The location was great and the beds were extremely comfortable. Bedroom was very big for three people. The spanish man at reception was lovely and very helpful. The general aesthetic of the hotel was beautiful.

We called reception a few times for a few different things like toothpaste and a radiator and it took a while for them to get things to us, and we had to call twice to get things up to us. There was a lot of condensation on the windows and you need a heater on to stay warm as the radiators are controlled by a central heating system - this seemed a bit unusual for a more expensive hotel. Some of the furniture was on the older side and could do with being replaced or restored. Overall it was a good stay but I don’t know if it’s worth the price, and the general vibe in the hotel was a bit snooty.

The location was great, the room was good, enjoyed the faciities except for breakfast. The decor of the hotel was lovely and the gentleman at the door was more than helpful. The bar staff were also very helpful.

We had not booked in for breakfast and when we went to the dining room the next morning we were told that breakfast would be 25 euro each which I felt was far to expensive. I did explain that we had stayed the night but it made no different. We went down Grafton Street and had an amazing breakfast for 15 euro each/

Very warm and comfortable, lovely room and bathroom.

My welcome was poor- I was “accused” of booking two rooms! And I emphasise “accused”.. very harsh tone used by the young receptionist. She needs to be trained better in customer care.. Breakfast staff has some issues understanding my requests and hence got them wrong.. before they proceeded to have their own breakfasts from the same buffet! A very average breakfast also. Wifi/connection wasn’t working for me, had to go out on the street to text/call!

Great location in a lively part of Dublin. Great eating place nearby. And perfect for bus, LUAS or Dart. This is an old hotel in the best sense - hospitable, welcoming and full of lovely staff who are prepared to go the extra mile for their guests. Comfortable room. It isn't pretentious. Nicely decorated, clean and warm. Great fire in the main reception which was welcome on a cold and drizzly day. Nice bar and lounge area too. But it is the staff who made the visit for us. Friendly and thoughtful.

Only odd thing was the scooped out style of tap in the bathroom which had a tendency to project water beyond the sink.

You cannot beat the location, convenient to shops, restaurants and galleries. The staff are always friendly and welcoming; the rooms and general area traditional and comfortable. A place you will return to. It has character and charm.

I think Buswells is badged as 3 star but my impression was that it is rather better than that. It is quite traditional in style, with a lot of wood panelling, but furniture and furninshings were all of excelent quality and in good condition, and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel is on the corner of Kildare street, mere metres from a bus stop for direct bus services including the Aircoach 700 to the airport, and several Dublin Bus routes across the city.

Very good traditional breakfast however It was unclear if the continental breakfast cereals etc was included with traditional breakfast.

The menu at breakfast should be more specific on what is included and the price needs to be clear. It was good however and my comments are just suggestions.Staff was very good particularly at reception

The staff members were so kind; the position of the hotel is perfect. The hotel is very nice and clean.

Our room was just next to the lift; for this reason it was very noisy, but except for that, everything was ok.

The location is awesome, with easy access to Trinity college and the downtown shops & pubs. The staff were really helpful and nice as well.

The rooms are a little dated, but clean. The shower drain backed up during the shower leaving me standing in yucky water.
