July 2024
It was my second stay in the hostel. Very hot outside (July) but the hostel is well air-conditioned. Very nice staff, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen. Many bathrooms (not so big, though) so never too busy. Great location - city centre but not overcrowded. Lidl and Carrefour open 24/7 just around the corner.
Kitchen is unfortunately closed between between 23-8. I realize it is to avoid people having parties there and clean the hitchen but it would be great to take a sandwich or a glass of water when you come back from a drink after midnight. Please, reconsider the closing hours - 2-7 a.m. should be enough! :)

Really nice hostel in centre of Madrid, strongly recommended for solo travellers, couples or friends! I really enjoyed my time there, the hostel is very clean and staff is helpful and friendly! > bed dorms are very space full with socket, light, curtains and your personal drawer (locker is needed). Mattress is good, there’s a big window and air con. > WiFi worked perfectly > shared bathrooms for girls and boys: each bathroom has sinks, toilets and showers. Daily cleaning - I always found it clean > communal space with sofas, tables, chairs and tv available > kitchen is pretty big with two electric stoves, kettle, fridge, freezer and all the necessary equipment. > free breakfast in the morning from 8am to 11am which includes coffee, tea, churros, small muffins and croissants > 24h reception > if you need earplugs, you can get them from the reception - they are free > hairdryer available, you just need to ask the receptionist > there’s also paella night every Tuesday and Thursday for €5 organised by the hostel > coffee machine available and coffee price is €1 > fridge with bottle of waters and drinks available at your expenses. > if your flight is early morning, the hostel can book the cab, you just need to give your name, room number and the pick up time. Taxi price is €33

Super clean and quiet. Cheap and breakfast included! Juan greeted me very nicely. Beds are comfy. People are friendly... Shared spaces are really well thought.
the bathrooms were clean ad new, but maybe there are too few, since they were all busy all the time (especially during the night, why on earth could ALL the bathrooms be busy at 3:00 AM?). I suggest the following in order to better the situation: put the same card locks in the bathrooms as you did in the bedrooms, and connect it to automatic lights: if you stay in the bathroom over 5 minutes the lights switch off...

Free coffee and churros. The location is fantastic. Very near the Tirso de Molina metro station and major sights. 2 big supermarkets close by with plenty of eateries and shops.
The kitchen is a mad house with the staff using the kitchen to prepare food for tapas buffet and paella nights while the guests are trying to prepare their own meals. The work space is very limited. The kitchen knives are blunt and there is no bread toaster. There are guests rooms behind the kitchen and guests have to pass by the kitchen to access their rooms. This makes the kitchen even more crowded. The entire place is like a rabbit warren with too many rooms and hardly any open spaces. There is no common seating area at all upstairs. So the whole place feels very cramped. There is insufficient headroom for the bunk beds. There are insufficient wall hooks in the room. The rooms are also very dim with insufficient general lighting.

I stayed at Way Hostel in Madrid during my solo travels, and it was by far the best hostel I’ve stayed in. I was in a six-person female dorm, and my roommates were very respectful and quiet, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The hostel itself was clean and cozy, and it provided a comfortable atmosphere for my stay, especially since it rained a lot during my time in Madrid. The common areas, including the lounge and kitchen, were great for relaxing or doing work with my laptop. I could bring my food to the lounge and enjoy a meal while using the Wi-Fi, which worked perfectly. The staff was also very helpful and polite, always ready to assist with anything I needed. The room was clean, and each bed had convenient drawers for storage. I stayed in the lower bunk, and it had curtains for privacy, which was a nice touch. The bunk beds were spacious, with lighting and a shelf, making it comfortable. The location of the hostel was excellent, just a short walk to Plaza Mayor and Plaza del Sol, so I didn’t need to rely on public transportation during my stay. There were three large supermarkets nearby, which allowed me to buy local ingredients and cook meals in the hostel’s kitchen, helping me save money. The hostel also had a laundry machine that charged €4 for washing and €3 for drying, which was a bit cheaper than other places I’ve stayed. It was convenient, and I was able to do my laundry easily. Overall, my experience at Way Hostel was fantastic. The location, the respectful people, and the well-maintained facilities made it a memorable stay.

A beautiful experience. First, it's located in a very comfortable place, near a lot of places you would want to visit while in this city. Not difficult to find. All of the receptionists that worked while I stayed were super friendly and helpful. Answering all the questions with a genuine smile on their face, being very accommodating and respectful in general. They propose various activities for the day, like joining free walking tours, or tours around local bars, some traditional food in the evening, even free snacks (and churros!!) for breakfast. For the lockers, when I saw an empty space for the padlock, I got scared. But if you do not have one, they can give it to you for a 5€ deposit which is very nice. The kitchen is fully equipped and comfortable to use. The showers were also comfortable. Thanks for the hosts! The space is full of people willing to communicate if you are also like that:)
The room was a little bit loud at night, and the beds cracking (I slept on the bottom one and was waking up at night sometimes due to another person sleeping on the top one and moving), which isn't a great experience.

This hostel deserves all the praise. It’s the cleanest hostel I’ve ever stayed in, and I especially want to highlight that the bathrooms were always clean. The location is excellent; everything is within a 5-15 minute walk, and all the city attractions are close by. If you need to go further, the Tirso de Molina metro station is right in front of the hostel. There are plenty of shops, cafes, and restaurants nearby—everything you might need. The staff is very friendly and helpful; I would especially like to mention Lucia, who assisted me in organizing a trip to Toledo. The internet is good, the kitchen is well-equipped, and in the morning, you can get coffee from the staff, which is a great idea. After check-out on your departure day, you can leave your luggage for free until the evening, which is another commendable aspect. The overall atmosphere is extremely positive. I give it a rating of 10, but this hostel deserves a 10+! :)
There’s no room for criticism; there’s nothing to complain about with these people.

After years of not sleeping at a hostel I decided to give a try once again. I can say Way Hostel didn't disappoint. It has the perfect location, close to Plaza Sol and the metro to the train station. It offers a SMALL breakfast (Coffee and some churros) which it was perfect for me. I didn't use the kitchen but it looked clean and well equipped. At night there was some music in the common area, but not a big party, so the rooms were very quiet. The 6 bed room was comfortable enough, and each bed has a curtain and a small counter to put your stuff. The guys and girls at the reception where also very kind and welcoming.
I can't say anything bad. Is it a 5 stars hotel? Of course not. But for a hostel in the price range, you get pretty much everything you need.

Everything was very nice, they took great care of me, they have days like paella night, tapas night, etc., you should definitely attend, but unfortunately, some days we cannot mingle as we would like. The kitchen is very useful.

very well located, clean, common spaces are nice, they offer some fun events during the night and walking tours during the day; also u can have some coffee in the morning. Rooms are good, beds are comfy enough
The staff that stay in the day are good and helpful. The guys that stay at night in my opinion they could have a nicer attitute. For example, they said I had bed number 5, they did not accompany me, alright, then I came there the bed was taken. I came to the reception, the guy told me "throw everything u see t the floor, whoever needs to question that come to me".. of course I didnt do that, then he came there with a negative attitude, assigned to another bed. I asked him to update the system, otherwise someone could throw my things on the floor, given his recommendation. Also it surprised me a bit I needed to rent a towel and possibly a lock, even though they were optional.
