It is a fantastic location - next to the bus terminal, short walk to the city centre and there is a bus stop for tours directly outside which is extremely convenient! The staff were really friendly and helpful. There was a fantastic choice of food at breakfast (fruit, cereal, bread, baked goods, cooked food etc).

In our room there were two single beds and only one bed had a charging point next to it. The spa facilities were lovely, but one of the massage therapists did sneeze during the massage and then didn’t wash his hands (however the massage itself was fantastic).

At the heart of Reykjavik, having its own parking facilitities, this hotel is spot on for those who want to enjoy Iceland's capital and everyting it has to offer. In close proximity of shops, restaurants, bars, in close proximity of the must-see touristic spots, super-friendly and very helpful staff, we had a great time!

We were at the top floor, with windows practically 'all around', meaning that if the sun would shine, and it does so 21 hours per day in June, it would become hot in the room very quickly. There was no airco (...in Iceland, which is totally understandable, of course!).

Good breakfast, clean and very friendly atmosphere

Communication with the property wasn't the easiest. Reply by message can take 24 hrs. When contacting by phone the call can be answered by another hotel in the group which in our case ended up confusing dinner and spa requests. The 2 course dinner upgrade is not worth the money as the menu is a compilation of the cheapest dishes available. I would've preferred to pay more to eat something I'd enjoy. Unfortunately the 2 course dinner menu cannot be found anywhere prior to book this option. More information in the room would be welcome, there were no leaflets on the services available in the hotel.

The staff and management of this hotel. Exceptional service!! This hotel has one of the best restaurants in the city for dinner. It doesn't look like a 5 star restaurant but the food and service is exceptional. A very good breakfast buffet. A solid European facility in a very good location-right across the street from main bus terminal and the top of the main shopping street. Thanks to everyone from the front desk, housekeeping, to the bartenders, kitchen staff, and to the hotel manager for making our stay enjoyable.

There really isn't curbside appeal based on my American perspective. And we were charged for early check-in after a long flight from Los Angeles. But that being said, the staff and service makes all the difference at this facility. Thank you

The location is very close to the centre. The spa & gym area were very nice too. Staff on the front desk were very helpful booking things etc The restaurant is very good.

Breakfast runs until 10 a.m., but by the time I got there, after 9 am. every morning, most of the pastries & all the granola bars had gone. They don't seem to keep some back for later guests & if you don't want a cooked breakfast, there's not much more to eat. There just aren't sufficient quantities given the hotel was completely booked up, disappointing considering the price being paid.

Nice breakfast with lots of choices. Location good for walking in the City. Bus,taxi readily available. Lots of restaurants in the immediate area. Room was smallish but good. Big problem was heat- room too hot for our taste. No AC in Iceland. No fans either. If this is a problem, ask for a room that does not get the sun all day. Tiny windows do not let in much air if the room is hot and the there is no wind outside. And if language is a problem, almost everyone speaks very good English. Very helpful and friendly people.

Just the hot room. Stuffy but we managed.

This is first hotel ever when we have choosed again for the second time the same hotel in same city where we are traveling. And the reason is the spa in the hotel. Spa is wonderful with sauna and one indoor hotpool and one outdoor hotpool. If you are traveling there you should choose room with complimentary spa access. Everyday after the day or in morning we took time relax there. Hotels locations is wonderful in end of the main shopping road. Breakfast was also very good and the hotel is very clean and room was nice scandinavic style.

Only problem with the hotel was that our room was cold as you were sleeping outside (I mean that temperature was about 18c, and you not able change the temperature in the room).

Location was good near the Main Street with lots of restaurants nearby. Also near the main bus stop for tours. 10 minute walk to the old harbour area at the end of town so very close to all. Room was spacious and a very good 4 star hotel. Mini bar in room, beds were very comfy and had a good indoor and outdoor spa and gym set up with massages in the spa area. Staff were super helpful. It was a quick two night stay as in transit but for a short stay, value for money was excellent.

Blow dryer, designed by a man obviously. Please get decent seperate hair dryer.

Great central location, good variety at breakfast, friendly staff and a very nice modern hotel. It’s also right at bus stop 13 which is very handy for tour pick ups/drop offs. We had dinner in the restaurant on a Thursday night when they have live music and a longer happy hour - the food and cocktails were delicious! We booked a deluxe room which was very spacious and had free access to the spa which had a nice small outdoor pool. We checked out before breakfast started but they had a selection of pastries, tea/coffee etc for guests leaving early which was a nice touch.

Nothing - we really enjoyed our stay

The location is great to explore Reykjavik. The rooms are well equipped and well served by housekeeping. Great breakfast choice. The spa is small, but they've created a relaxing space to chill after exploring everything Iceland has to offer.

The car parking is limited and we only managed to park in a bay there one night out of five. There is plenty of street parking free of charges and the reception staff direct you. The restaurant is very small to accommodate all guests at breakfast time, but to be fair the food and drink was replenished constantly.
