Service staff were exceptional. Breakfast team were friendly, attentive and efficient, food was great. The housekeeping personnel did a fantastic job, room was consistently spotless every day. Reception staff were friendly and professional. Location of hotel was good, easy walking to the parliament, museum, downtown and public transport. James Bay grocery stores not too far to buy supplies to self cater.
We had a kitchenette - very clean, but appliances are very old, fridge is noisy. Cooking equipment and utensils were very limited. During our stay of 9 days there were 3 days of a bad sewage smell in the room coming from the kitchen sink. This seemed to coincide with a weekend guest occupation surge.

The studio was really comfortable and newly renovated, the king bed was so comfortable, we had the best sleep, and the breakfast was great with a full buffet (unless you have any food sensitivities). Staff were so friendly and welcoming, we had a great stay.
There was no toothpaste, or any toiletries in the bathroom except for just shampoo and body wash. The breakfast had lots of options (sausages, eggs, fruit, baked goods), but fruit and meat were the only options that were gluten free and dairy free (even eggs had dairy in them), no dairy free milk either, which was not ideal and thereâs no option to opt out from breakfast for a cheaper price since itâs included in the room price, it would be nice to have an option knowing what options are available.

We were originally booked in a Standard King Room with Kitchen and got an upgrade to their newly renovated Studio - Split Level. Good size kitchen with everything we needed. Spacious lounge area. Great that there was tea and coffee available for us to use. King size bed is at the top of the stairs, and it was very comfortable, the stairs were easy to use - not too steep and carpeted for grip, which was really nice. Breakfast was included every day - pretty standard but nicer than we expected. Underground parking was available at an additional cost, but as there is not much all-hours street parking, it was great to have that option. It was a close walk to downtown, and I loved the view of the harbour from our room. would stay again as it was good value for what we got compared to other hotels close by.
Just a note that if you cast to the TV, you may need to manually change the input settings on the TV, as the remote is so basic you can't do it from there. It is honestly the strangest, most basic remote I have ever seen. Like, there isn't even a button for the TV guide. Just something to know :)

The location close to the Inner Harbour was perfect for us as we always love walking everywhere we go. We could easily get to Fisherman's Wharf, Ogden Point, Inner Harbour, and downtown. The beds are incredibly comfortable and it is always appreciated to have a small fridge for snacks and beverages. The complimentary breakfast was excellent, with options for vegetarians (not sure if there were gluten-free options available, but would be nice)
I feel that underground parking should be included and not an additional $15.75/night. I understand all rooms are expensive in downtown Victoria, but when a guest is paying $250+/night, complementary parking seems reasonable.

The property is beautiful. The grounds are well kept and lush with greenery and flowers. The room was great - the beds and linens comfortable and the pillows were the best ( wish I had pillows like that at home). There is only a small plug in room heater and even though it was windy and chilly outside it wasnât needed. The bedding was warm enough for sleeping comfortably. The breakfasts were excellent - always fresh food being brought out and refilled. Scrambled eggs and sausage or ham daily, waffles, croissants, English muffins, toast (and if you need you can ask for gluten free bread and they will bring you some), delicious variety of muffins, fresh fruit - apples and bananas daily, cut melon and oranges, even pears one day. Juices, coffee and tea. The staff is amazing - constantly clearing tables and asking if anything is needed. There were two places to eat - the beautiful sunroom and a more subdued room. If you get to breakfast during the week choose the sunroom (itâs very busy on the weekends so you may have to wait a bit for a sunroom seat but the other room is just as nice. Even the seagulls were friendly - in the morning if they realized your curtains were open they would sit in the outside AC unit and âtalkâ to you. The check in staff was great and very helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay there again.
Just wish there were some drawers for unpacking our suitcase (we were there 6 nights). On the plus side there were enclosed shelves under the TV stand that we used.

Perfect location! Park the car and pretty much walk everywhere. Bed and pillow SO comfortable!! Close to grocery store (2 min drive) (pricey on the island tho - as all islands are) Parking lot is close to building and always a spot. Breakfast was really really good for a buffet! Scrambled eggs bacon sausage croissants cereal toast juices ( good hot coffee and choice of milk and creamer too) fruit yogurt ⌠beautiful spot for the dining room in a conservatory style room with lots of windows overlooking a lovely patio -this is a perfect spot for 2 days in gorgeous Victoria!)
Only thing is the carpet in hallways is a little old - good use an update Cleaning staff did a good job tho

The Breakfast had a good variety to meet the wants of most people. I loved the location of the property! It was literally right across the street from the Clipper Terminal. On the property, there is a brunch Mexican restaurant, a spa with fantastic massages, a bike rental shop, and a Tea House. This is also an 8-10 minute walk to the Empress Hotel and the start of restaurants. In the other direction in an 8-10 minute walk is the Warf, so it is a great area.
The room design and the bathrooms were more dated then I expected. It looked like the hotel rooms were remodeled late 90's /early 00's. I has a very spacious King bed room, but there was a lot of unused space and the walls were fairly bare.

I love the euro-style bunker bed loft. The room is newly renovated, simple but functional, very clean, comfortable. Located on a quiet street, it's bliss returning to relax in peace after a day out. Hotel location is perfect, walkable distance to almost everywhere. Our car just sat in garage the whole time while we enjoyed exploring the neighbourhood on foot. Entrance to hotel in the late evening requires access card. Our stay included daily breakfast buffet so that was awesome. The staffs were all wonderful, especially those in the breakfast room, always smiling and cheerful đ. The housekeeping staffs were nice and helpful. Also thanks to Mr. Emerson for his extra hospitality on day of check out. I will return to stay on my future visit.

The location was perfect. We were on a quieter side street with plenty of shade trees which are important in a heat wave. It was an easy walk to the shops in downtown Victoria. And thatâs coming from a person who uses a cane.
The hotel exceeded my expectations almost everywhere except for the bathroom. Every senior Iâve talked to has said the same thing. The newer comfort height toilets are far more comfortable than the Hobbit Holes. Itâs not as easy as it used to be to stand up safely.

Room was okay, clean enough, had coffee machine as well. Interior was old and nice in the lobby and dining area.
Heating was a bit of a problem with hat blowing aircon. It was duplex means it you try to heat the room to be comfy on first floor then it will be too hot to sleep on second. I was very upset with the breakfast, was expecting more based on reviews. Lineup in the morning was going out of the door to outside garden. Options were poor honestly, standard eggs, bread, jam and sausages. I asked for a trey so I do not need to stand in the lineup few times but was refused. I still took a trey. generally this was not bad bad, but kinda not a good breakfast.
