This was a perfect stay. We had a lovely warm welcome from Kathleen. The breakfasts offered good variety and excellent quality ingredients. The house was scrupulously clean and warm, the beds very comfortable and the decor pleasant. Kathleen was interesting and interested and gave us lots of useful information. John had done much of the work in making the house so nice and cooked for us. We had such a comfortable and relaxing stay for 3 nights. We really appreciated the supplies of fresh milk and well water in our fridge!

Can't think of anything we didn't like. Kathleen went out of her w ay to be helpful, even finding a home for our drpping waterproofs.

Kathleen was the most amazing host. She answered all my pre-arrival questions and was so helpful when we thought at one point we might need to get a delivery to us there. She knows how to make guests feel not just welcome but special too. Breakfasts were amazing, and Kathleen went to tremendous lengths to cope with the Gluten Free request for one of our party - that was really appreciated. Castletownshend is a bit out of the way but definitely worth the effort getting there. It's such a beautiful part of the world.

Two of the three of us liked the beds, one found theirs too hard. Personal choice, that's all. There was nothing else to complain about, it was all just so nice.

We had a lovely stay at the B&B. Kathleen offered great hospitality and was very kind. She gave us some advice on sights to see in the area. Breakfast was served à la carte and freshly prepared every morning - we enjoyed every bit of it! Our room had ocean view, it was very clean, had everything in it that we needed. There is also a fridge which can be used together with other guests. We personally loved the location as it was very quiet but still everything was easy to reach by car (next city to buy groceries etc. is Skibbereen).

It is such a pleasure to spend a few nights here. Kathleen is a wonderful host, the surroundings are so scenic with sea across the road and lots of light and views of nature from the windows. The breakfast is the best I have ever had in a BnB. You can easily walk into the village to eat and have a drink. We return here whenever we travel to West Cork, which we love, the location is great for touring. We were able to charge our EV without any delay in nearby Skibbereen.

it was perfect, nothing to not like.

The hosts Kathleen and John are super hosts. Kathleen even made reservations for us at a local restaurant and then put together a 3 day itinerary for our stay. The breakfast was delicious each day and the coffee/tea setup in the room was wonderful. We would definitely stay here again and will recommend this B&B to anyone we know traveling in the Skibbereen area.

Fresh milk in fridge on landing great addition. Very comfortable sitting room for guests and spacious breakfast area. Breakfast food quality excellent. WiFi fast downstairs. Attentive host. Breakfast available at decent time.

Wi-Fi signal very weak to unusable in room 3. Breakfast menu ordering style perhaps not to everyone’s taste (vs cereal buffet) Breakfast filter coffee on the weaker side. Squeaky bathroom floor in room 3 quite annoying.

Kathleen's place was excellent. Peaceful and clean as a new pin. Useful to have access to a fridge as we were between self-catering places and had a couple of things we wanted to keep cold. Comfy beds and nice views from the bedroom, and a sea view from the front of the house. Very easy to find. Very good breakfasts, prepared and delivered with great efficiency and speed, and with plenty of flexibility. Kathleen also provided a spare sheet as I got a little hot under the duvet, thanks for that. Plus it was a great tip to do the short circular walk to Sandy Cove. Sadly, there isn't a network of footpaths in Ireland it seems, only more major trails at certain locations, so you're restricted to walking on hard surfaces for the most part, but the walk we did to Sandy Cove was exquisite, and very few cars along the way.

We'd normally drink unsweetened fruit juice, but that'a minor niggle. Can't think of anything else.

Kathleen is a great host, with a warm welcome and lots of information. Lovely view from the room to the sea. The breakfast is superb with a fruit plate beautifully presented and about 10 different fruits in small slices. And the freshly squeezed orange juice. There is also a lounge for guest use as there are no chairs in the room. Short drive to the village and the pub.....book early!

Kathleen and John were wonderful hosts during our stay. Kathleen's tips really helped us make the most of our time in West Cork. We enjoyed the quiet location of the B&B, which was also convenient for visiting places like Lough Hyne, Baltimore, Skibbereen, and Mizen Head. The breakfasts were fantastic and a great start to our days. Highly recommend for a peaceful stay in the area.

Katherine was an amazing host. Nothing was too much trouble. Because we were travelling on motorbikes she even gave us a lift to the pub and back for our evening meal. We had the use of a lounge in the evening, so we could socialise with our friends and the fridge at the top of the stairs with fresh milk and bottled water was a lovely touch. The breakfasts were first class, served in a lovely conservatory with sea views. We would definitely book again, if we were in the area. Highly recommended.
