The cottage was very nice we had a view overlooking the back patio, there was a stream of water to fish and enjoy sitting by the campfire or grilling on the grill. We had a hot tub in our room which was very relaxing.

We loved it all. Very nice kitchen with stove and refrigerator, kitchen has silverware and pots and pans and coffee pot and even wine glasses. We loved the area even has a swimming pool for you to relax in.

The room was beautiful and felt very spacious with the high ceiling. I appreciated the ramp instead of stairs to get to our floor…made lugging suitcases so much easier. Also, being able to open our windows at night (because there were screens) and listen to the sound of the river below us was so peaceful and lulled us to sleep. Since we were on the third floor we had no fear of bears trying to get in our room thru the balcony screens. We were able to easily walk to Gatlinburg from the hotel but didn’t hear the hustle and bustle while trying to sleep which was a plus. Coming back to the pool and hot tub after a day in the mountains or in town was a definite plus as well, you didn’t feel like you were on display like so many of the other pools in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge because this one is tucked in the back instead of roadside.

The only thing that could’ve made it better was having somewhere outside to dispose of our trash. We didn’t need maid service though we could’ve requested it, just somewhere to take our own trash out of the room would’ve been nice.

everything here is wonderful we've stayed here before and we will be staying here again the staff is very helpful and friendly the rooms are clean and the property is not only conviently located but also very well equipped for the family that doesn't want to have to take the kids through the hustle and bustle of downtown as they have a full family center pool and hot tub as well as fire pits and grills for outdoor cooking and s'mores with the kids and they're right along the creek

the chairs on the balcony were not very comfortable the pillows on the beds weren't great and they were kinda small

Amazing location. Fabulous launch pad for hiking in the smokies. It was awesome to have a kitchen, hot tub, and laundry facilities. The staff was very responsive. It was a great value for the money and exactly what we needed. We would stay again in a heartbeat.

Despite being clean in every other way, our room initially had a thin layer of sawdust, splinters, and even four screws on the floor. However they cleaned it all up when we called housekeeping. There was also dried wood glue in wierd places. It seems like they did some renovations in a rather slapdash way, but hey: that means they did renovations. This isn’t a super fancy place but it has everything we actually needed/wanted.

We booked one of the queen bed rooms, it ended up being 502A, we love staying in the suites. They are roomy, offer tons of natural light (with plenty of blinds to cover them), and the balcony was a decent size and very spacious! We come here a couple times a year and we ALWAYS chose Carr's to stay at. We love being close to everything, but far enough out you also feel like you are in nature. We have had plenty of chances to see the bears. The staff are always super friendly, parking is easy, and the rooms are ALWAYS clean. Our favorite part is all of the balconies overlook the creek and so you can sit and watch the creek, or even just open the backdoors and listen to the creek run.

That we couldn't stay longer! The toilet did have a very weird Panda hidden in bamboo sticker on the inside of the toilet seat lid... Our Tv in the room would not work, we called the office they said they would come look at it while we were out on the strip, came back and the tv was still not working, so that was bummer since we sleep with the tv on, but we dont spend a lot of time in the room otherwise, so it doesn't affect my opinion on the room.

The location was great! We walked to downtown Gatlinburg several days/nights without having to pay for parking! The room was very clean! We had a beautiful view of the river off of our balcony! We sit on our balcony relaxing and listening to the river flow with the beautiful lights above it shining on it! They supplied fire wood for the fire pits in the back by the river with seating! It was lite up with lightning. We saw 7 or 8 Black Bears from our Balcony! It was overall Amazing! This will be our Home Away From Home in Gatlinburg from now on! The pricing was very affordable and fair! The staff were all amazing people!

The only thing was it could use some updating but if that never happens we will still call it our home away from home!

Location is within a 10 minute drive to Gatlinburg Main St. Close to many restaurants within walking distance. Every member of the staff, and we talked with 6 different members, all were friendly and helpful with giving us any directions we needed. we stayed in a cottage that had a stream in the back where we could enjoy it when sitting on the deck. Beds felt like they were new, firm and clean. The entire cottage was very clean. Would definitely stay there again.

We had an end cottage that is close to the main road. Traffic was a little loud around mid morning and early evening but at nighttime it got pretty quiet.

Great location, was easy to find. Very relaxing and peaceful. Sitting on the shaded balcony every day view of the trees and wildlife, listening to the rushing of water was exactly what we needed. A lot of different wildlife like birds, squirrels, raccoons, bears, etc... Short walk to downtown Gatlinburg. The room was cozy. There are a lot of places to eat close by within walking distance, as well. Definitely be back!

The shower is on the short side, so if someone was 6ft, they wouldn't be able to use it. But for us, we didn't have an issue at all it was the perfect size for us. When the weather gets cooler, a little 2-person table inside the room would be beneficial.

Loved the setting, right beside a river. The bed was super comfortable. The shower had been updated and was very nice. Liked that it had a refrigerator and a microwave, we used both. Had a patio outside our room overlooking the river with a table and two bouncing chairs. We sat here often. In fact, we were sitting there when a black bear paid a visit. It was a really cool (also a bit nerve-wracking) sight to see. Terry and Larry were awesome, very gracious hosts. We enjoyed chatting with them. Overall, it's a pretty good value for the price.

Unfortunately, the room I chose online was not the room I received, so that was a bit disappointing. The facility could use some updating/renovating. It is very rustic, antiquated, and a bit run down. The room we stayed in needs a good deep cleaning. There were cobwebs along the ceiling and a bobypin (not mine) on the bathroom floor. Also, water stains on the floor molding around the refrigerator should be replaced or at least painted.

The cottage was comfortable, clean and in a quiet area. It was roomy and had plenty of seating, a comfortable bed and a Jacuzzi tub. I loved the light blocking blinds with pictures of bears and Gatlinburg! It was easy to exchange towels and wash clothes when needed and although we didn't use them, a pool and laundry area was available.

There were minor repairs that would enhance the cottage; the screen door wouldn't stay shut without locking it and there were some lightbulbs that needed changing. Very minor things that could be easily fixed. Also, the chickens from the neighbor's house pooped on my car every night, but I can't blame the company for that.
