The description of the room on booking.com is misleading. It was named a coast room, so i expected a room with sea view There was no simple breakfast like a bagel with cheese and a coffee and fresh orange juice. We had to go to the neighbors. There was no simple lunch like fish and chips or salad when you have a pool day and don’t like to go outside. Some tiles in the hot pool were broken. Pool towels are very short and ineffective. We used 4 towels, and so does everybody. Pool showers did not work. One of the elevators was broken.

This hotel is nicely located on the water, next to fisherman's wharf, walking path out back.The bed was very comfortable. We had a king room which was spacious. Staff are eager to help you. Bathroom is nicely amenities and spacious. Large chairs to rest in. This hotel offers free shuttle and gives umbrellas to guests to use during their stay.

The restaurant food was disappointing. Plate size small and service was not so good. I had reservations several months in advance but they still sat the two of us next to a very rowdy 8 person table. We could not even hear each other speak. The manager completely ignored us while he doted on the larger table. It was ridiculous. We were barely noticed and had significant wait for anything from the waitress. I would suggest you dine elsewhere. Rooms are expensively priced so not always affordable.

The hotel location was superb, on the waterfront in a quiet area, near to the Fisherman's Wharf but also within walking distance of downtown. The facilities were first class and the staff were unfailingly charming and helpful. We ate in their Blue Crab restaurant and found the food and presentation to be very good. On the basis of this experience we would definitely stay in this hotel or other Coast hotels again. I believe that they are owned by Japanese management and it shows in their attention to detail and service.

The only thing that we could fault was a lack of towel rails in the bathroom.

We liked everything in the room, the view was beautiful. The location is pretty close to Clipper, although it's not so close to downtown. The swimming pool is pretty big and well maintained. We did not have bathrobes in our room, but after a request at the main desk we were provided with them.

They cleaned our room every day, but it seems it was without vacuuming because we still saw tiny trash pieces and hair on the floor all the days we stayed. The AC can be noisy for some.

Reasonably close to attractions. Blue Crab restaurant was a nice venue.

Very limited availability of a concierge for transportation and planning. One of the two elevators was out of service the entire time. Someone with a small dog was booked next to us on the 9th floor and it barked around 9 & 10 PM. The hot tub typically had small, noisy children (under 7 or 8) that kept it from being a relaxing experience. There were no apparent guidelines re: small children.

I stayed here with my family. It is very clean place. Location is great and staff is amazing. Highly recommend!

room was on the 8th floor with a superb view over the outer harbour area and towards fisherman's warff with the mountains in the background a15min walk to Victoria's inner harbour via a waterside pathway or 20min via the roadway, but the red city tour bus stops right outside this hotel so you can get on and off here. room was very comfortable with a fridge and a microwave, a very small balcony with just enough room for the two chairs. staff were very friendly and helpfull car parking available at hotel for extra cost. would stay here again, huge breafast but not included in price, pay separately.

the car park upper deck was full and the hire vehicle would not fit round a very tight turn to access the lower deck, so if you go to this hotel by car best to have a smaller vehicle just in case you have to park on the lower deck.

The room had some view of the water, which was important given the high cost of the room. We loved the beds, the tea and coffee provided, the fridge, microwave, cleanliness, closet - and even an umbrella, the extra robes (a friend told us we could ask for them), the bathroom was interesting with the super toilet, we have never seen one like that! The main features we were looking for was a pool - the facilities are amazing and the hotter with a view of the water! The only thing with the weight room is there is a machine that requires repair. My kids loved the vending machines and there is water with the lime and orange in the lobby. Having a good restaurant in the hotel was awesome, the service was super! Being right by the water and Fisherman's wharf was so much fun. It was a very special trip for my family, the first one together in 10 years. We had booked a different hotel which was not nearly as nice so we really appreciated the Coast Victoria. The welcome from the black cat at check-in was one of the highlights and the origami cranes in the room were awesome. They have a special significance for us. It would have been nice to have a balcony like my friend had in her room, but at least we could step out a little bit. We really enjoyed our time. Nice location, about an 8 min walk to the downtown 'core'. They offer shuttle services for free. Nice view of the harbour with Juliette balcony. On-site restaurant is good too. Hotel uses texting option to check in and make sure stay is going well. Service was friendly.

Room could have been a little cleaner, some vacuuming was missed and some dust, but nothing significant. Bed was softer and a little lumpier than I like. I would say it's just in need of a refresh. Would not prevent me from staying again though.
