The staff on reception were helpful and absolutely NOTHING was too much trouble for them . Helpful and polite at all times and lovely and helpful always happy to help ! And when I asked for extra milk and coffee it was there !!! Couldn’t fault the staff even the domestic staff pleasant and made conversation this makes a huge difference. Fabulous location and central to everything
Just returning back and beds not made and bins being emptied !! The walls were thin and noisy neighbours no consideration for others staying in the hotel !!!the furnishings were tired could of with a spruce up

All the staff were very friendly and welcoming and you felt that nothing would be too much trouble. My room was very c clean and everything seemed in good orser. The bed was very comfortable and I had a great nights sleep. The facilities in my room were excellent, including a hair dryer, iron and ironing boeard and even a troser press. There was a fan as well as a heater and there were tea and coffee making facilities. Clean towels in the bathroom and all the bedding was lovely and fresh.
The only down point is that there is no lift. I was on the 4th floor and it was quite an effort due to my health, to get up the stairs.

Location was perfect for a quick stop over in the centre of Cardiff. Very good breakfast at an even better price, would highly recommend the breakfast. Good amount of tea, coffee, decaf coffee, sugars in the room. TV works and good mobile phone signal too. There is wifi also. Shower has hot water - just need to wait for it to come.
Did find a hair or two on top of the bed, but none inside it. The bathroom could do with a lick of paint. However at only £147 (2 adults 1 child) through booking Friday night in cardiff compared to many at £200/n and we could have got it cheaper booking direct (found out after). A lick of paint isn’t too much to quibble at.

Every member of staff was extremely friendly and helpful, particular shout out to Alison who simply made our stay. The room is a good size and had all we needed. Location couldn't be more spot on (St David's centre, Central station, Arena etc) and even though right in the party area, we were totally unimpacted in our room by any noise, even on a Saturday night. As an independant hotel I would book direct to support them furhter in future and suggest you do to.
It was odd that breakfast was provided at weekends but not in the week, no bother though as there are some good places (Celtic Corner) in the Cardiff Market (1mins walk away), the matris and pillows could have been better quality, but you know what I still slept great every night

Super clean, safe space and amazing hospitality from staff. The location is very central, and the entire place was really well taken care of. There are no lifts, but if you stay on higher floors, there are encouraging signs to keep going (cutest thing ever). Fresh towels and shampoo+shower gel were provided. Iron board and kettle kit are also available in the room. I highly recommend this place and can't wait to bring my mom next time. Thank you for being so nice and helpful to a solo traveler!
Some people might not enjoy the fact there are no lifts, but it wasn't a problem at all to me.

I appreciated that the staff/owners were incredibly accommodating and worked very hard to make sure the guests felt like they were well taken care of. The location is in the main stretch of nightlife in Cardiff, so it's a wonderful location for people who intend to be out and about during the day. The bathrooms are spacious and I very much enjoyed the bath tub.
This is a historic building, so guests who pack a lot should be aware the stairways are narrow and a large bag will mean negotiating a very tight transition from floor to floor. I was packed from a conference prior to arriving in Cardiff and that meant carrying a 23 kg suitcase up 3 floors. However, if people plan for that, it should be no issue.

The vicinity to all shops, bars and restaurants, the staff very extremely friendly and helpful and made you feel at home. (Shoutout to the great receptionist, not stuffy like you find in some of the bigger chain hotels) made our stay really great, and we definitely be back. ( thanks for reminding me the room number! lol) 104 We loved our breakfast great full cooked, best way to start the day, especially after all those bars last night :-) Great lady waiting on us in there!
The stairs, but that’s just because I’m lazy and prefer a lift. But my fat a** was probably happier with me going up those stairs!

The property could do with a bit of tlc, apart from that it was very good. The staff were very welcoming and helpful , the lady on reception carried my case to my room, which she didn’t have to. The room was comfortable, clean beds and bathroom , plenty of tea and coffee . Breakfast was very good , the waitress was lovely . The location was very central , it was good for which ever venue you are going to.
The only negative is that there is no lift , it was ok for me but it you are unsteady it might be a problem.

The hotel is in a good location for accessing the city centre, the stadium and the castle. Parking is close by and discounted through the hotel. Paid £5 to the hotel and £14.95 at the machine. Instead of £31.95 direct via the NCP app. Room was clean and comfortable. Bathroom was good size and it was lovely to be able to have a comfortable bath. I would recommend this place for its location. The comfortable bed and friendly staff. Would stay again when next in the area.
Having to hand my key in to reception whenever you go out. I found this odd. But wasn’t the end of the world and they must have valid reasons. If you keep the windows open you can hear the bollards going up and down in the morning. But it wasn’t horrendous. Just something to bare in mind if you’re a light sleeper and keep windows open. No lift. So if have mobility issues this place would most likely not be suitable. Not an issue for us during our stay. But would be a consideration if I brought elderly relatives.

Very centrally located in central Cardiff, within minutes walk of Cardiff Central Station and coach drop-off points. All of Cardiff Centrals attractions are within walking distance and local transport hubs are close to this hotel. I was welcomed warmly, my room was clean and the entire property was clean and tidy.
The room was at the back of the hotel, which was quiet but there was no view of Cardiff. Cardiff Central can be noisy at night with visitors, locals and some homeless people. Luckily there was no rugby match at the Principality Stadium, I believe it can be very busy on match days.
