This was a stop-off, travelling from Cornwall back to Yorkshire. What a find! The pub, both inside and out, were immaculate, clean, and modern. Great vibe. It was buzzy and busy, both in the afternoon and evening. We ate from the evening menu, well priced and presented. We stayed in two double rooms and had a little pooch with us, who was welcomed warmly. The rooms were well decorated and had good bed linen and super fluffy towels, making for a good night's sleep. Breakfast was included, and was waiter served to our table. Brilliant pub would recommend to everyone 👍

Ideal location for a stay close to Upton Upon Severn Folk festival. (only five minutes away by car). A lovely inn with a fine dining room. Breakfast was excellent and the room was good value for money. Clean and comfortable and the bed was very comfortable.

Care may be needed when selecting your room, as our room had very little space between the bed and wardrobe etc and also limited headroom in parts of the room. Larger customers may find this too restrictive, but this is not totally unexpected in an old inn of this type.

The setting for the hotel is beautiful, in front is a traditional green, alongside is a duck pond, and all around lovely countryside. Check in was friendly, we were greeted by friendly staff. Breakfast was cooked very well, in fact all of the food we ate including the evening meal was produced with local produce. The beer garden is well maintained and was very relaxing. All of the staff were friendly and super efficient.

All the rooms are named after a type of fruit, we stayed in plum, the room was clean but for a double it is on the small side, we stayed with our pet dog, so space was at a premium, storage for clothes is not great and as we were staying for 3 nights being organised was difficult. It would have been nice to have had a choice of cereal and fresh juice to accompany breakfast, but that is a personal thought. The beer garden was fantastic, with some really comfy seating, but all the seating area was covered with overhead canopies, it would have been nice to have had a small choice of sun or no sun, after all in the UK the sun doesn't shine that often.

A lovely village pub with rooms, ours was a small double, very comfortable bed; really excellent food, fresh ingredients, very well presented and served by friendly, efficient staff, who were busy but still made time to be professional, polite, very helpful - everything you need. Nice menu choices, whatever your needs. Choice of eating areas - see photos on website, very nice garden with a really comfortable seating area under "sail canvas" roof - really enjoyed sitting out there in comfy chairs - in fact one day spent all afternoon there, tea and then bottle of wine served outside. Breakfast was also excellent, 'Continental breakfast' especially, meant a proper continental breakfast with variety and taste. Pretty village, local well stocked shop, village green, excellent location for this whole area. This one has definitely gone on our "places to stay" list.

Room was spotlessly clean and cosy on a cold night, with a particularly comfy bed. Food was very good and staff attentive. Dinner excellent value with the November pre-booking offer.

'Pear' room was very noisy until the pub shut as it was above a generator?? Once off it was very quiet. There were lots of lamps in the room but meagre light even with them all on. Impossible to read with the black-shaded lamp next to the bed, I had to use the torch on my phone! A lighter shade would probably solve this, an easy tweak.

Everyone was very friendly to us and our little dog, Peanut. The room was very comfortable, but unfortunately, it was situated over the cellar, so at times, it was a little noisy. However, after the first night, Peanut tended to ignore the unusual noises and settled down very well. Staff were very helpful and courteous. The position of the pub was ideal and it was very quiet at night with lots of lovely walks for the dog.

The meals were quite fancy and at times were too much.

Lovely setting. Restaurant very attractive and popular. Good to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room and offers of fresh milk. En suite bathroom with shower over the bath. Information folder in the room included all the menus. Good car park.

My room (Plum) was overwhelmed by the large bed, leaving very little space between the bed and the built in desk and cupboard. The room lighting was rather dark and the bedside lights were so dim they were impossible to read by.

Rooms, breakfast, location, meals and staff were all superb.

Old pallets, leather sofa and chairs on car park were right next to my car door with nails and broken wood sticking out of them. Having a great car park is of vital importance in a fairly remote country location such as this. Sofa and chairs looked to be well destroyed, as tarpaulin had blown off them and were severely weather damaged. So need to be disposed off to clear more parking space and remove the unsightly hazards, which were also visible from one of our bedroom windows. Also large empty vehicle trailer consumed another parking bay and could have been better stored on the grass area behind. Shame, as this was literally the only issue and everything else was superb. Hopefully some constructive feedback to make the experience 100% superb for all your future customers.

Brilliant pub/restaurant, with very friendly and attentive staff. We stayed over for one night, and our room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. It was Valentines Day, and the only food available was a special three course menu from which we were asked to make choices before we arrived. The quality of every course was excellent, with some original and interesting combinations. There was a great selection of well kept beers and wines (and gins!), and there was a good, filling breakfast in the morning. Very dog friendly, but not at the expense of cleanliness.

The room was quite dark, with a sloping ceiling that made the bathroom quite tight. The Valentines menu was quite expensive, and whilst the food was very good it was not quite as good as I would have expected for the price - especially as it sells itself as the best gastropub in Worcestershire. It was a similar story with the breakfast, which was good but didn’t live up to the hype of previous reviewers. We were surprised that we were not offered anything else (eg. fruit juice, cereals, yogurt) other than our cooked breakfast and tea/coffee.
