We loved how welcoming the service was on receptionand during breakfast. Our room was very comfortable and cosy, we particularly appreciated how quiet it was in the evening -we don't sleep well in hotels but at Lime Tree we got a great night sleep! Our rooms were cleaned and tidied every day. The room was warm for us after our full day of skiing and the heating came on again early morning. Breakfast was between 7-9am, we tried all the dishes and they were cooked beautifully. The staff are willing to help you with anything you may need. Thank you for a great stay, hopefully we will be back soon.
A fridge in the room would have been handy :-)

The hotel is in a great location, it’s a very short and straight forward walk to the high street. Our room was clean, spacious, comfy, quiet and well equipped which is everything you need. The standout here has to be the staff though. Everyone was so lovely, helpful and couldn’t have done more to make us feel welcome. The restaurant on site is nothing short of exceptional. We were the only people eating there that night, they were beyond kind and opened just for us as we’d booked and we were so thankful they did. We are still raving about how delicious that meal was, we had 3 courses with the wine pairings and wow. Strongly recommend staying here and please do eat at the restaurant if you do! Thank you Lime Tree Hotel.

The quirkiness, decor, colour schemes and artwork, rooms great, beds comfy, everything we needed. All staff very friendly and welcoming. The food at The Silly Goose was amazing, service very attentive and quick. Lovely experience , would definitely stay again.
Bit of a muddle with our room, I originally booked a room with twin beds for myself and Sister but given a double. Luckily another guest who arrived at same time swapped her twin room for the double as her travelling companion could not join her due to ill health. Everything else brilliant.

A beautiful hotel in a great location . The hotel was very stylish with a beautiful restaurant and bar area. The food was excellent. We stayed in the mews cottage in the hotel grounds. It was superbly equipped for self-catering if required. I thoroughly recommend the 2-hour boat trip around the Loch, with views of Ben Nevis and creeping quietly past the seals on their little island. The cruise leaves from just across the road from the hotel. If you have a car, drive up to Glen Nevis and see the stunning scenery and Highland cattle. The second night, we ate a fantastic meal at Ben Nevis pub in the high street.
Nothing! Everything was excellent at the hotel. I did think some areas of Fort William looked rather scruffy. But the surrounding landscape made up for it!

Quint little hotel. Very charming and overall comfortable. We liked our room and the sitting rooms (there are 2 of them). Dinner was really, really good! highly recommended It was a good base for visiting the area, including some beautiful hiking!
Be aware - parking is limited (not enough parking for all rooms). They suggest that you can block other cars if needed or park in a nearby paid lot There are no hooks in the bathroom (not even for the face/hand towels) or the room. It would be more comfortable if there were any.... Also, there are no shelves or surfaces to put cosmetics and soap in the bathroom

Nicely sized room with proper amenities made for a nice one-night stay on our way to Skye! Check-in easy and breakfast the next morning was pretty good. Our child was sick the morning of checkout and the staff were very accommodating of a late checkout while we found him some medication.
Not super family friendly for people with a stroller, but thats not specific to the Lime Tree. The worst part of the experience, without question, is the lack of parking and the need to pay for it across the street if you aren't able to snage one of the few first come first served spots.

The Lime Tree Hotel was a perfect base for exploring Fort William. Location was ideal and rooms were very comfortable. Staff was very welcoming and friendly, providing great suggestions about restaurants and bars in the area. We weren't able to eat at The Lime Tree as spaces were limited due to one of the cookers in the kitchen being out of commission. Next time!
Stairs going up to the Mews apartment were a little steep. Not really a problem for us but might affect someone with more limited mobility.

Really nice hotel in a good location for exploring the area. Lovely large twin room with very comfortable beds and a large bathroom with plenty of space to put your toiletries and a good shower. The staff in the restaurant were really friendly and amazing, as was the food (we ate in there both nights). The breakfast was also very good!
As we came on the Caledonian Sleeper, we got into Fort William just after 10am...which meant we had to lose ourselves with it raining, due to not being allowed in the room until 3pm. Perhaps an offer of an early check-in may be something that could be considered to be offered to guests in the future (as I imagine we are not the only ones that might visit by train).

We stayed in the apartment at the side of hotel with lovely view of the water from the master bedroom , with floor to ceiling window - spacious living area and kitchen, good twin room for the kids, lots and lots of space for dogs and chilling out after long walks during the day - just one bathroom/toilet, but no problem for us. lovely to have a bath option ater hiking up Ben Nevis. would definitely stay there again, a great way to end our trip to the west highlands. only very minor flaw was that the terrace was under repair and most windows where out of reach to open so on a warm day this would maybe have been an issue, but it was April so not a problem for us
lighting was a little poor and bathroom a little tired, compared to the finish of rest of the flat -

Stayed for one night, booked at short notice as we had to leave the islands a bit early due to the weather. For that, we were very happy to have landed here! This is a lovely, quite small hotel right by the water and a short walk from the High Street of Fort William, run very traditionally with a reception, a bar and restaurant and two wonderful comfy lounges. Our room was quite large, and though a bit generically decorated, it was comfy and we slept well. The staff were what made the stay really special from reception to bar (and advice on which whisky to try). Very communicative, friendly, we felt made very welcome here. Breakfast was good too, choice of two hot breakfasts along with the usual continental breakfast, good coffee, lovely breakfast room and restaurant. Although we had a room in a modern annex right next to the restaurant, it was really quiet come 21.30. We did not dine there as they had a group booking but dined in another excellent restaurant (Fort William seems to have a few) but I would have no hesitation booking a table there, restaurant looked lovely too.
Not a lot, really. Initially I did not like our room so much, it was carpeted and just a bit bland looking, whereas the rest of the hotel is very cosy and lovingly decorated in a fairly unique yet traditional style, with lots of artwork. But it was comfortable, and given our last minute booking, we were glad to be able to stay at such a nice hotel! Really good value for money, too, with the lovely breakfast included in our rate.
