Loved our stay here. We only had 1 night away so wanted to make the most of it. After a mix up with check in times due to booking.com not advertising the correct time, our hosts were able to have our room ready for 1pm. Usual check in is 2pm, so still very good. Check in was via a key safe so also very straightforward. The room (5) was clean and bright. The TV was decent, the bed lovely and firm and there was a desk with 2 very comfortable chairs. The room has an en suite bathroom and tea and coffee making facilities. Despite being opposite a very large car park, there was very little noise at all so we got an excellent night's sleep. We also parked for free just around the corner. Would absolutely stay here again as it's so close to the town centre and high street. Ian & Emma.

There's nothing negative to say. If I had to find fault, I'm used to a much bigger duvet but it wasn't a problem at all.

Railway Cottage was exactly as we expected it to be, so central and quiet at the same time, and absolutely ideal for our needs as a family of four for two nights. We hardly spent any time in the room as we were out and about enjoying what Swanage and the surrounds had to offer. However, we did watch a movie after an early supper on the seafront the one night. It was great value for money, especially the £1/day parking lot right opposite, and was a perfect place to lay our heads at the end of a busy day. We met Tom, who was very friendly and welcoming, and we always enjoy supporting local people so it gets a 10/10 from us. Thank you for a wonderful Easter weekend.

Not enough milk for tea, a small personal carton in the fridge would have been nice, and some of the pillows were lumpy (they could probably be replaced) but, with a choice of two each, it really wasn't a problem. Thanks again.

Communication was done before the trip so you knew how to check in and check out and all the information needed was there before the visit. Facilities were plentiful and was a really good standard. They provided refreshments and washing facilities so there was no need to use my own. 5-10 minute walk to the beach and to the town so it made it easy to walk around.

The only thing that can't be helped because it's on the main road is parking so I had to find a nearby road to carry my back to and from the place.

The room was very fresh and clean, maybe recently decorated, everything was well thought out, we could come and go, no fuss, and extra tea/coffe/milk, toilet roll and bin bags just outside the room. It’s great that the room had a fridge, the shower was good, radiator could be adjusted to preference. Wi-Fi password is provided in the room. It is room only but in swanage there are lots of places to buy food within easy walking distance.

Nothing was bad about the place, but if there was a microwave it would’ve been even better!

Lovely house in a great location! We were only here for one night as we were in town for the Polar Express experience. Close to the seafront. Clean. Bed was very comfortable. Plenty of tea, coffee, milk etc. Great communication with hosts.

Our room was cold, despite us having the radiator on. However we understand it's a big house and we slept fine as the duvet was thick. Water pressure in one of the rooms was a little low.

Railway Cottage is a delightful , peaceful spot , very handy for the town , station , beach , massive car park in front of property , rooms are delightfully and simply furnished , tea and coffee making facilities are provided , spotlessly clean ..and when I stayed rooms were warm !...its superb if you can walk easily in to town to find a excellent choice of breakfast venues , and if your activity requires a early start just perfect , I would thoroughly recommend this establishment,

The railway cottage was a fantastic location. Easy reach to the beach and town itself. Need larger bath towels . No hairdryer in room . Didn't see hosts at all during our stay . Lovely and clean . Tea and coffee facilities were good . Lovely place to stay . Off street parking . Large carpark opposite railway cottage .

As stated above . Needs proper bath towels and hairdryers in rooms . Apart from that it is a very nice place to stay .

The owners were very nice ,friendly, and very helpful. The only time the owner came into our room was to change the bed streets, but we were asked first if we wanted the sheets changing. We absolutely loved the room. we were able to sit and look out of the window,we were able to come and go as we pleased. It was only about a 10-15 minute walk to the beach,there is plenty to do while staying.we really enjoyed our stay, and we would definitely stay again. The owners were very welcoming, and the room was spotless

Nice room on the first floor of a semi with a pull down table I could work at, a small fridge and a kettle, plus tea and instant coffee supplies. Faced the back of the house so no problem with traffic noise. Comfortable bed, decent shower, internet was fine. The house located opposite the main beach car park which is fairly pricey but in early June had space; it was possible to park in the streets behind the house. Easy 15 min walk to centre of town, the town beach, and restaurants.

Double yellow on Victoria Ave and quite a lot of traffic, so hard to unload from car on arrival and reload on departure. Swanage in early June seems to have almost nowhere open for a meal after 9pm - Indian, Chinese, takeaways only I think. The nearest shop for breakfast supplies is a Londis at least 1/2 mile back along the road at a garage.

Had all the facilities I needed. Compact bathroom almost hidden away behind double doors. Tea and coffee plus cloths etc to wash up cups. TV was ok. Nice and quiet. Easy parking in local road. Comfortable bed and good lighting.

Would have liked a biscuit with the tea/coffee facilities. Didn't meet the owners at any point. The keysafe was a bit of a pain to get open, but that was because everything was wet in the rain.
