Had an amazing 4 nights in The Killarney Avenue Hotel. Could not say enough about the hotel. The staff and food were amazing, from breakfast to bar. Rooms serviced every day to perfection. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend this hotel right in the centre of Killarney.

Nice feel to the place, warm. Rooms are spacious and plenty of sockets. Beds are very comfortable, AC easy to manage and responsive. Nice toiletries, nice coffee and tea in the room. The bar food is excellent, the staff in the bar are very attentive and very nice. Breakfast was very good on the Irish side.
Very noisy at night, maybe because the window in my room was right next to some extractors of some kind, but the humming got seriously loud, and because it is very quiet otherwise, it was hard to go back to sleep once it wakes you up, ended up making some tea and watching tv! Other than that it was grand. Couple of things that could make the stay nicer (apart from a different room!) is to maybe add some.packaged biscuits to your tea and coffee in the room, it's the norm in most hotels. Cold breakfast is very limited, but what is there is very nice, especially the scones.

We had a lovely 2 day stay in the Killarney Avenue hotel. Location is everything and we were central to Killarney town but were not disturbed by any noises at night. We love walking so Killarney park was on our doorstop as was the race course where we walked to and met another couple there for a light lunch. I enjoy leisure facilities but as these are only available in their sister hotel I didn't venture there. The breakfast was lovely, however, I preferred it on the Saturday morning as it came direct from the kitchen whereas on the Sunday it was self service and I prefer it when served from the kitchen as I felt it was warmer and better presented. Our room was beautiful and we had a great 2 days.
Parking is limited so when we got onsite parking on the Friday evening we didn't move the car until we left on a Sunday. It suited us this weekend whereas on previous trips to Killarney we like to get out and do some hillwalking so no guarantee that we would have got a space. Again I would normally book swimming pool facilities on site also. We didn't use the bar or restaurant facilities as we were meeting friends in town.

Location is perfect, got a parking space on Friday afternoon when we arrived no problem. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Ate in the bar when we arrived and food was good and it wasn't too busy.
We went down to eat Saturday evening in the bar and it was so busy, we were asked to wait at the bar until a table became available (2 people) that's no problem but I think we were forgotten about. Few people seated before us who were in after us so we ended up leaving and eating elsewhere. Not major but just a shame.

As I arrived exceptionally late, I was very happy with the helpful nature of the staff I encountered.. The jacuzzi was a welcome surprise and was made use of... Breakfast was also second to none...
The table numbering system in the dining room is a little defeatist at breakfast time, as, if the server wasn't present at the arrival of the guests, they gravitate towards the upper section, a much cosier place and nearer to the cereals etc... I was placed at table one and spent the rest of my time there feeling like a pariah not picking my own seating as the majority of my fellow guests did...

Truly a perfect hotel with so much character and beauty. It was smack dab in the centre of Killarney and we had a beautiful view to where the horse drawn carriages (jaunting cars) are staged. In the morning we opened our grand windows and the sounds of the horses clip clopping to their destination was wonderful. We certainly took advantage of taking a carriage ride into Killarney National Park. We had a 3rd generation jarvey (Michael Sweetman) take us on our journey - what a great time! And he is also featured in the renovated Killarney House tour! We had a wonderful Irish breakfast each morning and ended our evenings in the bar with a nice hot whiskey! All of the hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. We were able to walk everywhere and would highly recommend this as a stay if you should visit Killarney. We will definitely return here!
Parking was a slight challenge (small parking outdoors), but they have an underground parking lot and we never had an issue finding a spot. Just be prepared that if it is busy you will have to use the hotel's suggested parking alternatives.

What an fantastic experience,I've stayed in a couple of hotels in Killarney and it's surpassed all others including 5*hotels around the country.Staff were so helpful. An excellent experience from check in to checkout.Great location.
Really can't fault anything aside from lack of parking, this normally wouldn't have been a problem as public car park not far away, but we had heavy rain and made that aspect quite bothersome.

I loved the location of the hotel as well as the decor and the furnitures in the hallway, staircase and rooms. The atmosphere is extremely relaxed even though it is in the city centre of Killarney.
It is a shame that the hotel does not have the pool in the building, but it is so close by in the Tower hotel

Lovely atmosphere, staff were lovely. Check in and check out was quick and easy. Hotel is close to just about everything you could need or want, whether it's for gifts, shopping or a night on the town.
Sound travels through walls more than I expected. My neighbours clearly had a wild night and were loud until 2.30am, I could nearly hear them word for word.
