Location was great. Room was what I expected for the price. Staff were extremely nice and helpful. I feel like you’ll struggle to get anything as central for the price.

Housekeeping staff walked in on us sleeping in the morning. Shower wasn’t great. Whilst it is in a very central area of Dublin, walking the area at night was a bit dodgy.

The room was really clean and comfortable even if it was a bit small. I liked the view outside the window. I liked the window above the head of the bed. I loved the room services every morning. They tidy up you room and they provide you to new caffè, te, and all that you need to make you room as it was when you arrived.

What I really don't like was the noise outside the room. Beetwen the rooms the soundproofing was really good, but if there were somebody in the hallway talking or laughing you could ear all their conversations. It was a bit distubing, expecially during the night.

This is easily the best hotel I've stayed at in Ireland (and I've been to a few). The room has all the facilities you may need and more, and is impeccably kept. Breakfast has plenty of choice and is abundant. Location is right in the heart of Dublin and makes a great base to travel around (although the city centre does get rather dodgy at times). The price was pretty reasonable for Ireland (although it's usually much higher). Staff are usually helpful. Restaurant was also good.

The room wasn't exactly quiet - mechanical ventilation outside the window causes continuous noise, as well as cleaning staff and passers-by. I was also woken one night by a loud argument in a nearby room. The great location has its downsides - it doesn't always feel very safe at night. Probably that's why one evening, shortly after midnight, I had a hard time convincing the receptionist to let me in after the doors had been locked.

Central location. Great Staff.

Being charged over 2 times room rate for Sat March 12 out March 13. Was robbery IMHO.

The staff was very kind and helpful. They speak Spanish and varios languages and that makes easier the whole checkin and checkout. The room was big and comfortable, specially for us, a family of 4 adults. The breakfast was really good and it was a great to have a bar and a restaurant, all in the same place. Another great thing was the location: Could not have been better. We were so close to all the pubs and main restaurants in the city and it was just minutes away for the meeting points of most tours in Ireland and Dublin.

The internet wasn't the best. I was working remotely and that affected my job a little bit.

They showed me great kindness when I needed it most as I was sleep deprived when I got to the hotel. Not only did they allow me to check-in early but they also gave me an upgrade to an executive room which has never happened to me as a traveller before! The staff were brilliant, the hotel should be proud of them for representing the brand outstandingly. The location was also amazing as it was quite central and walkable to most areas of interest! This hotel was made my stay in Ireland ( as a first timer in Ireland) to have a lasting impact on the beautiful hospitality of the Irish and most especially of Academy Plaza Hotel! Kudos to you guys & more success!

Nothing I could really point out in particular.

Everything about this hotel from the moment we stepped through the door was perfect. We arrived around 08:00 following a 06:00 flight from Liverpool...we were exhausted. As our room was ready we were able to check straight in which was totally unexpected but was the best start to our city break. The room was just the right size for myself and my friend. The room was modern and clean. The beds were super comfy! We paid for breakfast when we checked in for the following morning, it was divine. There was a great selection of hot and cold foods. There is also a coffee shop just next to reception as well which is lovely. Location wise the hotel was perfect for us. We walked everywhere during our short trip except for one morning we took a taxi to the Guinness factory to save on time. We didn't see the need to use public transport as everywhere was easy to get to by foot. We were able to store our bags easily between checking out and travelling to the airport. I have booked a lot of hotels in various countries through Booking.com. This hotel was in my top 3.

I have nothing negative to say. Check-in was flawless. Our stay was flawless. Breakfast was flawless. Check-out was flawless.

Good location in central Dublin. Safe location. Close to airport busses and local busses to the airport (please note that local busses lines 16 + 41 are very lowcost compared to airport busses - I am surprised that the hotel does not mention the local bus opportunity as how to come to the hotel from the airport). Cozy bar. Nice and spacy bathroom. Good breakfast with great coffee.

Rather small room - not suitable for staying in the room. The view from the premium room was overlooking a closed yard with compressors making noise. If we come back I will ask for at room with at better view because the room was rather dark.

Excellent stay this time~ The young girl checked me in early around 11:30am on Sat. Although my room was quite small, I still managed to get some rest and was very satisfied with my stay this time. Breakfast was from 6:30-10:00 for just 10 Euros. Then location I don't have to say it again, it's literally on O'Connell St right by the Gresham Hotel & Holiday Inn. And lots of shops & restaurants are on this street, therefore it's very convenient for us to find a place to eat or chill out. Most importantly for me, I really loved the Christmas Tree & lights decoration for the upcoming holidays, that was very beautiful to see! You can also lend an UK/Ireland 3 socket adapter for 10 Euros deposit at the front desk if needed. Lastly, the aircoach bus is right across the street by the night club if you're in need for a ride to the airport.

Just the size of my room this time of stay was very small. I didn't have enough room to put all my belongings on the desk or on the table. Hopefully I can stay in a big room next time when available. Lighting was a bit dim too but at least the lights in the bathroom was very well lit.

The Academy is an ideal, affordable, luxurious hotel in the heart of Dublin City Centre. Walking distance to most transport options, buses, taxis, luas etc. The staff are very knowledgable and will go out of their way to help when needed. The rooms were spacious and affordable with nice finishing touches like local Bewleys tea bags and coffee in each room.

The hotel bar closes early in the night where you are unable to get some ice or a late drink or even a soft drink for the evening. We have stated a number of times and enjoyed the rooms being positioned close to one another, however the double room on the 5th floor was very cold and there was a humming continuing which made it a little more difficult to go to sleep.
