- The staff were always very kind and caring. - Generous breakfast. They left it ready when I had to leave before 8:00. - I arrived early in Utrecht and could leave my luggage at the hotel before the check-in time. - I had a problem with my room and the staff apologized repeatedly and tried to make it less bad. - Beautiful facilities, enough space in my room, nice bathroom.

- Noise in the room, yet they said they would make sure to fix it soon. - I never could finish my breakfast, because it was too much. Maybe explore options to avoid food waste?

Lovely location on the canal and walking distance from the city centre and Dom. Close to the train, tram and bus stops. Very nice and comfortable room with large bathroom. A lot of care taken to personalize the spaces. It's more like a guest house as they don't have a 24 hour desk. But they take good care of you and give you personal attention Breakfast is included in the rate. All facilities including electric kettle and coffee maker provided. They have a lift for the luggage.

Would have liked a cupboard and a larger table to keep things, but manageable

We enjoyed the canal side setting of this hotel and had a lovely spacious room overlooking the canal. We enjoyed the walk into the historic centre which was around 20 minutes. We parked our car in a reasonably convenient secure car park nearby (10 minutes walk). Breakfast was very good - the usual continental offering including cheese, meat & boiled eggs. The hotel helpfully provided me with gluten free rolls which were much appreciated (as I am coeliac). The staff were helpful. Overall I would certainly stay here again & recommend this hotel for a visit to the very interesting & historic city of Utrecht

The little balcony off the bathroom (which we didn't use, although we kept the doors open for ventilation) could have been cleaner & tidier as chairs had been provided to sit out there but it did not look inviting. The view over the canal is lovely from there

The hotel is located a short walk from the centre and the train station. Everywhere can be reached on foot. Parking is also relatively easy, although the hotel doesn't offer private parking, there were always plenty of spaces. I liked the quiet environment of the family hotel, absolutely super comfortable bed and nice shower.

The only complaint I would have about the overall accommodation would be the breakfast. 1. the start at 8:00 is really long (at least 7:30 would not be out of place), 2. there are no buffet tables, but a few pieces of bread and something to spread (completely inadequate) 3. It is not even possible to choose juices, There is only orange fresh (this would be fine, but as an option and not as the only soft drink). 4. Do not look then for things like sausage, sausages, cereals - Simply the usual offer of European standard corresponding to the quality of this hotel.

This is a lovely small hotel by the canal, right on the edge of Utrecht city centre, a lovely area in its own right and a 15 to 20 minute walk to the heart of the city. Check-in window may be limited but staff are very accommodating when it comes to leaving luggage and clear instructions are given for obtaining your key. Breakfast was lovely! Overall really good value.

Our particular room has a shower in the room with no privacy. I would prefer the option to pull a shower curtain across.

The friendly staff, excellent facilities, beautiful decor renovated to a very high standard carried out by present owner and family over a course of two years which was documented and available to see online, the location is within walking distance to Utrecht old town, lovely breakfast with good choice of food, good choice of teas and a coffee pod machine in the room

There is nothing to dislike about the muze and would definitely stay again

Everything about this stay was superb and blew away our expectations! What a beautiful property that has been so thoughtfully designed and furnished. Our room was extremely cosy and got plenty of natural sunlight - the balcony off of the bathroom is where we spent most of our time when we weren't walking and exploring the town! What's more, the staff are just so kind and sweet. The breakfast spread is extremely generous and I let Domi know that due to our early check-out the next morning, we would need to skip breakfast. She offered to prepare a bit of breakfast for us to take with us on our travels ahead of time, truly going above and beyond. Our MUZE experience really elevated our time in Utrecht and we cannot wait to stay here again in the very near future!

Lovely place! If you are tired of going to chain hotels that look and feel the same this is a wonderful option. Personnel very accommodating and understanding. Location looks beautiful.

Breakfast starts very late... especially for business travelers. They accommodate for that and prepare it the day before, which I really appreciate, but offering early "normal" breakfast would be ideal.

What a jewel of a hotel! There are only 6 rooms - each decorated totally individually and uniquely. The house is from the 1800's, and was a labour of love to restore and repurpose. I chose the hotel originally not only because of location and price, but because it has a lift - a real bonus anywhere in Dutch cities (other than the big chain hotels). The lift has been ingeniously fitted into the house - fits one human and a suitcase, but certainly does what it is intended for. We had rooms on the first floor, so only used the lift for the luggage. The stairs and narrow and steep - it is Holland, after all! Our hosts - I cannot say staff- were not only pleasant, but truly happy that we were guests. The continental breakfast was original, fresh, and served oh so beautifully either at the communal dining table, in the kitchen area itself, or in the conservatory behind the kitchen, with a view of the garden. There were tables and umbrellas in the garden, and a safe place for cycles. Parking is available, but expensive, and is on the street - if you're lucky, right at the door. The house faces the outer "Singel" canal, and it's a very short stroll into the inner old city, which is enclosed by that canal. Hosts are only there to greet guests until 6 pm, so you need to plan for that. We awoke to the smell of fresh cinnamon buns...how decadent! We didn't meet the owners, but Julie (above and beyond, guiding us in by telephone when my smart phone went on strike ), Piet, Jesse and Daphne were formidable ambassadors for them. If you are lucky enough to stay at this property - give them our kind regards!

I LOVED Muze out of all the places I stayed at the most! Definitely stay here, it is very beautiful, big, clean, the room has a really nice and chique atmosphere and the breakfast is really lovely 🥰 it felt like a home, whereas other places I stayed at in Utrecht didn’t have the same feel as Muze!

I liked everything!
