I would recommend this hotel for its gardens and its setting, and the magnificent building. Especially stand out features are the standard of the rooms, the cleanliness of the whole hotel, fantastic breakfast and the extremely friendly and helpful staff. Indeed I would like to stay there again in the future,,,, but,,,,
I would never go back to the dining room for Lunch or an Evening Meal. On the 3rd night of our stay, my wife and I were both served with the toughest sirloin steaks I have ever seen. Cooked reasonably well, and as we like our steaks ( not dry and not bloody) but even with sharp steak knives they were difficult to cut,,,, chewing them was impossible. We both gave up having eaten less than half the portions provided. We expressed our dissappointment to the restaurant manager but he only offered his regrest, - he could have offered a refund or better still an alternative menu choice,, but he didn't and as a result, we did not and will not go in either restaurant again.

We loved everything about our stay! Staff were amazing, whether at reception or poolside or at the bar. So warm, welcoming and professional. Our lodge was absolutely perfect! It was spacious, comfortable, beautifully and thoughtfully furnished and was a lovely place to come back to after our days out. The pool was brilliant, and we enjoyed several swims. The pool facilities were immaculately maintained, and the booking system meant you could be assured of having enough space to enjoy it all. Our lodge setting was gorgeous, with a lovely and relaxing view of the water. We didn't have a meal (maybe on our next visit!) but the restaurant looked beautiful. This wonderful accommodation and its proximity to Fowey and the beautiful southern coast made our Cornish holiday unforgettable. We do look forward to returning at some point in the future!
I don't say this lightly, but our stay was just perfect! Not one single even slightly disappointing thing to report.

A lot of things to say about this Hotel. The first is that this is more than a 3 Star Hotel, and I would go as far as to rate it as a Four Star. The building is very well kept and retains its heritage and soul with the modern touches to bring it into this century. The Rooms were very well appointed. I had the lower floor with the Terrace (one of only four) which is very contempory, and I would recommend it as you get a good extension to your room with the double doors over looking the garden. The staff were incredible, both proffessional and human which is difficult to master, and they genuinely want to help you. The Swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi were a great way to relax after a long day and the view from the terrace in the evening sunlight is the way to top the experience. Thoroughly impressed and cannot praise the place or its staff highly enough. I hope it continues to keep the buildings heritage and charm, and the personality of the people that make it the success that it is.

Our apartment had just had a complete refurb, so all was squeaky-clean and possibly we were the first guests in. The "welcome pack" was superb with eggs, bread, milk, tea, coffee, sugar, juice, biscuits, jam and marmalade, butter. We were lucky enough to have a lovely view - but not sure that all the others in our rank of four would have had that particular benefit (407 if you want to make a special request!)
Tiny criticism - nice that there were ice trays in the freezer section, but nicer still had they been filled ready for our cold drinks on arrival! Although the implication on booking had been that the pool and spa had to booked in advance, we`d hoped that it might have changed since covid scare has gone. Sadly not. It would have been lovely to just "pop in", but, to us, a faff to have to book in advance.

Lovely lodge with everything you could need, felt very homey! Beds were super comfy too! Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The swimming pool while slightly cold was lovely and the changing rooms were always very clean! Beautiful grounds, a very peaceful retreat and we will deffinatley be back!
Only things to note were that the swimming pool was on the colder side although that's not a big issue. The blinds in my room still let in alot of light so having curtains as well may have been more effective, especially if people have children who require darker sleeping conditions. I also noticed a draft from the front door so having a large curtain to cover that may help as well as making it feel more enclosed especially since there is a bedroom right off the front door and the door was primarily glass.

The staff were polite and very helpful. The accessible facilities were very good. The food was well cooked and the dining room panelling interesting. The swimming pool and facilities were well managed and very good. The hotel and lodges were scenic with different planting and the grounds very extensive.
The charger for electric cars was Project EV which was difficult to access at first but worked well after the initial difficulty.

We stayed here for one night during a week away exploring as much of Cornwall as we could, we visited Wyndham Manor as it was centrally located and only a short drive from the Eden Project which we'd just visited. Overall our stay was absolutely fantastic, the members of staff at the reception were friendly and attentive, looked after us well. The room was huge for just two of us although at times during the night it was unbearably hot. We had a fan for the room and had the windows open but we still struggled in the heat, not much more the hotel can do about that though. We used the swimming facilities and I also used the sauna and steam room, this was great for a relax and a wind down after a long day of walking, all facilities were spotless and as it was a quiet day, we got the pool to ourselves for an hour. We had an evening meal sat outside the hotel grounds which is surrounded by lovely walks in nature and a view of the south coast, the breakfast in the morning was included in our room booking and was also fantastic, plenty of choice available. Overall I would 100% stay here again if I'm ever down in Cornwall, fantastic experience and well recommended.
The room was incredibly hot at times but we are now approaching the peak of summer I can't really blame the hotel for this. We window was kept open and a fan was on but I was still tossing and turning quite often.

Lovely place. The reception area paint colour against the dark wood is on point. The public rooms were exceptional. Good size bathroom with instant hot water.
No lift. Room a little on the small size. Only one chair in the room for a couple. The Sash windows rattled in the wind all night. No shower mat and there should be a grab handle in the shower. A coffee machine in the room would be a positive addition. Unable to charge food or drink to your room. The locking/unlocking of your room door with a metal key is behind the times .

We really enjoyed the surroundings and the staff were great. I left my wedding ring in the room. After contacting the hotel I was reassured that they will send it to my address, after the small fee the ring was safely back with me. I really appreciate this kind gesture. The spa team was the best, good treatments and very attentive. We all loved the quiz night organised by the manager.
The manner itself is quite dated and needs refurb. The bathroom was extremely old and the shower didn’t work properly. The room would steam after using bath and condensation was very high in the rooms. The swimming pool is very old and smells of chlorine badly.
