Peaceful location on the outskirts of Bruge with a beautiful room and accompanying owner. We were in room 1 overlooking the street with a lovely big bedroom and amazing bathroom. A beautiful breakfast was laid out for us each morning and we were encouraged to treat the property like our home. Michelle also allowed us to store our cases on check out day, allowing us time to do some last minute chocolate shopping without all of our bags in tow.

The bed was to soft for our liking ( we have an orthopaedic mattress at home) and it was a little bit of a trek from the station, but a beautiful walk nonetheless

Beautiful, clean rooms with wonderful host. We greatly appreciated being able to drop off our luggage early (and even more appreciated that the hosts had moved our luggage up to our rooms by the time we returned!) They provided bottled water in each room and a very nice continental breakfast each day. Not having ever been to Bruges, we felt very safe and in the location. Would definitely recommend!

Although we were told there was a possibility of free street parking across a bridge a few blocks away, that did not seem like the best choice for us (since we were driving a rental car) and the closest public parking garage was a little farther than anticipated. Still, in the long run, it wasn't too inconvenient. AWould probably not be a good choice for those with physical difficulties as the guest rooms are not on the ground floor. They are accessed by a steep, thin stairway. (That's why we were especially glad the hosts brought our luggage up to our rooms!)

The property is located about a 10-15 min walk from the center of old town. The closest bus stop is only 3 min away which takes you to the train station, so overall, it is well located. The B&B is in a private home but separate from the family quarters. Our 3rd floor room is beautifully furnished and overlooks a huge lovely garden. Both the bedroom and bathroom were spacious and spotless. Wi-fi was fast. Bed and linens VERY comfortable. Breakfast was continental (bread, cheese, fruit); the table was beautifully set. If you're looking for a romantic place to stay in Bruges at a very affordable price, this is it!

Nothing to dislike

We had a wonderful stay at B&B Marie-J of Bruges - it is in a quiet and beautiful location and our room had a green/tree-lined view. It was such a calming place to stay. The B&B is great for exploring Bruges and there are lots of local delicious restaurants nearby. We really loved the breakfast, it was continental and set up for us each morning with fresh coffee/orange juice/bread/pastries etc. We also really liked the mini seating space in our room to have coffee/tea (with the many chocolate truffles we were buying in the day!) - a perfect stay for us.

When we arrived in bruges we were greeted with a text message from Michelle with helpful information about parking and how to easily find the property. Upon arrival we met our lovely warm and kind host who welcomed us and showed us to what would be a room for the weekend. It was simply stunning! The garden view was beautiful and the room was so well presented. Tv and coffee and facilities were there to use and a table and chairs out in front of the large window to look out onto the garden. The bathroom had plenty of room with double sinks and mirrors which are perfect for couples staying, and the shiwer/bath also top notch! The only problem with the bed was that I unfortunately had to get out of it! The memory foam mattress was heaven. We were no more than 10/15 minutes walk to the centre of bruges and the walks on the way were beautifully picturesque which made the stroll even more enjoyable. Also our days started off with an incredible continental breakfast from Michelle which included Cereal, fresh bread, pastries ham and cheese with plenty of juice, tea and coffee. All in all I cannot recommend Marie-j of bruges highly enough it was exceptional from start to finish and we can't wait to visit again.

We had a wonderful stay in Bruges. Incredibly nice B&B, nice host and a fantastic breakfast. The room is large, stylishly decorated and very clean. The beds are comfortable and the room has all the amenities you could want. The location is perfect, everything is within walking distance. Breakfast was rich and nicely arranged. It is hard to put into words how good the accommodation really is. Can‘t praise it enough! When visiting Bruges, there can be no better place to stay. Everything was perfect. We will definitely go back. Thank you very much for the hospitality.

We had room number three on the top floor and what we loved most about the room was the big triangular window with a relaxing view onto the garden. We really enjoyed the sitting area just in front of this window in the evenings. We were quite happy with the breakfast, and especially with the flexibility to eat it whenever we wished, even in the late morning. We also appreciated the possibility to use an iron during our stay. The location was excellent - in a quiet residential neighbourhood but not far from the centre.

We liked everything - the only inconvenience was that at first we did not understand how to open and close the drain in the bathroom sink. Hint: You have to push down on the plug to make it open.

What a wonderful B & B this was. The room was so much bigger than we expected & the bathroom was amazing (nice to have a tub as well as a shower). It was a nice touch having the water bottles waiting in our room. It was such a nice, quite area. We really enjoyed the breakfast too.

Would have been nice to be a little closer to the centre but we wouldn't have had a place this big & the walk was not too long (a nice way to see more of the city too).

Nice and very comfortable and clean apartment room. Extraordinary friendly hostess. Best recommendation. The breakfast was made with a lot of love and had a very private and warm & welcoming athmosphere. The room is located in a quiet area, nevertheless you can reach everything by walking. The room (we stayed in superior room 3) seems to be very new or newly rennovated, same for bathroom.

Everything was great!

The location was fantastic, very close to some really nice restaurants and bars. We were very close to the wind mills, well worth visiting. The room was big, the bed was really comfortable, we had a nice view over the back garden, the owner was super hospitable and helpful whenever needed. All in all, very happy and pleased with our choice to stay there

we liked everything, no complaints
