Really superb ambience in the hotel. By far one of the classiest venues in the Southampton area. Really great lobby area, fancy rooms, everything feels high class and modern. The staff were professional and helpful at all times. Far more so than other hotel chains. The price if booked in advance is not much more than the Holiday Inn Express across the road. Fantastic value for money.

Parking can be difficult at peak times. I have stayed here twice, and the second room was slightly more worn out than the first booking, which was slightly disappointing. However I am splitting hairs here. The Hotel is great.

Good location, nice view of the stadium, good breakfast.

We were told our room was still dirty when we arrived 30 minutes after our due check in time and was switched to an alternative room. The room seemed clean on first looks but above the bed there was thick dust on top of the headboard and was falling down on to our pillows and side tables. The room in general had not been cleaned very well either. By the morning, our phones that were on charge were covered in this dust as well as the phone on the side table so who knows what we breathed in overnight. When we were leaving our room we had to mention it to the head of cleaning services as we thought it was not acceptable.

Stayed over the weekend and was checked in by Sophie. I walked into my room and had a few issues so I went down to reception where I was greeted by Emma and requested a room change. They managed to find me another room to move to and I was honestly overwhelmed with how genuinely friendly these two ladies were. I had the best stay over the weekend because of Sophie and Emma. You can usually tell when members of staff are only being nice because it’s their job but both Sophie and Emma were both very professional whilst being genuinely friendly and dedicated to help me. I would easily book here again purely for the level of service I was greeted with during my stay. Not to mention the view of the pitch was sensational! A special thanks to these two ladies for making my stay 10x better! :)

We recently stayed at the hotel and were delighted with our experience. The air conditioning was in perfect working order, providing much-needed relief on a scorching day, after having to move from another hotel that was burning hot. The reception desk staff were incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, quickly preparing the sofa bed for our children. Additionally, the well-equipped gym, enjoyable breakfast, and lovely room with a fantastic view of the cricket ground all contributed to a wonderful stay.

Shower gel, shampoo and conditioner were all in need of replenishing. No replacement nespresso pods.

lovely decor, 1st class welcoming staff who would do anything to make our mother daughter trip special. delicious food, and made a vegan option vegetarian for me, with normal cheese and normal burger bun, the staff were really helpful and friendly and made our stay memorable.

the clear class panel divider on the balcony, next door could see straight into the whole room. I would have preferred to have the curtains in two halves to achieve privacy on each side, frosted glass panels would achieve this too. a beautiful view, but had to close the whole curtain to get changed etc. a mirror above the desk would be useful too, in order to do my hair, I had to move the desk chair to the full length mirror and move the round table from the sofa to the full length mirror to put my straighteners on. some hooks for coats would be useful too please

I stayed here for a family funeral. My room was super, although I was a bit disappointed to not have a view over the cricket stands as this was the view that was everywhere on the website... The breakfast was delicious and excellent value. I also enjoyed sitting on the terrace with my family in the evening.

One member of staff in the bar was rude to a member of the party. We were there for a funeral and a wake and more sensitivity could have been shown. However, it is important to say that the majority of the staff were lovely.

The location was very good for overnight after Spanish ferry. Clean large room with good beds. Only draw back l mentioned to staff was that we would have liked a twin bed disabled room. Not all disabled people travel with a relative carer and also many disabled people have health issues -which mean sleeping in a single double bed is not idea. Yes you can book two rooms -but all adds to the expense. If you have zip and link beds then it offers an option? So many more disabled people travelling now a days it would be fairly easy for hotels to offer this? Or offer a twin walk in shower bedroom with the offer of a special disabled shower stool???

One single bed in disabled room but other than that a great stay!

View from the premium deluxe room is amazing! Nothing beats sitting on the balcony overlooking the grounds and enjoying a cheeky drink, watching the sunset. The spa is also well worth the additional cost. I prefer the twilight session as it is cheaper and quieter. The facilities are amazing, with plenty to choose from, including an outside jacuzzi. This is by far my favourite spa out of all the ones I have been to. Breakfast is lovely with plenty of choice of food and eggs cooked to order. Room service was very good and quick, although there isn’t the biggest choice of food and it is quite expensive for what it is. All staff are incredibly polite and courteous and happy to help with anything you need.

The only thing I didn’t like was the bed. I have fibromyalgia and found the mattress too hard, so I was awake most of the night in pain. My mum however, absolutely loved it and had the best nights sleep in ages apparently, so it is just one of those personal preferences.

The hotel was convenient for our Christmas party at the Ageas Bowl, the reception staff were very friendly and welcoming upon check-in & checkout - we were upgraded to a room with a view over the pitch. The room was spacious and clean, there were some areas in our room that needed attention

The desk in our room was tired and cracking on the edges, the vanity mirror in the bathroom had a broken hinge so could only sit in one position otherwise I couldn’t see at all, the shower hose had leaks at the point where the shower head and hose attach making the pressure lower than it should have been

Very nice welcome when checking into the hotel, after finding a car park space really easily even though this was a busy time of year. Great room located on the top floor so nice and quite well out the way, lovely clean room with everything working as it should.

Only issue that i would say is that the shower trays leak over onto the bathroom floors and out under the bathroom door! It would appear that this may be resolved just by installing a flat rainfall style showerhead so that the water isnt directly pointing out the shower. but a nice shower still!
