This was our second stay at Strathardle Lodge and just like the last time the stay was absolutely perfect from beginning to end. The warm welcome by the hosts Gosia & Chris, the beautiful views from the room to the stunning location within Perthshire, everything is always something to look forward to. It's such a beautiful setting to spend time and explore the surrounding areas. The breakfast is incredible and consistently fantastic, definitely a highlight of any visit and prepares you perfectly for the day ahead. We are already thinking about when to plan our next trip haha! The shower in our room was recently refurbished and as a note to finish, is the best rain head shower I've used. As always there is nothing but praise and thanks for our warm welcome and fantastic stay.

Nothing.

Nice older house with a big room, with chairs, comfortable bed, full sized bath, great breakfast, convenient electric outlets. This was a "last minute" booking, and offered a much better room at a much better price, than anything available in Pitlochry. Hosts were very nice and welcoming. We only styed one night but it was very enjoyable. Well signposted and easy to find.

It is a VERY narrow and twisty road from the A9 to Strathardle. I would not want to be driving it for the first time in the dark (it was daylight for us, so not a problem). Not a lot of shops or restaurants nearby (again, not a problem for us).

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Strathardle Lodge, thanks to Gosia and Chris Parry. From the moment we arrived, Gosia made us feel so welcome, taking the time to share the fascinating history of the lodge and being especially thoughtful with our dog, who was treated like part of the family. Chris came out late in the evening to offer whiskey recommendations, which we truly appreciated. The lodge itself was spotless, cozy, and beautifully appointed, with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The beds were incredibly fresh and comfortable – we all had the best night's sleep. Can't recommend Strathardle Lodge enough for a relaxing and memorable getaway!

Our stay at Strathardle exceeded expectations. We enjoyed comfortable large, quiet rooms with great views over the river. Modern en-suite shower. There are plenty of towels and toiletries. Breakfast was a joy with plenty of choice and efficiently served. The newly incorporated Pub/Bar (Auldclappie) serving Draft Beers and a large choice of Scottish Whisky to try should be a great success. Situated in a stunning rural area, giving easy access to The Highlands. All this is provided by brilliant and dedicated hosts.

We have no complaints.

Beautiful, nicely renovated lodge in a great area of Perthshire. Great location - only 25min drive from Pitlochry or Glenshee Ski Centre, very close to stunning A93 road towards Braemar. There are also a few nice walks in the area. Our rooms was very warm, spotless clean and lovely decorated. Great bathroom & comfy beds. Apart from free tea & coffee in the room, there was a great selection of drinks, snacks and microwave food available to buy in self-service bar. Lounge room is also available for guests, which was a real bonus at the evening. Very tasty breakfast. On the top of that - Gosia and Chris are wonderful hosts; friendly and accommodating. Great communication before and during our stay. We had a great time there and hopefully will be back one day.

I had an amazing experience at Strathardle Lodge. The location is near to the highlands, surrounded by the natural beauty of Scotland, making it a perfect getaway. The lodge itself is cozy, well-maintained, and full of charm. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring everything was perfect during my stay. Whether you’re looking to relax or explore the local area, this is an ideal choice. As a summer lover brazilian couple, we loved to spent great days in Scotland winter.

All good. Nothing to say.

Strathardle Lodge is a real gem. The original building is over 300 years old, but has been lovingly restored, refurbished and maintained. It sits on the banks of the River Ardle, with fishing rights to 100 metres of river in front of the lodge. Two beautifully furnished, cosy lounges with new leather chairs and open fires (in winter). An extensive range of 10 and 12 year old single malt whiskies and some blends too. New owner Chris (since March 2023) will happily share his thoughts on each and offer guidance to help your choice. There’s also a well-stocked bar with several gins, beer, red and white wine and soft drinks, with accompanying snacks. The freezer is packed with a variety of well-priced, ready-made frozen meals which guests can buy and cook (microwave) themselves. The rooms are large and airy, and EXCEPTIONALLY clean, with large bathroom and deep, claw-foot bath. Continental and cooked breakfasts are included in the tariff. Choices include traditional Haggis and Black Pudding. This property has a real, home-away-from-home, comfortable, cosy, relaxing atmosphere. We loved it and wished we could have stayed longer.

Nothing.

The room was simple but very spacious and comfortable for 3 people. Room temperature was perfect, and we didn’t hear any noise around us. We were doing a roadtrip in Scotland and the one night we stayed in this hotel was the nicest night of sleep we had during our holidays. 🙏🏻Breakfast was amazing too, lots of options and everything was delicious. The hosts were super nice and friendly as well.

The location was a bit far away from where we wanted to go, but this is our fault for not noticing it when we were doing the reservation. Nevertheless we loved our stay and would recommend it to anyone!

Our stay was exceptionally pleasant with wonderful hosts and a pristine, quiet environment in a scenic location (loved the board games and the living room). We enjoyed the most restful sleep in ages, thanks to a cozy bed and room. The home-cooked breakfast was very tasty.

While the hot water could have been warmer with more pressure—common in the Highlands—it was a minor issue. Breakfast timings were disrupted by some inconsiderate guests; future visitors should respect the host's arrangements. WiFi was unreliable, but overall, this didn't detract from a lovely experience.

The breakfast was really nice and had plenty of choice. The room was nicely decorated and very clean. The beds are very comfortable too (we even ordered the mattress they use for home after our stay) Chris and Gosha were very friendly and extremely welcoming. The honesty bar was a nice touch. It has a good choice of drinks and snacks to choose from and reasonably priced. Its in a Good location and the drive to it is beautiful. I would highly recommend paying a visit. All the best Ricky Gervais 🤣
