We stayed in one of the cells with bunks. The room was small but fine for our short stay of 3 nights. Very limited storage, 6 hangers available. The room had a small en-suite toilet and very small sink (which had no plug). We had a dressing gown and slippers provided to use to go to our own shower nearby. Clean towels daily. Comfy beds. We had breakfast on one morning which was excellent. Plenty of choice available and all cooked to request. Tea and coffee is available 24/7 in the bar, mugs provided in our room for this purpose. Apples and sweets available on the bar/reception. All staff were very welcoming and helpful. The Garrison is well located at the end of the High Street a 10 minute walk from the train and bus stations and many eateries and shops.
Parking availability was quite limited, but this did not affect us as we arrived by train. We were free to use the bar area, but it would have been nice to have some comfortable lounge style chairs to relax in in the bar as there were no chairs in the cell.

Breakfast was good, good service. Cooked options and nice coffee, plenty of space so not rushed or too busy for us. Picked a cell room for the novelty and it was fine. Small as expected but don't use it if taking big suitcases! Had a separate shower room which was close by and very nice, so no problem with that.
Parking was not so good as very limited and although you could park at the public car park it was a few hundred meters away and you were a bit more nervous about leaving the car there as it felt quite isolated.

As described, very small bunk bed cell but handy that toilet/sink ensuite in room and dedicated shower just across the hall. Lovely staff and complimentary coffee and tea in prison mugs in the room a cute and welcome idea. We also lucked in with parking right outside the door as it’s first come first serve.
Bunks quite awkward to get in and out of and mattresses hard (but probably not as hard as the originals would have been!) No room to sit except the floor but as expected and just as per the photos.

Interesting building with good services. They have a bar area if you feel the need for an alcoholic beverage. Breakfast selection good. Room small but clean and tidy.
More parking spaces, however, this would be difficult due to location. Building works at the back of the hotel meant tradesmen were using the limited parking spaces reserved for guests... There is a 10 min parking area across the road if you want to watch and wait. I managed to sneak in when a worker left in his van. Rooms are very small due to it's previous use as cells. Snug some would say

They have done a brilliant job on this old police station and keeping some of the rooms as cells. I had read up on the place and decided for a cell experience we had a cell with a small toilet room and sink and your shower room was across the way for your use only they even provide you with a bath robe. We had room only but they do breakfast which was excellent. Some of the rooms are cells so when you book one yes they are small!
Our mattress was a little hard.

The location was fab especially if doing the WHW. The rooms are small which is to be expected since it's an old police station cell. Quirky and different especially if you have kids Staff were lovely. Shower room was in another room which was a great shower.
It had a very hard mattress but that might just be me. Being woke up at back of 7am due to smokers from the block behind you which the hotel can't stop this tbh. Not much room for big rucksakes but we managed.

Location of the hotel was good, right on the main street with food options across the street and 10min walk from the station. The prison theme is cool and the beds were really good! Complimentary tea and coffee were very nice and I appreciated the bathrobes! Lovely shower as well.
The rooms are very small, which we knew but it was made more inconvenient by the fact that there's no closets or cupboards or anything in the hotel. Putting luggage down means you basically can't get through the door. There was a weird smell coming from the toilet that was heavily noticable everytime we entered the room. It didn't subside either - it was pungent and constant.

It was great fun to stay in the police cell as a novelty, bathrobes and slippers are provided to get to the separate private shower which is just across the corridor. Each cell has a toilet and washbasin which was a nice extra that I didn't expect, with luxury handwash and hand lotion. A fan was provided in case you got too hot. No room for a drinks tray but complimentary tea and coffee was available from the coffee machine in the bar, so you could get a latte or a hot chocolate which was nice. Beds comfortable and all appeared very clean.
I was put off by the musty smell in the bedroom and in the shower area and of course it was a very small space. The cell had a window which was open on arrival and we kept it open to try to freshen the air but it still didn't get rid of the smell. Also, the cell was less fun that we expected as we played tetris trying to move around each other and our luggage! Probably better for kids than two adults!

Really funky and fun place. Loved the room, bunk beds were really comfortable and had a heavenly duvet on them. Shower room, although separate, was big with good shower, it was exclusive to your room which was nice. It was good to be able to use the hot drink facility and seating area downstairs as room is small.
The fire doors squeak and bang, which with people using them all through the night, made it a somewhat noisy.

I fell in love. Not only in Fort William, but I simply loved the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. The toilet in my room had handlotion in it, which someone like me with very dry skin can appreciate a lot. The shower had not only bodywash, but also shampoo and conditioner. And they smelled amazing! I stayed in the cellblock, so the room was tiny, however it didn't feel claustrophobic. The beds were comfortable and there were two pillows per bed. The breakfas was good and in my opinion worth the 12.50 £.
The complimetary slippers were a bit uncomfortable, and the bathrobe could've been few sizes bigger. I'm small myself and it was just a bit too tight for me. I would've hoped to have some food from the hotel, however I was told that I can get some takeout and eat there if I wanted. They provided the cutlery and plates.
