Great place! Don't be put off by the 2 stars! (Due to whatever senseless rules these were given!) The hotel is extremely clean! (I even took a picture of the bathroom grout, because I was so excited! :-)) The rooms are lovingly and nicely furnished. One notices immediately that it is a lovingly cared for family business. I have never seen such a clean bathroom, not even in a 5 star hotel!!!! Thanks for the wonderful stay!!!

The staff was very polite and accommodating. They were also very helpful with directions getting around. Downtown Dublin is a pretty easy place to navigate, but all the directions the hotel staff gave were direct and took me right where I was going. In addition, the hotel room and my bathroom were impeccably clean. I would definitely stay there again. The room was cleaned every day, and the toiletries were well chosen. I really liked the body wash!

I think coming up with a key card, or a lock with a code to get you in the front door would be a nice upgrade. There was always someone to open the door for you, but I think one of those options would be better. The rooms are on the smaller side, but I don't think there is anything to do about that. It was still a comfortable stay.

Olga and Gerald were very welcoming and kind, happy to answer any questions and orient us to the neighborhood, transit options etc. Olga brought us a fresh pot of coffee with biscuits each morning which was lovely. The location was very convenient and walkable to all we wanted to see and do in Dublin. The bus to the airport was a short walk (one city block) which was very convenient.

One thing to be aware of before booking (which we were) is that this is an older property. It thus has some charming features but also lacks some modern amenities (no lift, for example). Nevertheless the room and bathroom were clean and comfortable.

Very nice staff, always ready to help you and give you information. It's a budget hotel, rooms are not that big, but are clean and with a nice bathroom. Went in the winter, lots of cold, but the Hotel was really warm. Its a 10 minute walk from the center, and 15 minute walk from Temple Bar. There are lots of public transportation at a 2 minutes walk that can take you everywhere

The hot water pressure was low, and depending the room you are, sometimes you might have issues with the internet network. Prices in Ireland went sky rocket in everything, including the hotels.

The owner and his daughter are very very kind, they made us coffee in the morning and we even got an irish Coffee in the evening. The rooms are very clean and we felt welcome. Hotels in Dublin are very expensive, and this hotel has a good price quality ratio. We can recommend this hotel.

The hotel is a bit outdated (but clean!). Unfortunately in the room next to us people were very loud, you can hear your neighbours when they are loud, so keep that in mind when you are a light sleeper bring earplugs. Other than that we liked our stay.

The service was very friendly, welcoming, and helpful with any request or tips. The double room offered enough space to store one large suitcase and also had enough space in the wardrobe. Two water bottles were made available every day. The location is fine as well, it takes about 5 minutes by foot to get to the main street and a 20-30 minute walk to more popular shopping areas. There are some smaller take-aways and fast food shops close by and a small cafe 1 minute away to get breakfast. For a short stay, I'd definitely recommend the place.

The only really bad part regarding the rooms was the noise. It seems to be an older building, so you could hear every single step and every word from the other guests. It almost sounded like they were walking in the same room. Depending on the other guests, this can be quite annoying, especially in the middle of the night. Noise-canceling headphones or earplugs helped - unless one is really sensitive to noise. A minor point was that the shower (the round one, I think other rooms had different showers) is a bit unpractical as the shower head is placed at an angle in which the water mostly runs down the door, not the person.

Fantastic hotel. The proprietors were friendly, the location was great and it was possibly the cleanest hotel I have stayed at. Would not hesitate to return or recommend. Great value for money. 24 hour reception so you didn’t need to take your key out with you.

Nothing really. No tea/coffee making facilities in the room which didn’t bother me but my friend would have liked one. However there was a sign saying hot drinks available from reception.

The staff were super friendly from Olga to the 2 other people over the course of night & next morning. The room was absolutely spotless. I mean spotless! And neat as a pin. Tiny, but perfectly set up. All I needed was a bed, TV and shower at a good price, and this was it. I was also thrilled that I could get coffee up to the room the next morning. I thought that was very nice. They also ordered a car for me. Just very friendly and accomodating.

There was really nothing and my stay was short. Perhaps if I were there roaming at night I might have been a bit unsure of the area. Or if my daughter was with and going out alone.... She left Dublin the day before. I was just there because I could not get on a flight.

The location was good. The staff were all friendly and attentive. The room was nice and clean and well presented and the bed was comfy. It was good to be able to open the window as a lot of hotels have windows that don't open. It was quiet at night and was easy to find .

The only thing is we were at the top and there was no lift so a lot of stairs to climb but I was aware that would be the case from reading reviews when booking .

Really lovely staff, they would stand and chat and give recommendations every time we saw them. We had water bottles given each time we came in which was lovely, too. It really is a great location for the price as it was in easy walking distance for us. Good sized room for the price, too - and comfy bed!

Would always love a kettle in the room, but the coffee shop opposite was nice enough. The room was very hot at times so we had to sleep with the window open, so inevitably we were woken a few times - not the fault of the hotel, though!
