Location right next to the Berlin HbF, so honestly, reaching anywhere in Berlin was under 20-25 mins. The hotel is big, clean and rooms are aesthetically pleasing and super spacious. The breakfast buffet was good.

The hospitality of the hotel staff was very subpar. For example, the person making omelettes at the breakfast bar clearly did not like his job, was super fussy and aggressive, that too over making omelettes!! Most of the staff seemed least bothered to help you or aid you in anyway which is weird given that you expect good service from a "5 star" hotel. Only people who were actually nice on the whole staffing team would be the one in the conciergerie. Rest of the team, not even close to 5 star service level.

This hotel is located right next to the main train station in Berlin making access to everywhere so easy. But do not think that because it next to the train station, it is somehow second-rate. The room was clean, modern and well-appointed, with a nice view and a free-standing bathtub. The lobby is quite impressive. Overall a nice hotel.

I booked the modern room with the view and free-standing bathtub (according to the photos on Booking.com). When we were given our room it was not the room according to the photos, but an older unrenovated room. I had to complain and then we were given the correct room. This should not happen.

All I can say about my feedback is: You find what you are looking for and don't waste your time to find other hotels in Berlin because you find exactly what you are looking for. Location is the best of the best as I was a few seconds from the tube station with any 100 shops or 100 of foods you like. (but still a nice and quiet area). Outside of the hotel are lovely coffee shops round the corner. I had a fantastic view of the Berlin parliament Bundestag which is 10 min walk from the hotel. The Hotel from the outside looks standart and nothing special but as soon as I walk inside I become surprised. Hotel was nice and 100% clean smells of new furniture, nice and modern with its own modern style. Staff of the hotels include cleaners, are lovely and very friendly and happy to help with anything. I travel all around the world but I never was that happy with my hotel choice. Of course when I say A I will need to say a B. Breakfast was first class with lot of choice and fresh quality food. Only one thing was bad experience in this hotel was the omelet maker. He was so rude because when I asked for more ingredients in my omelets he complained to me he needed to cut this himself so he couldn't give it to me. So I said OK. Then he opened the conflict and told me not to be angry. But funy enough I was all the time quiet. He makes my breakfast not comfortable any more and me and my wife from this day never come for an omelet and avoid this man far, far away. Other than that everything was absolutely first class and that's why i decided to keep the maximum rating from my side as possible for this hotel.

The lady at the front desk on Saturday caused some confusion. She had me go and verify my card but when I got there I was told there was no need to do that. Why did she make me do that? She doubted my ability to pay maybe, I don't know. I'm sure she had her reasons.

Fantastic location, the staff were all really friendly & super helpful, the bed was SO comfy, & the bathroom was great.

the room was REALLY warm, & it seems the only control over the temperature was via the setting for the infloor heating in the bathroom, I had to turn that off, & open the window to let some cooler air in. I've noticed that most northern EU buildings are heated so that in December, it's like JULY inside - but everyone is dressed for Winter! So this isn't so much a complaint about the hotel, but if they could do something about the heat in the bedrooms, that would be great.

The location is ideal, in a safe and quiet part of the city. The staff were exceptional, especially the staff in the bar who looked after us incredibly well and made our New Years Eve celebrations very memorable, I can't praise them enough. Hotel is situated right next to Berlin main train station so you have access to above ground and underground metro trains literally on your doorstep. Within a 10 minute walk is the Bundestag and Brandenburg Gate, really handy if you want a quick walk over there at night when the crowds are all gone and you can get great photos.

I upgraded to a suite after several days traveling throughout Europe just to relax in a larger space for the night after seeing a few sights. Rooms were clean, spacious, and the shower and bathtub were excellent and quite large. Location is perfect if you have an early morning train like I did. Property has a Michelin recognized bar/restaurant onsite and check-in/out was quick. Has a free spa/sauna on the seventh floor but didn’t have time to use it. Taxis and Ubers were easy to call (3 minutes or less) compared to other parts of the city (20+ minutes) due to Christmas market street closings and parades.

Didn’t bother myself but decor is relatively minimalist or absent throughout the hotel.

the staff were lovely, our room was ready early which was fabulous after traveling to be able to freshen up before heading out sightseeing. Breakfast was amazing the best we have had throughout our European trip, the omelette ❤️ The bed and pillows we super comfy and the room had a beautiful big bathroom..The hotel is central to everything making it easy to walk to all the sights and it's just minutes walk from the train station so the location is perfect. we would definitely recommend staying at Steingenberger when you visit Berlin

A really great hotel if you are depended on being close to the Berlin Hauptbahnhof, which is where most of connections to/fro airport are. 30 min on the train from airport and 3 min walking from Hauptbahnhof. Very central also for transportation on to other sites in the city. Hamburger Bahnhof museum is 10 minutes walk. Surprisingly quiet rooms, wonderful bed and a relaxed executive atmosphere. Great spa and all of the staff incredibly nice.

No negatives, however if you are looking for a "boutique style bohemian alternative Berlin-vibe" hotel its not. I normally prefer to stay other parts of this city, but I would def stay here again.

The location is terrific as it is a skip away from the main train station and right on the Spree. The rooms are spacious with lots of vertical height; love the floor to ceiling windows. The breakfast was excellent and plentiful; good quality. The fitness room was nice too; great views and enough equipment.

The hotel contacted us via email to offer an upgrade, which we opted for only to be denied when we arrived. The a/c was extremely weak (and we don't like a cold room but it was lukewarm and a trickle) and the minifridge was broken. However, the repair person was able to provide a new fridge and somewhat improve the air.
