A quiet room for a restful night above the city. Loved the roomy bathroom and being able to take a bath or shower. The comfort of the room. arriving late and leaving before breakfast it was great to have tea AND biscuits in my room, Prompt reception response and service provision when I realised the TV remote batteries must have run down. Comfortable mattress! Easy access to train station by foot, though I should have allowed 20 minutes plus to actually get into the station and onto the right platform!

The pillows were very firm and unyielding and gave me a stiff neck. A slight annoyance that no-one checks that the TV remote batteries have power. It takes longer than stated to walk to the station with your luggage on wheels factored in

The staff were amazing. I had booked after midnight the night I wanted to stay on booking.com that changed my booking to the next night so when I got to the hotel it had booked me in for the next day. The staff let me change the night and upgraded me as there were no rooms left in the hotel at the lower level. I have been to this hotel before as it has fantastic underground and secure parking and very comfortable beds.

I got to bed at about 2am I was woken by the very loud drilling of the renovations taking place the next morning luckily they did not start drilling till 9am but it was so loud. Also the chambermaid knocked on my door to see if I needed a room changeover and when I answered it in my bare feet, I must’ve caught a nail where the carpet meets the rail at the door of my room and cut my foot. I spent the rest of my time trying not to bleed on to the carpet. It is two days later while I write this and it still hurts.

Beautifully decorated and a lovely aroma around the hotel. Very well presented and high end with great attention to detail. Very clean, well maintained and looked after - definitely a great hotel.

The lift was broke and it was my sister’s wedding, this made getting up and down difficult for day 1 but thankfully it was resolved by afternoon on day 2 which was fantastic and really helped the wedding. The staff however were incredibly accommodating and helpful, they cannot be faulted morning was too big of an ask all weekend and the amount of times we needed support for those that couldn’t take the stairs was a lot - they handled it very well!

The position was great for a function at New Craven Hall. Good signage, lit up at night to help find hotel. The breakfast was very good with an extensive choice suiting adults and children. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating not making an issue of the fact that we had a baby to stay in our room which had not been expected. Provided a cot and high chair with no problems. The ambience was classy and the bar area great for light lunch, a quick evening meal and drinks.

The bed mattress was solid and the pillows hard. When I asked for softer pillows I discovered that they were in a cupboard labelled spare towels, but even the softer ones were harder than I expected. As the main reason for staying was to get a good night's sleep this was an issue. The lighting in the room was poor for dressing up and makeup etc for a wedding.

Hotel is a great location, no more than a 10/15min walk to the shops in the centre, and a 10min Uber ride to Greek street with all the bars on. Big room and big bed, I slept fine but my partner didn’t like the pillows, shower was powerful.

Parking at £14.95 per night is steep, I found an NCP on Wellington street for £3.95 for 24hrs on a weekend, it’s a 20min a walk away but worth it for the price difference. TV could do with an upgrade, and some room decor features are a little outdated. Be careful with charges, my partner called to reception to ask for 2 wine glasses to be brought up to the room… they said it would be a £4 charge!! So he went down and got them himself 😂 madness!

Breakfast choice was wide and cooked nicely. Plenty for all tastes plus gluten free. Pleasant staff and attention to clearing tables good. No one rushed us and we ate as much as we liked. Good bar and choice of evening food and drink. Attractive surroundings and rooms laid out well. Pretty good parking too. We always try to stay here when in Leeds. Fifteen mins or so walk to town.

Smoking fumes from the front of the premises. Can smokers disappear to the rear of the hotel? The walk to and from town at night due to beggars and other nationalities just hanging around and outside the flats near the hotel but less so in daylight. Well lit path but perhaps needs some security patrols.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Clayton hotel( Leeds)and it was an absolutely amazing experience. The staff were outstanding, showcasing a high level of professionalism and genuine warmth that made me feel incredibly welcome from the moment I arrived. Though I regretfully forgot to catch the name of the first staff member who assisted me, I must emphasize that he was brilliant in every aspect of his service the moment I have entered He set the tone for my stay with his attentive and friendly demeanor. Additionally, Gokul stood out for being incredibly helpful, always going the extra mile to ensure all my needs were met. The combination of such exceptional staff and the hotel's impeccable amenities made my stay truly unforgettable. I highly recommend to anyone seeking a top-notch hospitality experience.

Starting with the hotel itself, it is very well tended to, clean and welcoming. Staff are incredibly friendly, helpful and supportive, and security (as I returned late in the night) were friendly and attentive enough to believe I was secure in the hotel. The room was lovely and clean, the best feature were the black-out curtains which actually served their purposose which is unlike many other hotels.

The shower water pressure and temperature control was not great. Either scolding hot or too cold and little more than a soft trickle out of the shower head. The glow from the TV standby light took over the room which defeated the objective of the black-out curtains. I solved this by covering it with a spare pillow, which seemed like it could be avoided

It is perfect hotel for us. Happy hour in bar is great and pulls in a lot of customers. Beds comfortable perfect size TV. And receptionist was lovely to us . It’s in a perfect location and it has everything you need in it.

This time I don’t think the room had been cleaned properly I’m afraid. In past visits it’s been cleaned to a high standard. But this time there was a few issues. My pillow smelt of men’s aftershave and it wasn’t my hubby’s. The bath mat looked like it had been dragged around the toilet it was filthy and the side of the bath looked like it had poo on it. And the carpet going into the bathroom had a brown stain that looked like someone hadn’t quite made it in time to the bathroom.

We’ve stayed here several times, and the staff, and hotel is welcoming. Definitely worth having Breakfast, they have a very good variety and there’s plenty it’s also hot. Looks like they cater for all food styles. Eat as much as you like Location is good as we don’t like driving around the city, so is near motorway and other main roads out Can always rely on a good nights sleep, the beds are fantastic, large and very comfy. The rooms are really well equipped.

We found the housekeeping wasn’t as good after previous stays here. We had drunk the water given the first day and this wasn’t renewed, drinking glasses weren’t changed and tea and coffee wasn’t refilled. After a busy day this was much needed We also found that there wasn’t enough parking and my husband had to find alternative parking after a 7 hour journey!! The receptionist did point us to a waste ground near the hotel to park in, which we had to do with hesitation.
