Great location… quiet room, comfortable bed… the reception and housekeeping staff really are very good. I would stay again if the price is right.
It’s a great hotel but it’s starting to look a little tired decor wise. It needs a refresh, paintwork needs touching up, the bathrooms seem very 00’s with black marble effect laminate, loo roll holder so close to the toilet you have to sit sideways on the loo, also shower over the bath which I loathe, much easier to have a walk in shower. A heated mirror would be good so at least you can use it after a shower. Sure it’ll up its game when the new Indigo hotel opens up across the road.

I stay here whenever I come to Leeds so quite a few times each year and have always found it excellent value and comfort. Unfortunately this time the restaurant or bar were not open so I had to go out of the hotel to eat. Although the room was spotless the bathrooms ( I stated in two rooms this time) had bathrooms that were dated and with some dust and grime on the skirting boards that had been there for some time. There was also only one tissue in the box.
The restaurant and bar were closed. The bathroom was dated.

Location great ,our first time in Leeds ,close to station and plenty of pubs close by ,though that can probably be said for lots of hotels in Leeds, staff very helpful, also liked the option to give room service a miss for a voucher for 2 drinks in the bar, dressing table in room for the wife comfy bed and super soft pillows and the best bit was my email to request a room in a certain area of hotel couldn't have been met any better so overall I would definitely stay again IF it stays under 300 pound and have to say what a great city Leeds was for a weekend great people great pubs and welcoming atmosphere everywhere we went.
Being a little picky though at a little under 300 pound for two nights small things for example is that usually would have expected a small fridge with couple of bottle of complimentary water maybe and bottle of OJ cost very little but make experience better . Price of breakfast at over 22 pounds is a little ridiculous dearer than any previous 4 star.hotels I have stayed in, maybe they dont particularly want to do many breakfasts would be my suggestion?? Also forgot to tell hotel on check out about stiff shower temp valve, we left it on cool but when turned on it was on red hot would say has to be over 70 degrees and desk light not working that is in 414 so if hotel read this please check the shower valve out. Lighting a little dark for the mrs doing her hair n make up.

The hotel was amazing, everything was fast and efficient went upto the room and it was Gorgeous! I booked the Club Deluxe room and it definitely lived upto our expectations. The beds were very comfy. Safe/fridge and other facilities all perfect. The Trinity shopping centre, Restaurants, Bars all within a small walking distance. I’ll definitely be returning to the MalMaison Hotel.
I loved everything about this hotel but one problem we had was an issue with the bath. In the evening My partner put the bath on but unfortunately with the water being scalding hot we couldn’t empty any water out and this lead to a small section of the carpet flooding. The hotel staff was brilliant and resolved the problem and on top gave us 2x cocktail vouchers free of charge . Unfortunately the room i had booked was really spacious had all the facilities but the room we was put in was another ‘Club Deluxe’ The room was a different layout but much smaller. It didn’t have a Mini Fridge and a sofa at the end of the bed. This was a little disappointing but it wouldn’t stop me from returning.

Stayed here a number of times before. I like the location and the hotel is generally quite a smart place. The staff are always friendly and helpful
I felt that it was looking a bit tired on this visit. We had to change rooms as the shower was stuck on hot and the water was painful. The second room was nicer than the first but the bathrooms are still a bit old fashioned. Also, the poor girl in the bar was on her own and simply couldn’t do everything. Tables needed a wipe and the floor was sticky, probably from a spillage, but she was too busy with customers to do it and really needed some assistance. Despite these things, the staff were great. The girl on reception instantly relocated us when the shower was reported and the bar lady was very pleasant despite being under some pressure.

The property is in an excellent location, being in the centre of Leeds. Perfect for shopping, for bars and restaurants. Everything that you might want or need is within walking distance, due to the location of the hotel. It’s a quirky hotel, very modern and boujee with a great atmosphere and helpful staff.
There wasn’t really a downside to this property, everything was great. If I had to be picky it would be that the lighting in the room is very low, so not great for taking photos before you go out. However this is a very minor aspect and personal opinion, as some won’t feel that’s an issue.

This is such a lovely hotel. I have never stayed at a Malmaison hotel before and it exceeded all my expectations. I loved the fact that everything is real and solid and of exceptional quality..perfectly clean public bathrooms, quiet corridors, real huge iron bath in my room with masses of hot water..., comfortable bed and proper pillows....such luxury in the middle of the City Centre. The Malmaison is a haven..there was lovely Patrick, the welcoming, professional and kindly manager, ready and smiling on Reception to check me in at midnight...Sheryl, the day manager was on hand the next morning to arrange for me to extend my stay from one night to three...Preet, another manager, so courteous and considerate...all the staff were friendly and professional...a great combination which helped me feel comfortable and looked after. Special mention for the Chef....genius burger and chips! The Spa Hotel used to be my favourite hotel but sorry Spa...you have been surpassed by the Malmaison in Leeds. Thank you everybody, for my wonderful stay.

My second visit to this hotel!!! Another quirky, fun hotel, not in the least bland!!! Beds very comfortable, fabulous bathroom with quality products. Both tea and coffee bags in the room. A good buffet breakfast, with hot choices cooked to order. Really good gluten free afternoon tea - preordered. Close walking distance to train and bus stations, Kirkgate market and city centre. On check in, you get the option of foregoing housekeeping (short stay), if you choose this option you can avail of either a free drink or donation to hotels chosen charity. You obviously can still replenish your room...

tldr; wild suite, great time, typo on the carpet. The staff were attentive and helpful and personable, from reception to room service to restaurant staff. Amazing unique experience. The suite was wild, we had a great time. The bath was incredible and the decor was bananas, so much fun. It was like Austin Powers had a baby with Lawrence Llewelyn-Bowen from Changing Rooms. The carpet had monochrome cursive text written across it - a sentence written around the topic of surrealism. The quote I can’t remember exactly but it has the word “originality” in it. It’s repeated, therefore there are multiple originalities written in the living room. We were baffled to notice that it is spelt wrong. It is spelt “ORIGNALITY”. Either we missed the point and this was intentional for some reason beyond our comprehension, or we enjoyed the idea that there might be a hotel carpet supplier out there who is actually winning business with corporations like Malmaison, and selling them carpets with typos. Either way, the yellow rhino made up for it and the rad yellow PVC sliding doors. We had champagne on arrival and the breakfast was smashing.
The sofa - although looked cool was so uncomfortable we sat on the floor and would have prepared to relax on the rhino if there had not been such a ridiculously comfortable or bed to hang out on.

The lady on reception was lovely and chatty. She upgraded our room without charge which was really appreciated but when we got in the room smelt strongly of smoke. The window was wide open and it was obvious it was from the previous guest rather than a stale smell. We went back to reception and she couldn’t apologise enough and upgraded our room again. The room was lovely and had everything we needed. The location of the hotel is perfect too
The cleaner could have advised reception of the smoke smell and advised them not to check anyone in but that’s a small thing really as it was all sorted.
