As usual, the rooms are very clean and the staff exceptionally friendly and helpful The room is basic and clean, which was exactly what I needed. My son and I have stayed several times, and we'll be back. If anyone is expecting the rooms to be like the Premier Inn etc, they'll be disappointed however, if you want something clean, convenient and cheap, then this is the place. There was plenty of hot water (although the pressure could have been a bit stronger ... I suspect a new shower head would fix that). Everythign worked as it should and there were lots of power points.
I'm not complaining as I know this place is like this. The decor is tired... I don't mind .. but some people equate this with not clean... it is very clean. The room was baking hot and even with the window open and me turning it off it took a long time to cool... bettern than too cold though. The window that wasn't working well last year, still isn't... 109, was in the same room the last few times I came

Value for money. I didn’t pay very much so expected a budget experience and that’s exactly what i got. I’ve slept on much better mattress. TV in room. Supermarket near, central bus station so can travel anywhere from the hotel. Great base to visit other places on Stoke On Trent.
Cold shower in the afternoon, only one pillow. No bar.

The girl on the reception (i think her name is Carla) was a delight, very helpful and friendly.. The close location of the train station was brill for me.. My room had everything i needed for my 1 night stay, it was clean and fresh and, very quiet..
Having to walk up and down the stairs, but, i already knew when i booked it that there no was elevator in the building, so i`m not complaining..

The location is close to station and the town center. The staff are friendly and have patking in the back. Very clean rooms, yowels and Bathroom was sparkling. Only one Soap was available even though we were two in the room.
We asked for more sugar and was told by hoisekeeper to give us later. Never arrived until after the cleaning. We left without drinking our tea because of sugar shortages.

Near railway station, tidy, not too noisy, friendly. Been a few times and not really had any problems. Though tea bags, milk n sugar seemed hard to get at times. Other than that I have no probs with it 😊
Getting extra tea and milk was hard work..

The price was great for a solo traveller like me. The facilities were basic but I was not staying there in the room other than sleep and use bathroom. It was close to the train station and there was parking facilities.
Although situated in the heart of the area (lynton) it was very close to the poorest people, although harmless I felt I was being watched. This has NOTHING to do with the hotel but it felt like a hostel/ gathering area for them.

Great budget room for the night. Staff were friendly. Beds were clean and comfortable. Water was hot. At this price, you can't ask much more....
This is a budget hotel, somewhat run down and in a bit of a dodgy area. There was a lot of noise from people arguing in the street late into the night. As long a you're aware of that, it's a great room at a great price!

Location: just at the end of the center of the city, 2 minutes to the station, working distance to Stoke and the shopping center Hanley ( 45 and 60 min ) but bus 15 and 25 min.
They do have their trouble with the TV's!

Had a great stay at the crown hotel. We used the hotel so that we could attend an event at Alton towers. Hotel was 30 mins drive to and from the themepark with taxis availible all night. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. We were able to extend our checkout to 12.30pm and the staff helped us out with local taxi numbers for our event. The beds were exceptionally comfortable and the hotel room had everything we needed including tea and coffee. Not quite sure why this hotel has such poor reviews, it's great value for money and the staff went above and beyond for us. We will definitely be staying here again when we go back to Alton towers.
