Needed to stay in the city for the night. Was great for a one night stay

Not a dislike but make sure you look for THE PINK DOOR on arrival. The sign is up high so easily missed but the door is pink which I read in the reviews. Would be good to put “look for pink door” in the message you get prior to arriving.

The room was simply but adequately furnished, the beds were comfy. The bathroom was newly-renovated (painting still being completed) but of a high standard. Location was good, in that although the immediate neighbourhood was a little "rough" it was an easy 20-minute walk to the Dublin's historic centre. Buses to city and airport stop close by.

After some confusion and assistance from some amazing locals (!) we located the property and entered via pin code/ lockbox. There are TWO separate premises on Dorset Street that are named KGT House, so be sure to read the address correctly!

This is a budget hotel. The bedroom was really clean & nice, quite spacious. Great mattress, equipped with kettle, tea, coffee, microwave. Shower worked really well, give the water heater 10mins to heat b4 using the shower. Bathroom compact but clean and tidy. Well equipped w towels, soap, shampoo. No road noise at all in Hotel Room2. Perfectly good , inner city. budget accomo for an overnite or short stay in Dublin. *It's a discreet Pink door beside the TastyHut takeaway. 1 block further up from Maldron Hotel, on the same side of the road.

This is like a b&b more than a hostel. There is 6 rooms split over 3 floors. We were in room 6 at the very top. The room had a double bed and a single and then another room with 2 singles. The beds were so comfortable and cosy and the pillows were amazing. The room had a kettle and microwave and everything you could need. Everything is pretty old but that didn't bother us at all. The price we paid was so little for Dublin. There is parking around the corner in the mater Hospital for €15 for 24 hours and you're a 10 minute walk from oconnell street. Would definitely stay here again

It was a bit hot at night

free breakfast was great! had so many cereals, bread, jams, nutella etc. lots of sweet things not so much savoury. i could sit straight in the bottom bunk without my head hitting the top bunk which was nice. bathroom were attached and were big and clean! self checkin which is cool. went smoothly. they did have a nice enough light attached to each bed which gave plenty of light. private curtains for each bed was nice.

felt the room needed more ventilation. needs air flowing via vent or window because it became stuffy with everyone sleeping. the fact that showers had limited timing and lights couldn’t really be on all day. would add like savoury things to breakfast like cheese to be put on bread.

I like the way that even in the room of 20 beds.. you still have your own space as the beds had a curtains on them that you could close for privacy.

Honestly, the only thing negative was didn't come in contact with staff much. Could not ask questions etc. Only time I saw staff was once on my 1st morning there and passing a member when checking out. This could also be on my side of things as I was working in Dublin for 5 days and had to leave each morning around 8.10 whole not returning until 19.00

I really liked how easy it was to check myself in with the info they sent me beforehand (although I wasn't sure if I still needed to talk to someone or not, this should be made clearer in the message). The little curtains for the bunk beds were a nice touch for privacy. The bathrooms and the room were very clean!

The message with the instructions should be proofread, there were some issues with the language that made some of the instructions a bit confusing. Maybe there should be an option to book a towel/lock beforehand, so that you don't have to wait for staff to arrive in the morning to rent those things. I think they should remove the bathroom gender signs - apart from the issues for non binary people, etc., some people feel they have to wait for "their" bathroom to be free even if the other one is empty, which I think is a bit impractical.

Good location - 15 minute easy walk down into town, easy to find and access using code provided. Our room was clean and well equipped, good ventilation and windows and the hairdryer was a bonus! The bathroom was modern and clean with plentiful hot water. We left our luggage in the store on our last day which was really handy.

Staff were friendly but didn't speak much English - we didn't use any of the facilities downstairs (breakfast room) but they looked ok.

Location exactly where I wanted.

The only exception was being told in a timely manner the new door codes. Only received 1 at reasonable time. 2 at nearly midnight and 2 not at all. I had to ring and ask. that they be texted. On one occasion I got the info before leaving for the day. If this was addressed, then a good hotel would become a great hotel.

Beds were super comfy and heating didn't turn the place into a sauna, like many places seem to do. Shower was great, and shower gel and shampoo was provided. Recommend this spot!

If you're over 6ft, hope you don't get the top floor room. Bonked my head a couple of times in the bathroom. My bad really. This is the only negative I have for this place
