The location was superb, could not be closer to the town. There were plenty of amenities nearby. The hotel was also clean and kept very safe. It was value for money, but the staff were incredibly accommodating and available all hours and happy to provide any extras we needed. All in all a great budget hotel for travelling.
The only downside of our stay was our room faced the main street, which at times did get very loud. There is a bar nearby which is silent from the bedroom, but you could hear people leaving on a week and I was woken up once as they brought in the beer delivery. But as it is a main street in a city center its too be expected, and I'm sure rooms at the back wouldn't have had the same issue.

We stayed here for 2 nights, location was good, reachable by bus from the airport (we got the 16 bus from zone 15 at the airport which took about 40 mins and was €2.60). Walking distance to the castle, church, temple bar etc (approx 15 mins walk). Bed was very comfortable, iron, hairdryer, fan and toiletries all provided. Seen complaints about noise from the bar below but we didn't hear anything from our room (112). This was one of the cheapest rooms we could find in Dublin centre and we were pleasantly surprised by the value for money
Room was hot with no openable windows but fan was provided

Price of the room is quite cheaper than rooms in nearby hotels what makes it perfect for overnight stay or if you want just a place to stay in Dublin for less money. So especially considering the location of the hotel in center of town, it's very affordable. Ok, you can notice the difference in compare to other hotels since it's not that modern or stylish, but it's clean, cosy and have all advantages as any other room in more pricey hotels.
The biggest issue is no parking and they have discount for Park Rite that is not the safest option for your car since it's not guarded nor covered witz cctv and there are several burgalers happened in there. It would be much better that they have a deal with Q-Park that's very close to them and secure. Also stairs and reception doesn't look as much

Location- very quick access to the tram, busses and walking distance from só many tourists attractions. The staff moved us to the street side and a very comfortable large room for our 14-day stay. The rooms have double pane windows which eliminates a lot of street and nightlife noise - and they turned the heating up when the cold set in. Our linnen and towels were changed as often as we liked. Our coffee and tea station was replenished on a daily basis. The staff was at hand to give us advice, make an emergency copy for us and always friendly.
The do not have a laundry service but directed us to a laundromat nearby

Perfect location dor exploring beautiful Dublin, although lower booking rate, thos was jist what O want from classic irish hotel. I was satisfied more than I expected i would be. Although many complaints about noise at night, if you explore Dublin as much as you can, you sleep like baby and no noise is distracting you.
Maybe little fridge in the room would be fine cause although you drink many drinks in the city, you need to cool your “good night” Guinness before going to bed somewhere 😁

No breakfast at hotel, kettle for complimentary Tea/ instant coffee provided. Location close to downtown Dublin, access to tram/ bus, walking to attractions. Outside of building need of upgrade, location noisey. 3rd floor spacious room upgrade was appreciated, as it had less noise. Helpful, friendly staff helped with luggage. Appreciated option to leave luggage gor storage after checkout
Noise in neighborhood. As outside of building is not nicely painted, it provides a sense of “run down”

perfect spot if all you need from it is just to sleep overnight
cleaners changed towels and refilled sugar/instant coffee but haven't changed bed sheets, also it was very hot even with the opened windows and closed radiator during the day time, also they said it's not allowed to smoke in a room but since the opened windows i could smell the cigarettes (and not only them) because of the bar which is literally downstairs, quite noisy untill like 3am

I stayed at the Gate hotel once before I found it good and just about affordable for me at 77 euro for the night.Im a pensioner on a limited budget..I booked as a genius booker and I got a reduction.70 euro is really my limit..
I was QUOTED 77 EURO for the nights stay on February 2nd. I booked the room at that rate.. I WAS SHOCKED and DISAPPOINTED when I found that BOOKING.COM had debited 90 EURO from my account...way above my budget....despite being quoted 77 and being a GENIUS BOOKER...I contacted the Gate Hotel..they said to contact you.very disappointed in Book.com

Location is great, walking distance to everything, staff friendly and helpful, we’re able to sorts our bags before and after check out at no extra cost, room basic but clean, tv with virgin, ironing board, iron, hairdryer, fan and tea/coffee making facilities provided, was worried about noise levels and being able to sleep due to reading other reviews so took ear plugs with me and slept perfectly well on second floor level
Water pressure very weak, water doesn’t run cold it only goes luke warm at best so drinking isn’t pleasant, toilet took a least 3 attempts every time to flush, hotel extremely hot even with windows open that said I feel it’s very unfair to say (as commented by previous guests) that this hotel should be listed as a hostel because it’s really not that bad at all

This is a great budget Hotel in the center of the City, it is close to all the attractions that Dublin has to offer. The trams are located within a 1 minute walk of the Hotel, which are a great way to get around Dublin. The Hotel is clean, has really friendly and helpful staff - this is not The Ritz, it is basic but comfortable and clean - in terms of location, it is great.
We had a 2 night stay, we went to the Hotel at night to sleep, and left each morning at 9am to explore the city. Staying in a City you will get some street noise - but after a long day out and about, it did not bother us.
