Breakfast and staff was good. Location was a little far from town but the bus was convenient coming back up the hill
The rooms are very dark. Need better lighting. If you are not going to have AC you need ceiling fans at least in the room ! Room was very hot at night even with windows open. Your little standing fan helped but a ceiling fan would of been better

Location, Location, Location! Staying on Tunnel Mountain, specifically at Buffalo Mountain Lodge, we had nature surrounding us!! Trails right outside our patio door and a special little area across the road with gorgeous mountain views!! A quiet location away from crowds that one might have right downtown Banff. Loved the rooms, comfortable beds and large bathroom!! There is a nice outside hot tub. The food at the restaurant was wonderful!! We loved the staff, super friendly and helpful!!!
Not having access to a microwave in the room. But some of the larger rooms may have such a convenience.

Beautiful quiet location out of town- really great spa and restaurant! The accomodation was lovely- we loved the big layout with seperate bedroom and living area Shower was lovely and hot with good high pressure and bed was very comfy Kitchenette and living area were lovely with a beautiful fire place! Parking was great!
Not super ideal being upstairs (very narrow little staircase too) so a bit tricky carrying heavy suitcases up Would have loved there to be streaming services available on the TVs, in particular the bedroom one Very loud maintenance buggy rhat went past very often from 7am through til past 10pm- very loud engine which woke us up a few times!

Lovely outdoor hot tub, perfect for after skiing. Comfortable and stylish lounge in main lodge. Loved the fireplace in the room. Mule deer strolling between hotel buildings in the morning. Very close to regular/local bus into town which drops at the skibus stop. Good free/strong hotel WiFi.
Room was quite dark. The terrace area we had with our room was dark and did not catch the sun at all (and it was very sunny during our stay). No charging points in room anywhere near bed (I tend to charge my phone my bed at night). Limited number of charging points elsewhere in room. This hotel (which I did know prior to booking) is not on the ski bus route. You must get the connecting local bus from the hotel down into town.

The hot tub was amazing, just everything you need after trekking in the snow (in May). The room had kitchen facilities (fridge, microwave, table, etc) that weren't included in the room's description and I really appreciate that the pictures were accurate. The fireplace is also lovely and you have everything to start the fire.
Everything was perfect. The only thing missing (since I stayed for a week) could be a laundry. There was one nearby that closed during the pandemic so I had to go downtown (a 15-minute walk or 10 min by bus every 20 minutes or so).

Nice Rooms, Nice Restaurant
Our Checkout was not straight forward, as we were going on the Rocky Mountaineer Rail, we tried to check the bill the previous night to save time and to pay it, and we were not having breakfast or an evening meal at hotel, knowing we were going to picked up Rocky Mountaineer Rail shuttle at 7.00am, We didn’t want to be late for our departure, our bill that next morning do not make any sense whatsoever and I asked to have it checked , then time was moving and we had to leave with the bill unsettled, I ensured I would pay them and eventually we were allowed to leave creating stress on us leaving that morning, and worrying it hadn’t been paid or resolved, not my doing, in the end the bill had been corrected and payment has been put in place to clear the account.

The location is superb. The room offered a massive bathroom with a huge walk in shower and free standing bath. The bedroom itself was big enough for 2 queen-size beds, which were very comfortable. There was an open log fireplace in the room along with the usual, coffee machine, fridge, safe etc. The restaurant offered great food and wine. Staff were excellent, knowledgeable and friendly.
The log fire in the room meant that there was a heavy residue of smoke odour throughout the room, being quite oppressive. It was strong enough to require the window open all the time, despite the fact we did not light the fire at all. Perhaps a better ventilation system should be explored for these rooms.

The hotel was just perfect. Beautiful rooms, restaurant, hot tub and the food was excellent. I would return here in a heartbeat. I was worried about it being out of town but the bus stop was literally outside the hotel was so easy and only 2 dollars. It dropped you right in the middle of town so you could hop straight onto the free shuttle bus to the ski resort so even carrying skis etc was not a problem.
It was perfect.

A wood burning fireplace is such a treat and the kindling and fire starter was a nice addition. Comfy bed, lots of storage in the room and the large walk-in shower was lovely.
Firewood wasn't restocked for second night; no place to grab a quick coffee/snack as the cafe was closed. Not enough parking in the lot near our unit (we only had one vehicle) and we had to cart our luggage from a far away parking lot. The claw foot tubs used to have a little side table to place books, drinks etc. and there wasn't one this visit.

The room was lovely with the fireplace which we didn't use but it added to the atmosphere.
It pays to always check the amount when paying as they over charged me initially. Lucky I had printed off my Booking.com confirmation (which I do in case my phone isn't working for some reason and I can't access the Booking.com app). So I showed the confirmation to them and I then had to wait around 10 minutes for them to organise the refund. They said I didn't have to wait but that it would go through but I wasn't about to leave until I had printed confirmation that the refund had gone through. Probably an honest mistake but nevertheless it was annoying.
