The staff were exceptionally polite and helpful. They even brought out a cake for my lovely wife's birthday. We booked a room with an internal window, which was very comfortable, quiet, clean and cool. Also, the hotel location is right in the middle of things and so easy to walk about. The staff arranged our transfers from and to the airport, which went without a hitch.

The air conditioning was a little noisy.

The bed was enormous and the pillows were the right kind of sturdy but fluffy. The water pressure was good and toilet paper could be flushed. The towels smelled amazing. We had a room with an "internal window, just for fresh air", which just meant that we had a room at the back of the building, but the view was still interesting. Loved the location too, just at the end of road is the lake. The staff was extremely professional and we were able to leave our luggage after checking out so we could explore the city some more.

The smell of the complementary shower gel and shampoo was not so nice so bring your own, the handsoap on the other hand was really nice.

The hotel is located in a quieter back alley right in the old quarter, which is nice. Our hotel room wasn’t huge but imho very comfortable, especially the beds. The rotating breakfast made every morning enjoyable. However, the most notable thing in this hotel is Jennie Ngo. I have never experienced such a heartwarming welcome nor such a caring attitude to make our stay the best stay possible <3!!

There was some construction work done in the hotel next door. Our room was roughly facing that side so we were able to hear the typical noises like drilling, hammering and whatnot. it wasn’t terrible but if you’re a light sleeper i could see it being annoying. then again it’s nothing that can be changed so it’s more of a note to others instead of real criticism :).

We loved the location. Situated in the heart of the city, but a quiet(er) small street. We were able to walk to just about everything we did during our 5 night stay. The breakfast was the best we’ve had through our two week trip of Vietnam. Having an espresso machine at breakfast is definitely a treat and way better than the instant coffee that seems to be the norm everywhere else.

The only thing we found tricky was the bathtub/shower situation. A huge step up and over is required to get in and out of the tub/shower. We are both relatively young and tall and found ourselves off balance and slipping to get in and out of it. The only thing around to hang onto is the mounted towel rack nearby. Some installed hand holds or rails would probably be a good idea here.

The staff are all very welcoming and attend to the guests very well. The breakfast selection is very good with may different choices. The room was as described, I thought it was quite large for a city (deluxe double). The bathroom was very nice. The roof top bar is very enjoyable to relax and have a drink. The hotel is located almost on the lake! It is perfect for exploring the old quarter.

The water pressure in the shower, at all times of the day I found it to be very weak, also the temperature of the water could change to very hot, this would be concerning if you had a child.

My 80 year old mother and I really enjoyed our stay in an Executive Room with City View-room 808. The variety of food for breakfast was very good and I liked they had a western coffee machine that could make something like a cappuccino as well as Vietnamese coffee. I also liked that the restaurant was on the ground floor and not underground like most hotels in Ha Noi. Kevin and Judy at reception were very welcoming and friendly and really helpful. Kevin's English is very good and he understood my request to find Do paper and googled an address for me to purchase it and showed me on the maps they have for guests where it was. Judy was helpful when we had a package coming from our previous hotel in Hoi An where we had left some items behind and paid for the postage when we were absent as we left her money to do so. It all went very smoothly. I thought it very good that the in-room restaurant checked in on why I had left some of my hamburger behind. I hadn't eaten the Beef Pattie but I had eaten something bad in the street and in the in-house meals were large and I couldn't manage it all. They wanted to improve anything if they needed to as far an in-room food service.

I have noticed all the 4 star hotel beds we have stayed in Vietnam to be firm and here was no exception. The beds are very firm but a nice wide size for a "single" bed. My bed did not have a topper but our second bed did so they immediately put one on for me but I still found it a bit hard. However I could have asked for more padding I'm sure as they were very obliging.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Hanoi Pearl! Our experience right from check in to check out was great. The staff were all so helpful and friendly. The bed and pillows are excellent quality, which can be hard to find. The air con worked great and the rooms are decorated nicely. The location was really good. We found a great coffee shop, wonderful pho and an amazing spa all on our street. The hotel is also walking distance to all the busier streets of the Old quarter and the lake but a little quieter so you are right near the hustle and bustle but can get some peace and quiet too.

Nothing! It was wonderful.

The sixty room hotel is located in the old sector providing easy access for those who wish to explore on foot or you can choose a cyclo. There are many restaurants and other shops available and the Water Puppets Theatre is within walking distance. The rooms are very comfortable, clean and quiet. A breakfast with good choices is provided and we also enjoyed dinner on two occasions From the moment you enter the hotel the friendly and helpful staff at all levels will strive to make your stay enjoyable .Special mention must be given to front of house managers Dominic and Jimmy who provided us with exception help and service. We will be returning for two nights before leaving Vietnam. A great place to stay.

Everything was great

Location was excellent. Quiet street but with plenty of food options and near lots of things to see. Staff were very helpful. we were travelling with a baby and they were able to move housekeeping around the baby’s nap time. They also helped us move rooms when then construction next door was stopping the baby from napping during the day.

the construction next door was pretty loud during the day - not an issue for most people but we were spending lots of time there while our baby was napping. their own restaurant menu was pretty limited. they offered some vegetarian options but it required advanced ordering - it ended up being easier to get vegetarian food from the restaurant across the road when we were feeing lazy.

Frankly, we loved everything about the Hanoi Pearl Hotel!!! The location was perfect; we walked just a short 5-10 minute walk/distance to most of the restaurants, bars, and locations we visited, and the staff was always around to greet us at the door and to ask us how they could be helpful. The room itself was very spacious (we had a triple bed room), comfortable, and meticulously cleaned everyday. The massages in the in-hotel spa were perfect after long days in the city. The staff helped us accomodate a late check-out, since our flight was at late night. We'll definitely come back for our next trip to Hanoi! :)

Everything was great!!
