The view is fantastic - every window in the apartment offers a beautiful look over Frankton Arm. The space is very clean and well-appointed with nice furniture, a jetted tub, and a good refrigerator. Overall this was the nicest place we stayed during our trip to New Zealand - you absolutely cannot beat that view.

The parking spaces are tight to get into, especially if you have a larger car. The people who had the garage next to us couldn't fit their van into their garage space so they left their car in our shared parking lot, which made it difficult for us to get our car in and out of our space. As a heads up to anyone who is booking, the apartments are on a steep hill, and there are stairs to get to some of them. I would not consider this space a good fit for anyone with mobility aids, especially if you plan on walking to the bus stop.

Photos do not do the apartment justice. The views from the lounge and bedroom were spectacular. The apartment was clean, warm and comfortable and very well equipped. Loved the wood fire, fully stocked and ready to use. Loved the separate floors for the bedroom and living area. Private garage to park our car. Quiet location, close to the airport and a lovely 20 minute walk along the lake and through the Queenstown gardens to get to the town centre. A lovely home away from home. Jude was really helpful and friendly in helping us to locate supermarkets and way into town on our arrival too.

Upon arrival, the property exterior did not look too impressive. Maybe a bit tired and dated but once inside the apartment it is soon forgotten. Parking can be a bit tight, but great instructions on how to enter and leave our garage were provided and appreciated.

We loved the apartment, especially its location on the lake front. At the same time, we could easily access the walking track to take us to the town centre and around the lake. The facilities were very good and we had a great time.

My only complaint is regarding the clothes dryer in the apartment that we stayed in. The door had a screw that was poking into the dryer and ended up tearing a few of our clothes, the only time that we used it. We have conveyed these concerns to the managers in the hope that others would not face the same problem.

AMAZING! The views, access to lake and walking paths. Friendly staff, great facilities and huge apartments. We had the most wonderful stay here.

Amazing million dollar view from the lounge and dining area. Clean and in perfect order. Perfect location. Not far from the busy city center. The spa bath really captured my interest. Wonderful mountain views from the pool where you can see flying aeroplanes. Made use of the sauna as well. We celebrated my mothers 80th birthday there where she really admired the calm tranquil peaceful scenery. What a beatiful place for her to embrace on her birthday and you provide her the comfort and peaceful stay. Got our private parking carport space :) Thank you for having us Spinnaker.

Traditional looking apartment with excellent modern facilities including heated floor, hot water system in shower, towel racks etc made it very cosy stay for our 6 nights Queenstown holiday. It has a stunning window and balcony view to make the start of the day special. We loved walking through the pathway next to the lake to the city where all lovely eateries and activities are.Jude was so lovely and walking in for help for anything. We will stay there again.

Be careful when first driving to the reception, it's a little scary curvy down slope which we later got used to. I would love to see a little modernisation of interiors.

The apartment was well equipped which meant that I didn’t have to buy basic items such as condiments, initial beverages and washing liquids. Our apartment was situated on the lake front which led to dramatic views from the living area. Location was great with a short walk to Queenstown and a path near by leading you up the Queenstown hill. Bsteepbwalk but very enjoyable. The jacuzzi Bath in the apartment and the swimming pool were great after our long walk up Queenstown hill.

Great place and amazing view. Check-in was easy. Unit was slightly dated but clean and well-equiped in general. Convenient to Queenstown with nice walking path at stairs below complex. Manager was helpful and provided good suggestions. Decent price. Overall a great stay.

Parking a bit wonky but we made it work. Frying pans in kitchen needed updating. A few small maintenance issues. Couldn't figure out heat and it seemed to be swicthed off. Getting in and out of complex at top of hill a little dicey but doable.

The apartment provided all we needed or might have needed. The location was excellent for using the Queenstown bus network and the view across the lake to the mountains was awe inspiring. Although no late checkout, we were able to store our luggage for a later pickup on departure.

I was not used to an on-switch to use the oven, so didn't look for one on first use. I checked the information book but didn't see anything about the oven. Fortunately one of my family members knew about oven on-switches (I'd never seen them before).

Our apartment at Spinnaker Bay was the no. 1 highlight of our 25 days in the South Island. Jude, the site manager, was absolutely amazing, extremely helpful and dedicated. She stayed in the office well after the official closing time of 8pm. Nothing was a hassle for her including tasks which had nothing to do with the accommodation but we needed her help on them. The view from the apartment was too beautiful, spectacle, amazing, unbelievable. We had a wide view of the water and the impressive mountains behind it. In the mornings we woke up to a new layer of shining snow on the upper part of the mountains which melted during the day. The clear weather was a bonus. The facilities were perfect, nothing was missing, from gas barbeque to dishwasher, plenty crockery and cutlery, unlike all other places. The apartment was pleasant, spacious and quiet. The fireplace was wonderful. There was a private closed parking near close to the door. Town center was a few minutes drive away. We enjoyed it so much that it was difficult to leave the apartment for the day's plan.
