The location is central. A short walk to Museumsinsel and points of interest. It is about a two minute walk to the S-Bahn that the East/West lines--one station to Friedrichstrasse station and one in the other direction to Alexanderplatz. The staff is super friendly, the room is quite large and has a lovely seating area. There were 5 trams parked directly below my window, but at night, I closed the window and the curtains and I never heard the outside world. On the last night of my 5 night stay, I discovered the rooftop bar, which was almost empty, and a great place to have a drink and look out over the city.

The shower worked well, but the pitch on the shower floor is off and because of this all the water pools in the far corner of the shower, and then leaks onto the bathroom floor. It never dried up. The hotel obliged provided me with additional towels so I could sop up the water, but that's hardly an adequate solution. It really needs to be repaired. Others have complained about it over time and it should be addressed.

The hotel was well located, just a short walk away from a main area, with good tram access. The room was great, the bed was comfortable and the decor was lovely. The bar was lovely with a roaring fire, and the drinks were well mixed and reasonably cheap. My colleagues had the breakfast and although quite expensive at euro23.50, they really enjoyed it. The price was great too.

The bathroom is very very tiny, with the loo being so close to the basin and the shower screen that moving around is quite difficult. The shower screen seems to stop a bit short and after two showers, I had water in the whole of the bathroom and a small amount actually made it under the door into the room.

My step grandchildren were visiting from the United States and we met at the hotel for breakfast. We were the last ones to dine, taking our time to catch up on our travels and we lingered past the breakfast finish time. The staff worked around us, we never felt we were an inconvenience and I was thrilled when the chef came out to say hello and share that the lox was from Norway. THE LOX, BY THE WAY, WAS FABULOUS!!! Whenever I passed the staff in the halls or elevators, they were welcoming and friendly. I REALLY, REALLY liked the bath gels...ohlala!

Not so much that I didn't like...I did not know to put my key card in the switch by the door in order to turn the lights on. My son was with me when I checked in and knew this process. I think this is a clever idea, but, as a new person I would have walked back to the desk.

Superb location, close to lots of restaurants, bars, shopping, transport and only 10mins walk to Museum Island. Still a quiet hotel - we heard no noise even though our room overlooked the tram stop. We were given an upgrade to a suite in the new wing when we arrived which was very much appreciated. The suites (we had two rooms next to each other) were a great size and had lovely decor. I think some of the other rooms in the original building could be a little compact so I would definitely book the suite again. Rooftop bar was great as was the lounge to relax in with a nice fire. Staff were very professional and welcoming. They also have a small gym and spa downstairs that is just being put in - I used the gym, again nicely decorated and with all the machines you need for a cardio workout.

Lack of laundry service but that is very minor.

The breakfast, although not included, was fabulous. Lots of choices and high quality. And the breakfast staff were very welcoming and efficient. The room was small but well set up and the bed was very comfy. The location was great. I could walk to most places I was interested in seeing, and it was super easy to get a cab or take the train.

The reason I didn't give this hotel a higher rating is that the elevator broke on the morning of my last day there and there was no notice on the elevator and I was on the 5th floor. When I walked down the 5 floors and told the receptionist, she did not apologize for the inconvenience, but just said "yes we know and the repair service has been called". When I had to carry my suitcase down five flights of stairs to check out, there was no offer made to help me with my baggage either. Also, while I understand why they did it, I found it a little annoying that you had to sign up for breakfast the day before and say when you were planning to dine. This seems to make a vacation morning a smidge less relaxing.

I've stayed here often. It is stylish, very clean, and well-kept. The breakfast is really excellent. The location is very good for transport networks: easy access to S-Bahn and trams, connecting to airport, main stations, and (in my case on this trip) the conference centre in Wannsee I was attending. The staff are very nice and could not be more helpful. The rooms are small but thoughtfully laid out, but this time I had an upgrade to a larger room which was very comfortable (327).

The WiFi was not super reliable at busy times.

Beautiful hotel, I would say quite luxurious and lovely decor. We stayed over Christmas so the perfect setting with open fire in the bar area. Location could not be better near to train station , Christmas market, plenty of bars and restaurants and the shops! If you like shopping it’s treat. But it’s a walkable city but the Monbijou is absolutely perfect location.

For a high end hotel there’s no coffee and tea facilities in rooms. Albeit there’s cafes nearby and people were bringing in.

I really liked the hotel. Clean, comfortable, in a great location. Extremely polite staff, we checked in ahead of schedule, for which we thank you very much. City center location, a stone's throw from Museum Island. Also nearby are streets with shops, Hackesche courtyards. Nearby is the metro and city train. It is convenient to get to other parts of the city and the railway station (to Ostbahnhof - three stops on the city train). Breakfast at the hotel is a little expensive, but this did not affect the overall impression of the hotel. I will stay here again.

nice staff, lovely bar area, awesome breakfast buffet and good cleanliness ! location is perfect for a short Berlin trip, since you can reach everything super fast !

the beds were two separate mattresses which slipped to the side when laying together in the middle.

Great location, room was well equipped, staff were very nice and breakfast included a big buffet of salads and foods almost like for lunch.

The double bed was two single beds pushed together which is normally fine as there's something over the top (like a mattress topper) to fill the gap - but there was still a gap between the two single beds so it wasn't comfortable to lie across, I slept on one single bed instead. Not a deal breaker but FYI. Also wish there was a coffee machine in the room (or at least a Kettle and instant facilities). Again, not a deal breaker and I know it keeps the price down.
