast area too. So, you can often find a little corner to hide in and take your coffee and strudel in private. Yes, at breakfast they serve strudel and other fine fare. The only thing missing is a bottle of Proseco. I like a touch of the bubbly in the morning when on holiday. And the coffee could be better. :( The location of the U Pava is simply marvellous. You are right there, smack down in the middle of the tourist trap, within 2-3mn walk of the Charles Bridge. Plenty of things to see, plenty of eateries all 'round. From your room, you will likely hear the cry of the peacocks from the nearby Voyanovy Sad (sic), hence the name of the hotel - "near the Peackock, if I'm not mistaken." Now being in the centre of this part of town makes parking a real trick. I booked ahead but even then a place was not initially available. Lucky for me, I found a blue / resident area and arranged with the hotel to leave the car there under their permit. Otherwise I would have been very annoyed.

Coffee in the morning was mediocre. Prosecco at breakfast always get more point in my book.

On arrival, staff were very friendly and welcoming. The location of the hotel was virtually perfect, just off the end of Charles Bridge which was very convenient for exploring central Prague. My wife and I are already talking about a return trip and we would certainly use the Hotel U Pava again.

Not much!! Some small cosmetic areas need attention but it appeared all was in hand by the maintenance team

The ambience of U Pava — especially the painted ceilings — perfectly conjures up old Prague. It’s right by Charles Bridge but is not swamped with tourists, and nearby there’s an excellent river-view restaurant that you reach via a narrow descending staircase on the left-hand side of the facing green. The hotel breakfast is sumptuous and imaginative.

The staff were a little lackadaisical. And there is no lift to the rooms in the new building, which means you may have to lug your baggage up two steep flights of winding stairs.
