The facilities in the hotel itself were superb. The swimming pool and changing rooms were very clean. The lady on reception was very welcoming. There are plenty of towels in the room.

Both tvs in bedroom didn't work. Doors on a lot of kitchen cabinets were unlevel.Due to this, the fridge wasn't shutting properly. Bits of food etc on the sofa from pervious stay. Rug looks like it had cig burns (rug in the living room) it did look a bit dirty, too. Also, the lighting in the apartments wasn't the best. The cleanliness of the apartment overall wasn't great at all. This is a shame because the apartment is beautiful, but it isn't keeping up the cleanliness and jeneral maintenance. Also, one small minor thing. There is no drain board or tea towel to dry pots.

We loved the luxe feel of the hotel and the apartments were extremely clean and modern. We loved the location and the fact there was free parking on site. Reception staff were super helpful and really friendly.

The only thing that was an issue for us was the fact that we chose this hotel for the spa and the calm/relaxation side of things being that we were having a night away as a couple. The website does focus on the pool being part of the spa and promotes a relaxing atmosphere. The pool was busy with lots of children as our stay was during half term and there was no ‘adults only’ swim times. After being woken up at 6am by a very noisy family in the room above us to go down to the pool and have it filled with screaming kids wasn’t my idea of a relaxing pool session! I really think having an hour or so set aside for an adults only swim session, especially at weekends or during school holidays would help cater for the guests that have come for a night away without their children!

This apart hotel is brilliant. The leisure facilities were a great addition to our stay and we used the pool every day of our 4 night 5 day stay. On arrival the Lytham Music Festival was in full swing in the park opposite which we happily joined. The fair ground, music & food trucks were fantastic. We managed an early check in with very pleasant, helpful & very professional staff. I had a back massage in the spa which was amazing. Our room was on the top floor but very nice, stylish, clean & a very good size. The kitchen was the best bit. Great appliances, well equipped and a good size to cook full board. We even got a sea view! We were very happy here for 4 nights in a lovely location run by a very good team. We loved the area and would love to return very soon.

The only thing was, that the jacuzzi & sauna was out of service due to ongoing deep cleaning works which we were made aware of at our booking 2 weeks before our arrival. It would have made our visit even better but it's something we can look forward to next time we visit and expectation was very well managed by the team.

The location was great. Good size car park. Reception staff very friendly and informative. Our 2 bedroom apartment was great, had everything we needed. Clean and a good size. Swimming pool, sauna, steam and jacuzzi all really good and very clean. Towels provided. We booked an hour slot for our family and there were a few other families in the same time. We had a free breakfast through Booking. Com and had croissants and cereals. Would definitely recommend Hy!

If I had to think of a negative, the one thing was the door to our apartment block was wedged open all the time, creating a draught. But the apartment was warm so it didn’t matter too much …

The rooms were massive and overall the place was quite clean. Amazing TV lounges and bedrooms. The place had parking and was opposite Aldi if you wanted to grab something to eat. We had our own dinner and lunch so it was quite nice to find a whole cooking range inside our rooms. Would definitely go again with the hope that the sauna and steam rooms are fixed.

The included breakfast was a sham as they were hardly any options. The sauna and steam were not working properly and did not get warm at all as their doors were broken and they did not work properly plus the machines had an issue due to which their was no warming up. The whole of first floor and the hotel as such except for our own rooms smelled of the humid chlorine of the swimming pool.

Really welcoming and helpful front of house. The apartment is incredibly large - it's basically a one bedroom flat. I liked the lighting. Fully equipped kitchen with teabags and instant coffee provided. Bed was very comfortable. Room nice and dark and quiet. I had a relaxing evening and a great night's sleep. Good to have a spa and pool.

Struggled to control the heating; I should have asked but I just turned the radiators off. There was a bit of a whiff of grotty drains throughout my block (block 4). Wasn't too bad in the apartment. The "breakfast" that was included in my room rate was a croissant (not a very nice one) and some juice. The coffee machine wasn't working. The decor isn't really in keeping with the gorgeous period property. It's very sterile and grey. Reminds me of corporate suites.

The location was perfect; across the road there is Ashton Gardens, a lovely park to walk the dogs in and it felt safe even at 2 am! The hotel is also very near the centre which means shops, cafes and restaurants are all within walking distance. The pool and sauna/steam room were spotless with generous opening hours from 7am till 10pm! A special mentioning of the staff is needed, whatever the problem or issue I had they were happy to help!

Try avoiding giving non induction pans in the apartments with induction cooker!

Location was great. Apartment was spacious and modern. We booked a one bedroom apartment with sofa bed for our grandchild but was given a 2 bedroom one which was perfect. Staff were very friendly and the swimming pool was lovely.

We booked breakfast but probably didn't read it properly as it was just a help yourself breakfast in reception. It just had juice, tea, coffee, porridge, cereals and croissants. It was a shame they didn't provide any utensils as we sat in the lounge to eat ours but had to go to the apartment for utensils. A toaster would have been good. Also there is no bar on site. We went out to eat but it would have been good to have had a bar for a nightcap.

Rooms were spacious and well thought out with everything we needed for a few days' stay with 2 small children. Swimming pool area was lovely and we really enjoyed our time there. We knew what to expect with the breakfast and the croissants and coffee were good. Plenty of free parking onsite and a big Aldi and Sainsburys within stumbling distance. Would have been a good spot to explore the beaches (if the weather had played nicely!)

Really bad smell of drains in the apartment for the 2 days we were there. We did see the council trying to sort it out both mornings but to no avail. Would also say that a tea towel in the apartment would be a good addition. Sofa was very uncomfortable to sit on but I'm guessing that trying to find a sofa bed that is comfortable isn't hugely easy!

Beautifully decorated rooms and hotel in a great location with free parking. The gardens across the road are stunning and a lovely walk around. Lytham high street is only 5 minutes away and it’s hard to believe Blackpool is the next town over when you’re in a stunning place like this. The pool and jacuzzi area is lovely too. This is probably the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at in the UK for the price. Truly stunning and clean, which to say its a dog friendly hotel it’s one of the cleanest I’ve ever been in!

Staff were incredible but I did find they often weren’t at the reception desk and hard to find, meaning a fair bit of waiting around until someone showed. The breakfast is also basic (continental but very minimal choice), I think I paid more for this to be included which is disappointing and had we have known we wouldn’t have bothered. There was also only luke warm water in the bath, (separate) shower was fine though. These things are all very minor and I still rate the hotel an overall 9.5, almost 10/10 but always room for improvement!
