An amazing resort with beautiful rooms. The hotel has a breath taking view of Lisbon and there are plenty of areas to take in the views. Breakfast was outstanding with attentive staff and a good selection of typical continental foods as well as some local speciality dishes. The welcome from the staff was great, they are all very attentive. Housekeeping were brilliant and provided an excellent service on a daily basis. The room was spacious and very comfortable with access to all modern amenities as well as grand pieces of vintage furniture.

There was a slight "stale" smell coming from within the room I was staying in. I think this may be due to the old fittings and furnishings, some air freshener would have neutralised the odour.

Second stay at Torel Palace. Amazing boutique hotel, with awesome staff who are always happy to help. Breakfast is amazing with fresh and quality ingredients and plenty of variety. The views from the resort are breathtaking. There are plenty of places to see in the area, including the beautiful Torel Gardens. There are a couple of convenience stores close by as well as a barbers. The resort has undergone some work and this has only added to its beauty. The waiting staff are always polite and provide a good service. The housekeeping keep the rooms spotless and front of house staff are always polite, helpful and willing to assist with any issues. The stay was so comfortable, I decided to extend my time here.

Stunning views of Lisbon from the shared areas (pool/bar area) especially at sunset. Fantastic buffet breakfast. Good restaurants on site (especially 2Monkeys - wow!!) and a decent location however it is a 10 minute walk into the main area and feels a little uncomfortable.

The room (standard room) was nicely decorated however very basic or limited considering the exorbitant price we paid. I wouldn’t pay more to stay in a nicer room as the prices are very high and I’m not sure you’d see much difference in the rooms. The pool was undersized for the number of guests and there wasn’t many sun loungers. The bar prices were excessive - €18 for a gin and tonic is ridiculous.

Extremely high quality mattresses with a wide selection of pillows - will satisfy even the pickiest sleepers. My room was stunningly beautiful with an incredible view. The breakfast food quality, although of limited variety, was outstanding - unbelievable fruit. Some of the staff were truly WORLD CLASS and went out of their way to solve problems that they reasonably wouldn't be expected to (such as Fabio and Philip from the front desk).

Upon arrival, I got a room downgrade because the suite I booked initially was not available. They tried to gaslight me into believing that it wasn't a downgrade. Day later, once my original suite became available, there was no attempt at compensating me. Some of the staff just didn't care - had to ask for things repeatedly. Wifi slow and insecure. Some of the room finishes feel cheap, in contrast to the beautiful building. Laundry service wasn't the best. Bathrobes and towels were dated.

The room was beautifully decorated, we loved the dark colours and individual decor. The coffee and tea facilities in the room were excellent. The staff were all extremely welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was delicious and also the food in the restaurant/drinks. The pool area was extremely comfortable and wait staff very attentive.

The paintwork in the room could have done with a touch up, and there was mold in the grout of the shower. The tap on the basin was wobbly and the hooks on the walls to hold the towels kept falling off. The bed seemed to small for the headboard suggesting that it had been replaced. The music from the new bar area started too early and was a bit loud, and continued all day until late at night.

This place is a gem, extremely well laid out with a view of the ocean from the bar deck. The breakfast room was exceptional with raw honey and everything imaginable for breakfast, including fresh baked goods, fresh fruit, dried fruit, and all manor of hot breakfast options. We actually had lunch and two dinners at our hotel, because all the food prepared was incredibly delicious in every way! Their chef is Michelin rated. The décor of this remodeled ancient structure was like out of an architectural magazine, truly magnificent!

Not much to dislike, other than perhaps spotty WIFI by the pool.

This location was so peaceful. The property is tucked away on a hill and feels more like a quiet resort than a hotel in a metropolis. Upon arrival, we were welcomed to the breakfast buffet which had a terrace overlooking Lisbon. At check-in, we were happily surprised to be quickly upgraded from the apartment we had reserved to the villa. The villa was lovely with plenty of space for 2 or even 3 guests and its own private terrace and hot tub. More than anything, our party was blown away by the professionalism and kindness of the staff. We were so thankful for their help, with our luggage, meals, and transport, and overall for making our stay a stellar one.

Even while the property is well-situated in the city center and near many attractions, it is not easily accessible due to the steep hill. Most of our excursions from the hotel were through ride-sharing services, but this was ultimately more convenient than planned.

Exceptional view, very nice and professional personnel, great quality overall. we had a truly great experience at the Torel. Definitely recommend!

nothing at all. there were works ongoing close to our room during our stay related to the extension of the hotel, but the windows blocked all noise and we (amazingly) were not at all disturbed despite being light sleepers. the hotel staff were also very nice and understanding about the works and this did not affect our stay in any way. we look forward to coming back and seeing the new parts of the hotel !

Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel amenities great. Rooms clean and well appointed. All rooms are different. Ours was the smallest of the three rooms we booked but had nicer views.

Our room looked over pool and at night the spotlights beam into room. Was extremely bright First impressions walking into hotel not great as it feels like you’re entering through an alleyway and garbages we’re overflowing on street outside hotel all three days we were there Hotel sits on top of a hill not close to main tourist areas. Had to take taxis back to hotel after touring around. Long climb otherwise.

In general a charming, relaxed hotel, great views of the city, many pretty places to sit and enjoy the rooftops city vibe. Staff were willing and warm. Breakfast was good. Penthouse suite was attractive and comfortable with good beds and great views of the skyline. There was construction happening just outside our window while we were staying, but management were very apologetic and did - after a few requests - get the workmen to stop on Saturday morning. They also compensated us for the inconvenience. This work will be finished in a couple of weeks and then there will be more penthouse accommodation.
