The staff are all very friendly (especially one young chap up in Sora who went out of his way to explain the menu etc when we popped up for a nosey on check-in). If you stay longer than one night, you can opt for eco cleaning of your room and receive drinks vouchers for the bar (valid in both). Breakfast was extremely good, delicious and well presented. The hotel is in a fantastic location. There are two free bus services in Manchester (number 1 & 2). We took the 2 from Piccadilly station to Deansgate (3 stops) and then it was a quick walk to the hotel. In the other direction, a few minutes walk will get you to St Peter's Square with all the tram stops. We took the tram to Media City for the Lowry Theatre and Imperial War Museum. We also took a tram back to the airport on our last day. I can also recommend a walking tour (Rock n Goal) which gives a great insight into Manchester.

The only thing that let the rooms down for me was the lighting. It is really difficult to see properly in the mirrors in the bedroom (for example when drying your hair). It would also be good to have some hooks to hang wet jackets on (maybe near the door).

Love the whole asthetic of this hotel. Very retro and a little dark and moody. The room we had was large and we had windows on both sides which was nice.Love the dressing gowns, nice touch. The shower room was a good size and nicely finished. Loved the murial of the parrot. Check in was a breeze and, the irish lady on reception, and Gabrielle who worked in the bar were so warm and welcoming. He made us some lovely cocktails.

Was dissapointed that the rooftop bar/ restaurant was not open as this was the reason we booked it over another hotel. Also its the first time in a hotel where there was no free movie channel. Every channel was sky news and sky sports. The movies you had to pay for, so that was a little dissapointing as there was nothing to watch. I would still stay again, and hopefully get the chance to visit the rooftop bar next time.

The room was amazing. Great view. Night manager and waitress on the rooftop bar was amazing. Made our stay a bit better. Rooftop bar was a must see

Manager at check in said our room wasnt ready at 3pm so told us to wait at the bar. He then proceeded to serve 7 more couples and they all went to their room. 20 minutes we then decided to join the queue again where he left us waiting a further 5 minutes whilst he dealt with paperwork. I understand that this is necessary but we arrived just before 3pm and felt like because we weren't the normal clientele, we didnt deserve that service. Wasnt good first impressions. The lifts were very confusing. We were at the rooftop bar and called a lift. We pressed 6 for our floor and then got whisked down to the bottom floor to be told that that particular lift doesnt go to room floors. It would have been better if it just had the appropriate buttons or a sign in the lift.

This Hotel was amazing stayed in a club room the decor was so beautiful, room was very clean the bed was extremely comfortable and we slept well with no disturbance. Appreciated the little extra’s provided in the room (chocolates and biscuits) The rooftop bar was really good excellent service and Mariano took good care of us great choice of cocktails tried a few they were superb. The location of the hotel was also good only short walk into the centre of town. Definitely would stay here again. No complaints at all.

Nothing exceptional hotel stay.

Fabulous location , hotel decor is gorgeous and the theme ran through to the rooms, bathroom stunning , fabulous shower, staff welcoming and friendly, roof terrace superb , we ate in Sora roof restaurant in the evening , would highly recommend , Luke our waiter was friendly and attentive , there is construction work across the rd on the town hall /Albert sq which once finished will make the location even more fabulous, & room views will have a wonderful view of a beautiful building , this did not in any way disturb our trip ,

Breakfast excellent . Good choice and high standard. Also had lunch which was very good from the bar. The beds comfy The hotel was nice and cool , you could turn the temperature up in the rooms but usually I find the heating too high in most hotels so made a nice change.

Booked two rooms and advised booking.com that I required a twin room as it was myself and my son staying. I had paid for a larger room on that basis. They had allocated a double room and said booking.com had not advised them of this. We therefore had to move rooms to a standard twin room.

The hotel was clean, staff were pleasant, and for a last moment booking and getting to the hotel early, I was very pleasantly surprised the room was ready, the bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was fantastic. Will definitely be coming back again one day

The one thing I didn’t like about the hotel if I had pick something is that, after a certain time only one lift was available to use as the other was mainly used for the restaurant and some times was a bit of wait for the lift. But other than that it was an excellent stay.

This is a fantastic new hotel with great facilities. The hotel staff were helpful and friendly - nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were fantastic, - with great facilities and a great shower. Everywhere was exceptionally clean. The breakfast was great with lots of choice. We also enjoyed the rooftop hotel bar and service. It is in a great location and was reasonably priced. I would definitely stay again.

The Town Hall is being renovated and there is a lot of building nearby. That said, there is nothing the hotel can do about that.

Lovely and clean hotel. Loved the decor! All staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. Loved the little 'special touch' in our room - it was my husbands 50th birthday and the team left a card with free vouchers for cocktails (although we only saw it on the day we checked out and so couldn't use it as it was no longer valid!)

The lighting in the room was quite low and while I understand that this adds to the ambience, I struggled to see properly to dry my hair and do my make-up!

great setting and decoration; showers were amazing, bed comfortable and outside noise did not leak into the room. Ironing board and iron was used and was appropriate and usable

there wasn't a member of staff in the front desk when I arrived to check in; had to ask someone in the bar who said to wait in the front desk whilst they reached out for someone to check me in
