We had a little mess during check in but staff managed to sort it later, we arrived after midnight after a long flight, the only 2 things we wanted - shower and bed. And we got it!

The room was a bit small with funny outdated TV, a tiny double bed and pillows filled with concrete :D Also we had to take quite a hot shower because the knob that regulates the temperature didn't move, looked broken. The croissants which we got for breakfast in the room were ridiculously small, literary for one bite :D

The Breakfast Buffet is very good. The Food in the Bar is good. The Rooms are large. There is a good local shopping area opposite the hotel.

It is a good location for the Airport and West Dublin. Do know that the location is quite far from Dublin City Center. There is a regular bus route from outside the hotel to Dublin City Center and the nearby shopping. The Number 70 Bus comes to the hotel at night on Friday and Saturdays from Dublin City Center.

Very nice smart hotel, good room, and excellent breakfast

Wifi didn't work and there was no BBC1 or BBC2 on TV, so I had to use my 4G to watch a must-see TV show (Happy Valley). A small #FirstWorldProblem but there you go. Also I was using public transport, not driving, so the hotel required a bit of a walk. (Again, this won't affect anyone else, but both the hotel and the school I was working at had "Blanchardstown" as part of their name. But the hotel is in fact in Tyrrelstown and the school is in Corduff, so they were a 45 minute walk apart.)

On face value the next nearest Crown Plaza is the place to go if you want the height of luxury and the opportunity to continue to trash the planet It's clear the Carlton have thought long and hard about how to deliver a quality service on an energy use budget. Yes it will produce operational savings, but nothing that we as guests found compromised by one iota one of the best stays in Dublin in a long time. At the heart of the Carlton offer is its staff, for whom no effort is too much, and always with a smile. We had our minor issues with lighting the rooms not working, quickly sorted out. The restaurant is great, breakfast superb, loved the black pudding. To greet you on main reception Eimear, setting the tone of the hotel. Well done Carlton Keep doing what you do.

Sometimes you might feel things are slipping, but don't be afraid to mention your concerns to staff, they are just itching to help.

The room was fabulous. We booked a double room. It was very luxurious and spacious with a separate sitting room off the bedroom . There was a Tv in each. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, a buffet with a huge choice of hot and cold foods to suit all diets. It was self service with unlimited tea and coffee. The staff were very friendly and curteous. There was ample parking available and Supervalu and Aldi shops were only across the road. It is very convenient for the city.

It was our second time staying here and the staff were very pleasant.. we both enjoyed the food. Very relaxing hotel.

As soon as we got off the elevator the strong smell of weed was unpleasant. As this is supposed to be a non smoking hotel we were quite surprised to smell this on our floor.. this hotel could do with some music like a band playing or something. Also under the chair in the room was someone else's stockings.

The reception area was very inviting and spacious. The team who greeted us were very friendly and booked us in with no hassle. The room was big and very comfortable and had all the facilities for a one or two night stay. Particularly liked that there was a separate shower and bath with hand rails for older guests. We did have an issue with the window in the room but once I contacted reception, they sent someone up straight away and we were moved to a different room as the issue could not be fixed at that time. Very straight forward and no problem with sorting a new room. Enjoyed a great night sleep and a delicious breakfast the next morning. Ideal location for anyone heading to the airport or just staying near the city for a night. Would recommend.

Nothing other than the issue with the window but as I said it was very quickly dealt with.

There was a bus that took us into Dublin.

I wish there was a choice of duvet or blankets. With the duvet, it is all or nothing. There isn't even a top sheet that could be used when the duvet is too warm. The location isn't the best. We were quite a distance from Dublin and not near enough enough to anything in Blanchardstown within walking distance.

The Carlton is a lovely hotel, we’ve stayed here before! The breakfast was gorgeous as always, a lot of variety! The bed is very comfortable. The bathroom has a shower and bath which is nice! The location is excellent.

The facilities were not great, the television had about 10 channels and some did not work. Very poor for the standard of the hotel. Our room was never cleaned and there was no ‘clean my room/do not disturb’ sign available in room. No glasses in the bathroom to put our toothbrushes. We stayed in a different room when we last stayed here and it was excellent, this time however was not as good.
