Location is great, right on the main street with shops and eating easily accessible. Rooms were very clean and quiet. Checking in / out was nice and quick. Amazing views of Mt Wellington and Hobart from the lounge.

Parking. Valet parking needs work. We were left guessing where to park our car as there was no-one there to advise - turns out you just leave it on the street if there's room! Breakfast & canapes - we stay at a few IHG hotels and this is one only serves beer, wine and soft drinks for free during canape service (other hotels also serve spirits in their packages). I did not enjoy the canapes apart from the cheeses and breakfast service is ordinary, stock standard bacon and sausages kept warm (and hard), but you can help yourself to cereals and toast. No swimming pool.

Breakfast was a little disappointing - many of the options had run out and they either didnt add something extra or nothing was available, had to ask for juice to be topped up after a number of employees just walked past looked and moved on - egg option was really good happy with chef to cook egg selection and come out in good time.

Happy hour selection was very ordinary - ordered a beer and spirit and told afterwards not included in happy hour - disagree with advertising HH with only a few selections - its an hour come on put all tap beer on basic spirits and wine or add some cocktail options.

The room was comfortable and beautifully presented. The bed was soft and the pillows big and squishy. The bathroom was lovely with more than enough towels and toiletries provided for our stay. I would recommend to anyone looking for a central Hobart location where everything you need, including Salamanca, the wharf and Battery Point, is within a maximum of 20 minutes of comfortable walking distance.

The temperature control took a little work to figure out. Being a Queenslander I was a little cool, despite the thermostat telling me it was 28 degrees. I assumed turning the fan up would be helpful, but it needed to be turned down to warm up. I would also have appreciated the option of a blanket in the room, or to have it made obvious one could be requested on the information page provided at check in. In the scheme of things though, these were minor inconveniences.

We booked a room with club lounge access which was definitely worth it . There was a good choice of wines and canapes in the evening with a lovely view over Hobart towards the harbour. All staff were helpful and friendly. Our room was spacious with a great bathroom and comfortable bed. We could see Mount Wellington from the room. We did not eat any meals other than breakfast but we really enjoyed the choice of food in the mornings and the calm atmosphere in the lounge. We also loved the location of the hotel as we could easily walk to the harbour and other sites and there are lots of shops and restaurants close by.

The valet parking was a slight problem when we arrived as there was nowhere to park but we drove around the block then parked with no problem. It only took about 10-15 mins when we asked for our car and apart from the first time, parking outside the hotel was no problem. It did not put us off this lively central hotel.

We did not like our original booking and the staff were exceedingly good and helpful. Great breakfast spread!!

The standard rooms do not have adequate storage space or space for putting even two suitcases properly and living out of suitcases. If you do not mind your stuff strewn about the room then you will love the place for the rooms are really lovely. We were there for a six night stay and had to upgrade to a better room with a walk in closet whuch cost us much more than we had intended even when the management for so helpful.

The location of the Crowne is ideal for travelers looking to be accessible to all of the good things in life. Sight seeing, bus tours, restaurants, bars, shopping, and the bustle of city life. Great shopping in Hobart for all budgets, and I like to shop in local places to boost the economy while traveling, and Hobart did not disappoint. I ate at local restaurants and got amongst the vibe of this beautiful city. The hotel and restaurant staff were friendly.

The price was a bit excessive, in my opinion. I did book last minute, and there were no other options available for the weekend I was there. The parking is a nightmare, and valet parking is $35 per day plus tips. Breakfast was terrible, I asked for an a la cart menu but was denied, and at $38 per person for an extremely basic buffet, I felt it was not good value for money. I wouldn't eat there again. I ordered room service for dinner the first night, and the tray was left in my room when it was serviced the following day. I then put it in the hallway, and it was left there until the following day. I'm sure my neighbors wouldn't have been impressed seeing 2 day old soup and blue cheese sitting outside the door.

What an excellent location right in the heart of the city! The hotel seems like it's had a refresh, and I really liked the decor and overall design of the room and bathroom. Modcons like electric curtains were welcome additions and it was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. Whilst there are some other hotels in Hobart that maybe feel a bit different or more 'special', this is an excellent value for money option that felt modern and plush to me.

The elevators were just a wee bit slow and one was out of order so we just had to allow more time when leaving/checking out. But not a big issue overall.

The staff were polite, courteous and professional, providing an excellent experience. We chose to utilise the valet parking service and were extremely pleased with the team. When it came time to check out, the front desk personnel organised a trolley, the car to be brought out and it was only a few moments of finalising the details. A thoroughly enjoyable experience from start to finish.

As a non-seafood diner due to allergic reactions, the restaurant was not the most enjoyable experience. The steak meal delivered to me was lacking in flavour and imagination, it could be perceived as a second-rate offering for those not indulging in seafood.

Spotless, spacious, with a beautiful modern interior and extremely comfortable. We were delighted with our room, so much that we were sad to leave ! We had previously messaged stating it will be my birthday. And I was so pleased to find a happy birthday chocolate writing with a few pieces of little biscuits and little cakes. Thought it was a lovely touch.

Not much to dislike. If we were to stay in Hobart again we would definitely come back! It would have been easier if we knew when checking in, that you are supposed to use the card when using the elevator. I was a bit surprised I was charged with the few pieces of sweet treats as I thought it was a nice touch.

Breakfast was excellent. Location was excellent. Room standard and facilities were excellent. Reception staff that handled my stay and several room service matters, including adjoining room noise incident, were excellent. Concierge (Dylan) very helpful.

Room service staff member that serviced our room twice charged us for minibar item which we never used. (This issue was quickly dealt with by reception when brought to their attention.) Also did not empty a full rubbish bin. Also did not replenish tea bags.
