The view from the room was excellent, and I can only imagine that the higher up floors (I was one the 1st, I think) are even better in that sense. The rooms are very nice, with comfortable beds, and a decent shower. There is a restaurant in the hotel, with good food, and the walk into the town centre is only around 5-10 minutes, although please note that when you're on the way back, unless you're coming around via the ice rink, is an uphill walk at quite the angle.

Marked it down slightly as, like many other hotels, the shower was dirty with the previous occupants' hair and clearly hadn't been cleared properly. Also, the parking is underground, and whilst it's secure, it's also a bit tight. It should also be said that there is plenty of street parking around, and the area seemed safe enough to do that.

My husband and I travel to Queenstown a lot. This was our first time at the Ramada. We usually stay at the Novotel. However, we thought the fee for the Novotel this time was a rip off. It was $400 more than the Ramada, which determined our decision to change hotels. We were really impressed and would definitely stay here again. The rooms are very clean and modern. Everything felt very clean and new. The linen was superb. The room was lovely and warm. Brilliant shower. The staff were lovely. The location is fantastic. It is a short walk to the town centre. We always hire a car when we are in Qtown and we found there was plenty of parking outside the hotel on the street for free, without the need to pay $25 per night for hotel parking.

The room was quite small, without a chair or a desk, which I usually like. But this wouldn't make or break my decision to stay again.

We LOVED our stay at Ramada by Wyndham Queenstown Central. The hotel was modern, very up-to-date, clean, quiet, bed was so comfortable and the staff were wonderful! Having a kitchenette in our room was great for fixing breakfast and light meals and the washer/dryer in our room was wonderful. We also loved the location. It was a 5-7 minute walk to the City-Center or the Queenstown Gardens. The Coco Cabana Restaurant, located outside the hotel lobby, was very convenient. The fire-brick pizza was wonderful! The big plus was the Orbis City bus stop right across the street from the lobby. We purchased a "Bee" Card for $5 (can get them at the airport or the ICenter in City Center) and prepaid trips (1 card for both my husband and I) on the card. Each trip was $2 for both of us…We enjoyed riding around the city, going to Arrowtown (included on the city bus) and going to the airport (wish we had know about this on our airport arrival). Definitely worth it! Thank you, Ramada, for a Wonderful visit to Queenstown!

Nothing we didn't like!

Great location and excellent views from our Lake View room! Comfortable beds and lovely ‘memory’ pillows. We have stayed in Queenstown a few times in as many years, and this is our first visit to the Ramada - we will definitely consider staying again.

Unfortunately, the second bedroom was not set up for our two children, with two single beds. We also did not have towels for two of our four guests. When we enquired with Reception, we were provided a single sheet to dismantle the double bed into two, and to re-make the bedding ourselves. We were also provided sufficient towels with a smile.

Fantastic location, clean rooms, nice and warm (winter).

Front staff and cafe staff were very average and looked like the didn’t really want to be there. Really disappointing service - coffee orders took ages and we felt like we were “bugging them’ asking for a coffee - this happened numerous times over the 3 days. It was really disappointing as we had overseas visitors with us and it was embarrassing to receive such poor service. The room cleaning staff were amazing and friendly! Swap them to the front desk and cafe!!!

The accommodation was clean and comfortable, the staff professional and friendly. We love the convenience of having a washer and dryer included in the room! Downstairs there is an attached restaurant, we went there twice during our stay- the coffee was excellent. The location was good, however there is not much free parking available and paid for parking sells quickly. Walking to the city centre is certainly doable, but it can be a little steep on the return.

Whilst there was an onsite gym, it was fairly small and simple - there were no weights.

A nice hotel conveniently located within walking distance from Queenstown CBD and the Queenstown Botanical Gardens. The place is located not far away from ORBus stop for buses coming from the Airport, Frankton or Arrowtown.

It's Queenstown so there are some slopes to climb when coming back to the hotel from CBD, even if those are minimal here as the hotel is very close from CBD. Be careful as those might be slippery when raining or during winter time though.

The room had floor to roof glass on the lake side, so we had fantastic views of Lake Wakitipu. The room was quiet and seemed sound proof. Loved having the convenience of a washer and dryer. The bed was so comfortable and soft.

It was so busy, being Chinese new year so parking was a real struggle. The valet parking was full so we spent quite a while driving around trying to find a park in the neighborhood - this was out of the hotels control. In hindsight, we should've reserved valet parking earlier as we did not account for how busy it would be.

Great location, room was clean and well presented. The room was a bit small, but we managed okay as a couple with two suitcases. Staff were friendly. Great place to stay.

Air quality on level 3 hallway was hard to get used to, strong chemical smell, I'm assuming this was due to what looked like the housekeeping storage room, but still felt like it needs more ventilation. Also, the sign on the treadmill asks to not be used before 9 am due to noise complaints. Keep this in mind for any early risers planning a treadmill run/walk. Nearby gardens are a good alternative if it's not too cold.

We loved our stay at Ramada. The room was comfortable and the view in the lake room was incredible. Bed and pillows were great, shower pressure was amazing and we loved the heated towel rack. Location is amazing, short walk to town centre (yes there’s a hill on the way back but that’s Queenstown!), right near bus stop too. Would definitely come back.

The room would receive a decent amount of condensation in the morning which could sometimes make the place smell a bit damp but house cleaning would sort that out while we were out.
