18 hours ago Picking up our granddaughter from the University of Pittsburgh stayed at Holiday Express. Very clean room as well as the general areas. Breakfast was nice. Many items to pick from. The kitchen staff was friendly and very engaging. Making sure we were all happy. The pool and gym were top-notch. The hotel sits in the middle to anywhere you would like to go if you have a car.

. My only complaints were, when asking recommendations for places to go and see the young man behind the counter, told us the Mall. Sorry, but I can go to malls in my neck of the woods. And the room staff did not refill our coffee and cups . Yet we were pleasantly surprised our room was serviced considering since Covid room servicing had come to a near halt.

Free breakfast was great and there was a great selection. Room was very large and comfortable. Most staff were very accommodating and helpful.

Lack of shuttle or convenient way to get into downtown Pittsburgh. When we first arrived, there was no front desk staff for nearly 10 mins. There was 1 staff member walking around and when asked if they knew about the front desk, they just said that it wasn't there job. When the front desk staff member finally came back from outside he didnt mention anything or apologies for the wait and was not very friendly or personable. Gave us a bad first impression of hotel.

I traveled and stayed for the Drake Concert. The location was the closest to the Arena and A nice hotel for a reasonable price. It was clean, comfortable and the staff was exceptional and went above and beyond for their Guests. I had an issue with the heat in my room and with printing my boarding passes for my flight home. Both issues were handled quickly and resolved. I would recommend staying at this hotel if you ever visit the area or ever attend an event at the arena.

I am a Breakfast person. Most complimentary Breakfasts are pretty basic, but good for complimentary. I felt the breakfast was good, but their could have been more choices. Depending on what you wanted, there weren't many options.

Clean, modern facility in a convenient location. Room was clean, comfortable, and well appointed. Indoor swimming pool was large and clean with plenty of seating, fresh towels, and water at just the right temperature. Fitness room was clean, well equipped, and not crowded. The first morning, breakfast was good, with hot eggs, sausage, pancakes, oatmeal with toppings, three types of cereal, baked goods, and hot coffee with a pitcher of half-and-half.

The second morning, breakfast was lacking, apparently due to a missed delivery of food after being wiped out the previous day as the hotel was full of guests in town for the baseball game, eclipse, etc. As the manager, I would have sent someone to a local grocery for enough supplies to ensure expectations of paying guests were met.

The location of the hotel to everything we were doing in the area It was perfect.

When we checked in the gentleman who was doing it tried to help us out I guess. He made us waste about 45 minutes looking for another room to accommodate us. We wound up going with my original room. I weighed all my options prior to booking the room. His suggestions weren't very helpful. I think he was trying to be helpful! It wound up being a huge waste of time I have to traveling for a very long time. In my opinion I think he should have offered a late checkout to compensate for the 45-minute delay. Telling us that we could possibly clock out around 12:00 or 1:00 would have felt like he understood how much of a waste of time his help was.

There was a lot of options for breakfast & all the food was served hot. The location of the hotel was great due to having restaurants near by & stores to shop at very close. The pool was clean & there was always towels accessible.

The room had some things from other hotel guests like the breakfast silverware & a dirty oven mit. Everything else was clean though. The owners spoke very little English so it made communication a little harder, however they did try & were nice. Each night we had to get new hotel room keys because ours kept getting deactivated for some odd reason. The floor we were on also was a little noisy past the quiet hour time but we made do.

The place was amazing. Ice maker works, pool works, staff was plentiful,,breakfast was amazing! This place hits all the right notes. I would stay here again!

The location is great if you drive, but if you walked, I don't believe it's accessible for everyone. The giant eagle is right down the block, but a lot of abandoned lots along the way. I wonder if the place is up and coming. Then Holiday Inn has great foresight because the location would be amazing if more development occurred.

Very friendly staff, hotel one of the cleanest if been too in years and I’ve travelled many cities and states. Bed comfortable room clean pillows plentiful and so so soft!!!! I can’t complain about anything. Oh pool open late that’s a huge plus. Thanks

It’s really not a didn’t like, it’s more of a suggestion. So for breakfast there should be larger chauffeur pans, that a busy place for breakfast and hard for the morning cook to keep up with the crowd of people.

Loved location, front desk staff minus one, was so nice. Lobby was beautifully decorated and breakfast was good. Size of room was good too.

The room was so outdated. Couch is not comfortable to sit on. Stained bench in room. Dirty carpet and shower leaked all of the way into the carpeting ! The curtain can not contain the water. Water everywhere. Front desks solution, as thye already knew what I was talking about, was to lay a bunch of towels on the floor first to soak up the water. Handed us a lot of them! View stunk, but that was not a priority for me.

The front desk staff were great and helpful! We had checked out for the day and were still nearby when we realized we forgot something. Called in and the lady at the front desk had our room checked and found our item and called me back in minutes!

There were 2 or 3 bus loads of kids that stayed there at the time we were there so there was a long line for breakfast and the food ran out quickly and there wasn't any place to sit with the food. Not their fault, who knew they could accommodate that many people at once.
