Fantastic waiting staff; buffet breakfast superb; Lots of available free parking (but check-in parking bit of a lottery). Just a short drive into Tewkesbury itself. Beautiful views from split level dining room.

Lunch and evening dining menu somewhat limited; and was virtually the same for both. Check-in parking bit of a lottery. If you choose to stay in the more modern complex - as opposed to the 'historic' rooms, (we stayed in one of the 'Touch of Class' rooms), be prepared for a long walk to access the dining/lounge area. It's a bit shorter going around the exterior of the building. But not if it's raining! In the same context, there are, for some rooms, 18 stairs to negotiate along several corridors. Not so convenient with suitcases or hand luggage to carry. There are no lifts in the modern complex.

The hotel is located on a golf course with the most amazing views, the facilities are exceptional and the staff very friendly and helpful. It's very easy to access local attractions and we really enjoyed our stay. Breakfast and dinner were enjoyable.

Breakfast is self service, personally I would have preferred breakfast to be prepared and served to order. We stayed for a long weekend, Friday to Monday and the menu wasn't varied at all. Unfortunately the restaurant didn't provide daily specials which was disappointing and meant that if staying for 3 or more days menu choices became very limited.

Breakfast was very good with a large variety of food. The restaurant evening food also very good and could order from bar if desired. The room was pleasant. Staff were friendly and request for extra duvets was met promptly. The hotel is in beautiful surroundings with wide panoramic view towards the town and to the Malvern hills. The pool was pleasant and a good size; also enjoyed the steam room and hot tub. Tewkesbury is a lovely little town, with interesting Abbey; also easy to get to Cotswold villages and to Malvern.

The single bed was not the most comfortable for me as rather soft when I prefer firm, but I mostly slept okay.

We are a family of 4 and a dog and the hotel was perfect for us all. Golf for the husband and son, which I was told was a fabulous course, and gym, and swimming pool, hot tub for me and my daughter. Our dog is used to walking round the course (on a lead) so spent the morning with the boys. Dinner was lovely in the piano room with the dog, and the hotel very dog friendly. Room was a good size, the dog bed was very much appreciated and the doors leading straight outside was perfect for our dog.

Dogs receive free breakfast, but not dinners if your rate doesn't include dinner. Dogs dinner is £9 which we thought expensive (and not advertised on the menu) as he was given a small bowl of mainly broccoli, potatoes and some chicken.

There was a good range of food for breakfast although for some reason the bowls are placed where no-one can see them and while there are several staff in the area they were never around to offer a top-up of tea or coffee. Dinner was expensive but very good. The swimming pool and jacuzzi areas were excellent and the short golf course was good.

It was a shame that the several staff we asked about a TV in a bar area where our group of 12 people could watch the England football match told us that there were no TVs in the public areas - except in rooms already booked by golf club groups. Staff also told us repeatedly that the sports bar would be closed and in the event it wasn't. Seems like bad communication and late decision-making on this one. A member of reception staff booked us a return taxi for dinner in Tewksbury one night. The taxi company was Avonside and it didn't show up for the return journey. The restaurant helpfully gave us the tax company's telephone number but no-one answered. The hotel main line also said that no-one was available to take our call. So we were stuck in Tewksbury with no means to get home.

Breakfast was super, dinner was fabulous -- the team looked after us, we are largely veggie and they went above and beyond to find us food. They took care of us every night, the staff were lovely, and could not do enough. The food was brilliant, so well prepared --- never a bad meal. The dining room has the most incredible views of the golf course -- a real treat.

We were using the pool alot and we had to ask for robes, but the team were super helpful and provided some. Other than that, really not much, the place was a delight.

The Room, Breakfast, Thoughtfulness for pets coming into the hotel, Attentive staff, Golf, The Massage, (would have been nice if more slots were available / a second therapist who could offer a massage for my partner too). Decor (great!) The Pool (nicely decorated and good facilities). (Designer's TIP: if they spray the outside sauna grey wood preservative, it will keep the wood in better condition and blend in visually better). As it is, it's a bit of an eye sore, which is a shame when all else is so nice. Loved our stay - would book again!

Nothing springs to mind at all - it was all great!! (Just the tip above) x

The food was excellent & not too expensive, especially considering how much one pays to eat out. We had a double-booked spa appointment they couldn't reschedule, but we were there over Mothering Sunday, so this was not unsurprising. We did use the pool, the sauna & hot tub - the sauna was my favourite, but I spend a lot of time in saunas, so I recognise a good one when I'm away from my usual health club. Curiously, the rooms & reception didn't provide the usual leaflets or information about local attractions, but with access to the internet, we did find the local steam railway line that proved an excellent attraction to enjoy for several hours on a rainy day. We knew it was in the area as we had seen the smoke plume the day before, which was unmistakable evidence of its existence, so we then searched online to find out where we could catch it. The hotel really needs to advertise local attractions, especially the steam railway! I also drive a plug-in hybrid, so having an overnight charging facility was great for lowering driving costs. However, they could do with more than just three 7kW bays, as they were proving popular with others, too. I had to keep checking on them so I could move my car when one became available. If reception had CCTV on these spots, they could alert you with a call or SMS text when one became available; I'd happily pay for that service! Also of note was the excellent ensuite shower strength & warmth - I do like a long shower, so this was most reinvigorating, too. Overall, it was a great weekend's escape & a very restful experience.

Lack of local attractions information in the rooms or at reception.

Very comfortable rooms, thoughtful touches like hot water bottles and throws! Very much enjoyed the leisure facilities.

Disappointed that we were not able to have our booked treatments due to staff sickness, but happy with the way the duty manager compensated with the situation - she was extremely pleasant. Some restaurant staff slow and forgetful with orders, eg one of us received breakfast only after 3 reminders and the rest of us had finished eating, also had to ask for breakfast drinks, perhaps a little more training would be helpful.

Breakfast just delicious, so many choices to choose from and beautifully laid out. Dinner was just as delicious and it was perfectly leisurely. Bar staff were friendly and happy to chat Room was lovely with a perfect view. Had single beds and it was a challenge with duvets... my preference would like large duvets .... but hey it was a single bed, I am just not used to them. But comfy none the less. Pool , Jacuzzi and steam room was also a great experience, very relaxing

Disappointed not to be able to have treatments as there was only one person and needed to book quite a head of time. It really was one of the reasons to choose Tewksbury.
