The room decoration and installation were really nice and conform to the pictures. Public transportation is close to the hotel and the Skydesk is literally on the other side of the street. Breakfast option at the cafe is quite convenient but nothing fancy.

Reception personnel was not according to the hotel rating, I arrived before the check-in hour and the receptionist informed me that my room was not ready and tell me to wait that she will informed me when it's ready (no issue with that it's normal). But I was in front of her waiting in the lobby and she never come back until after I noticed that all guest arriving where getting their card and waiting for more than 45min I asked for my card....

High quality, well designed boutique style hotel with careful attention to detail. The room was dead silent with no neighboring rooms filtering in. Interior decor of the room was wonderful (art deco style); nice floors, quality furniture (cabinetry, sofa, chairs, table, doors), great lighting, heavy drapes, new-looking wallpaper; everything seemed quite luxurious for the price tag. Big television if you care about these things. We particularly enjoyed the shower and the toiletry provided. A 15 minute walk from a lot of great restaurants. For the aesthetically inclined, this is a great choice. We're local and came to celebrate a special birthday and were not disappointed.

Check in was somewhat disappointing; after waiting for 10-15 minutes (you could've put another person at the desk during rush hour.......), we had to wait another 10 because we asked for a non-down pillow, which in itself took some time to communicate. Not the fault of the staff imo, who were generally fine, but rather their bosses who probably overwork them. Wasn't a great start at all. Breakfast is just fine. Views are.... judge for yourself (picture attached. we stayed in a King Room with Landmark View).

The hotel is in a great location - literally opposite the Willis (Sears if you’re local!) Tower, a couple of blocks from the train station, a brief stroll from the riverwalk and right in the heart of the financial district (many of the on-foot architectural tours start in this part of town). The rooms in the hotel are clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated, while the staff were all really friendly and helpful.

As with any city centre hotel it can get a little noisy, even on the higher floors, particularly in this case due to Quincy Station being just down the road (my room was overlooking Jackson, the rooms overlooking Franklin may be a little quieter!). There also isn’t really a room service to speak of (though the restaurant on the ground floor was generally quiet and there was no problem getting a table).

The room was spacious and clean. I loved the wallpaper and colour palette within the room I booked. It had everything I needed from a mini fridge drawer, a clean and large bathroom (the rain shower head was a great bonus), a comfortable bed and decent size desk. The hotel was also located near a metro station which made travelling to various places easier. It took around 15 minutes to commute to the major downtown spots. Initially, the front desk asked me to pay for my stay which I remember already paying for before my stay. However, after I have shown them the receipt, the staff was really apologetic and was able to rectify the charges quickly on my credit card which was appreciated.

The views in our corner room were breathtaking. The decor, bathroom, bed and all facilities were of exceptional quality and good taste. The bed was very comfortable. We had drink and a light meal at the bar which was very perfectly prepared, in fact it might have been one of the best pieces of steak I have ever had.

If we had to find something to fault it could only be that we were confused by the light switches. When someone in bed swithed off a bed side light the person in the shower was left in the dark. I suppose a better understanding of the order to switch them on in may have helped.

Friend and I were in the city for a concert and missed the last outgoing train at Ogilvie. With 20% battery, I pulled up several hotels and saw “Hilton” and booked immediately knowing that after the bad night we’d run into being down on our luck that we would be safe and taken care of at the hotel.

The TV in our room wouldn’t work and asked for a source to be input/changed but there was no option on the remote or physically on the tv itself, should have called front desk but it was almost 2am by the time we got settled and didn’t want to figure out the remote. More of a “me” problem but still frustrating.

The hotel decor is beautiful, both in the lobby and in the rooms. The room I had, a deluxe king with a view, was much nicer than I had expected for the price — I ended up in a corner room on the 10th floor with views of the Willis Tower and other buildings downtown. The room was very clean and the shower had good water pressure, a nice rain-style shower head, and had a door so water didn’t run all over the floor as in some hotels.

The hotel room’s lights seem to be somewhat motion-activated, even the bedside lights, with no warning — so several times when I was reading in bed the lights went out and then came back on later. Also, there were lots of light switches that seemed to affect different parts of the room than where they were located, with no labels as to what they were. A light switch by the bed turns off the power to the outlet there (that was the one thint that was noted in a sign by the outlet), so turning off the bedside lamp means you can’t plug something in to charge on the bedside table overnight. None of this was a major problem but it was confusing and I think some labels about the switch functions and motion sensor lighting would be helpful.

We enjoyed he location with regards to the proximity to the following: - Train Station - Millennium Park - Food / Restaurants All of this made it very accommodating

There are some things that could be done a little better please see the below improvements. - We were down to a single elevator the whole weekend - Adding complimentary breakfast - Knowing a little more about hotel amenities (Bikes ...) - Opening the roof to for social activities

Very stylish hotel - I loved the cool and comfy chairs and sofas in the room and public spaces. The room was cleverly laid out to be compact but still felt luxurious. I also liked the Nespresso machine and the refillable water instead of having water bottles. The hotel is in a great location for the el and Amtrak which is exactly what we wanted.

Breakfast and dining options were not very clear - I would have liked to have had access to menus in the room.

The staff was very friendly, especially a gentleman named (Paul) who tended bar. He was very helpful and I would like for him to be recognized for his help when we needed it. Also, the room was very clean and modern. I'm taking a trip back to Chicago in March 2024 and plan to book again.

That someone forgot to tell us how to make the elevator work. It was Halloween and it spooked us when it suddenly took off and went to the 12th floor and back to the first. Someone finally got on and showed us how to use our room key!! We had a good laugh once we figured it out!
