Great facilities, excellent breakfast, great staff, bed was very comfortable, large room, great bathroom, free parking. Walking to the city center is very well doable (30 minutes). I would certainly recommend this hotel.

it is a hotel really adapted for very tall people. the height of the bed is excessif ( you need to jump). The tables and and to hook your clothes you must measure at least 1 m 80 ! Small people go elsewhere

the door or the toilet is in glass and it is quite exposed to the room and the rest of the people who are in the room. I traveled with friends and the toilet was uncomfortable. the door makes much noise during night as it roll’s to the side

My friends and I enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Van der Valk ! We appreciated the cleanness of the room. We were 3 in the room and we were impressed with the size of the room. We enjoyed the wellness center and the room service for dinner. Great location, great staff and great breakfast with variety of products ! The parking is free and the city center is 10min away by public transport. I recommend this hotel. Thank you !

A nice to have would be a massage service in the wellness center. The check in at 4pm is a bit late.

I had dinner in the brasserie and the food was excellent. I suspect the main restaurant menu was more extensive but I was delighted by the quality of each course and they type of food offered. Well located for the University campus, which was relevant for me. About 10 mins walk to nearest train station. So not so good for Central Maastricht.

The air conditioning wasn't working. Apparently due the time of year being cooler according to reception, but that meant to get air into the room meant having the windows open onto a busy road. This seemed rather odd.

The pool/wellness area was very cold. The pool temperature itself was chilly as was the jacuzzi. One sauna - was either inoperable or not finished. It was an room with an open door and sauna benches but didn't work. The other was an infrared sauna which required pushing a button to reactivate the heat every 5 minutes. Also, the Wellness room had a fireplace but it was not turned on. Towels were located at the reception desk...inconvenient. Overall, for me this was a big negative as I booked the hotel to spend hours in the pool area.

Tasteful, large rooms with comfortable beds. Free parking and beautiful decorated facility.

Wonderful quiet room, spacious and family friendly. Pool and sauna facilities were also great for the children. Staff was helpful and friendly.

Location is a bit far from center. We tried taking the bus (it goes very infrequently) and finally ended up driving. This property is good if you plan to travel by car.

The arrangement for meals was very well set out. There was good space for eating and tables were well set out. Food was very well presented catering with good choices for all to select. Good staff and service

Only one suggestion that the toilet in bedrooms has a dispenser for holding wipes for hands in case the bathroom was beng used. This is important especially since COVID has been around and we have to live with it!

Our family room was big enough with a corner for our kid. The hotel, our room, specially bathroom was clean and nicely decorated. our experience of swimming pool and spa was very pleasant. parking area was convenient.

Our room had a modern design but unfortunately lacked some practical touches. For example the toilet door was a slider without being sound proof so if somebody used it during the night, the flushing would wake up others. And there was no water tap in the toilet so we had to go to the bathroom to wash the hands. Having said all of this but we enjoyed our stay very much :)

The dining room / breakfast room is very spacious and well decorated. The breakfast buffet had plenty to offer and was very tasty. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The hotel is well managed and clean. They have a large free parking lot on the property.
