the service from the staff was very welcoming, particularly the waitress that served us in the restaurant, Natasha. she went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and to help celebrate my girlfriends birthday to the point of giving her a card and singing happy birthday. thank you Natasha :)

The room was great; lovely view, good location -- the bathroom was pretty and clean, although definitely made for very tall people -- it was hard to grab the towels since they were so high up within the tub area - lol! Staff was very friendly -- we were supposed to arrive around 10 pm via train, but b/c of delays we didn't arrive until after midnight! I texted with the staff via the app several times as our journey progressed, and they were very responsive, assuring me it would not be an issue to arrive so late. They even sent me numbers of cab companies to call, and suggested I call them in advance -- so we had a cab waiting for us.

Breakfast was included which was great, but it was not kept warm enough -- maybe b/c we were eating towards the end of the breakfast time frame. But it was reasonable.

Staff were amazing, I didn't get the ladies name on reception but Rasheed and Anastacia in the restaurant were great. Breakfast buffet was great value and service was brill. Room was clean with comfy beds and pillows. Shower pressure was FANTASTIC. Blackout curtains were a nice touch and room was beautifully decorated. Ample parking and good access. Awesome views of the loch and very close to town and and 1.5 miles away from mountain base.

As stated on here, walls were quite thin but we were knackered after Ben Nevis so not an issue for us :) would have been nice to have some fresh fruit for breakfast. Dinner prices were quite expensive.

The welcoming look of the property from the outside is just as lovely in the inside . The ladies at reception were smiling and helpful, as was all the staff we seen through out the weekend . As we walked through the dining room to the lift up to our room, everything is immaculate. Our room and on-suite didn’t disappoint either . Warm and cosy and immaculately clean through out. Our breakfast was lovely , all cooked right and loads of choices. The property is situated with the water in front and even though we were on the third floor and at the back we still had a lovely view . We were impressed with the price which included our breakfast and we would recommend this hotel to everyone and will be returning ourselves

If I was being really really picky I’d say you can hear the people in the next room quite a bit . The walls aren’t the best but then you get that in most hotels so I wouldn’t be put off by it .

The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. In particular one of the waiters, Syed, covered for the chef after he called in sick and made breakfast for his guests at 7am! To use his own words, he said he didn't want to disappoint his guests, which I am thankful for as I had a long day of mountaineering planned afterwards - Thank you Syed. The location is great, the food is delicious and their house lager is even better! They are also flexible, letting me check out before the quoted times on the website.

I have absolutely no negative comments about the Cruachan hotel.

The hotel is nicely located just a few minutes walking from the center of Fort William. Lots of restautant nearby. The Hotel itself has a large restaurant were you can eat in the evening. The breakfast was very good. Rooms are modern, very clean, with all the needed amenities.

The only complain I have is that the pictures displayed on Booking do not show the actual room you get. We booked the "family room" with 1 double bed and 2 single beds. The pictures leads you to understand that the 2 sets of beds are actually separated by a wall but it is not the case. All 4 beds are next to each other in a quite small room. I would have considered another type of room if the pictures were honest.

Hotel was very clean, modern and newly refurbished. Immaculate everywhere. Good location opposite the loch and near the high street for some good pubs and amazing restaurants (the Garrison!), and some shops. Delicious cooked and continental breakfast, and easy parking in hotel’s car park. Good location to visit Ben Nevis, Glenfinnan (Harry Potter train and aquaduct) and Oban (great whiskey distillery tour, harbour, and much bigger town than Fort William), and other places too.

The log fires in the reception and bar weren’t working, and apparently hadn’t been for ages according to other reviews. It was very disappointing as we were there for Christmas. The bar didn’t open until 4pm even on Christmas Day, so nothing to do in the hotel apart from sit in your room on a rainy day! I felt there could be more effort to make guests feel welcome and cosy.

The quality of the room facilities including the bathroom was excellent. We dined in the restaurant and found the food quality and presentation to be higher than we anticipated. The breakfast buffet was very good with staff in attendance should they be needed. The location with its stunning views across Loch Linnhe and close proximity to Fort William made it a perfect stop over.

As a Blue Badge holder we checked in early to secure a parking spot as it wasn’t possible to reserve a parking space and the nearest car park is 400mtrs away.

The staff were very friendly especially the receptionist, polish waitress in the bar and the head of service at breakfast. There was a good selection of hot food, an option of specialised teas and more fruit would have been nice but that's just my own personal preference and not a fault with the hotel. The view of Loch Linnhe from our room was lovely. Definetely worth a visit!

We returned early afternoon to find our room hadn't been cleaned we sat downstairs till just before 3pm to give staff the opportunity to clean the room which they did after the receptionst let them know we wished to return. Very minor certainly nothing that would put you off visiting

Hotel overall was surprisingly nice. Beautiful lobby and efficient check-in. Rooms were comfortable, clean, and large enough for 2 people. Room facilities were quite modern and well maintained, especially the bathroom.. Parking has improved, they now have an overflow car park just a few doors down that is well signed, and parking was never an issue for us (we did return to the hotel quite late one night so had to use the overflow, but there were several parking spaces available there). Easy walking distance to town center. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choices, and in our case everything was hot and fresh, and the breakfast room was quite large so plenty of seating.

Limited space for two somewhat large suitcases in the room, but this is not uncommon for UK/European hotel rooms. It is quite a high step into and out of the shower/tub with no bar handles to hold onto; we are tall so not an issue, but could be a concern with those shorter in height or with mobility iasues.
