We loved everything about this float a home. The hostess was so nice and was very quick to answer questions. She stays on the top floor but you seldom hear her. The room we had was beautiful (The poppy room), clean, nicely decorated with a huge bathroom. We also had a small balcony that we used often. It was so relaxing sitting out there. The home is located at fishermens wharf so during the day it is busy and you can hear noise, but it didn't bother us. At 9pm the wharf closes so it is very quiet. I thought the hostess would be cooking breakfast for us but she sent us to this absolutely wonderful restaurant (which was included in the stay) named the Imagine Studio Cafe and we had this wonderful breakfast. We talked about this breakfast the remainder of our trip. I would highly recommend staying here. Definitely the highlight of our trip. Thank you so much!!

Absolutely nothing

We really like the idea of a floating home. Surrounded by the beautiful water and colourful homes added a great deal to our stay. The float home is well set up and the beds were decently comfortable. We really enjoyed this place! It’s just so adorably picturesque!

Some people might find the walls quite thin as they cannot be heavy on a floating home. This does make for a bit of noise when people walk upstairs. We didn’t find it too noisy except early in the morning when we were trying to sleep in.

Can’t beat the location. Lots happening here. And the water taxis are a few steps from your door. Restaurants and coffee are right there. Great walk to downtown Victoria.

If you don’t like crowds, then that might be a downside for you. Fisherman’s Wharf draws a lot of people with plenty of restaurants, whale watching boats, water taxis, shops, etc.

Carene is lovely and made us feel very welcome. The float home was a fun experience and glad to have checked it off the bucket list. The orca visit to the bay was an added excitement to our stay! Loved dining at the Fish Store, and catching the Eagle Wing Whale watching tour was easy! Loved it. OH! and the included breakfast nearby was also delicious!

The location is perfect as it is close to downtown but also in a chilled out location at Fisherman’s Wharf. Breakfast was included and served at a nearby cafe and it was exceptional. The suite was very cosy and had everything we needed including tea and coffee, chilled wine glasses and robes.

The location was absolutely fabulous! It was super cute, very clean and the bed was lovely and comfortable. I enjoyed the quiet and slept for 11 hours! The free parking was a huge bonus, as was the very delicious (included in my room rate) breakfast at the cafe across the street. The complimentary coffee and cream was appreciated!

This was the most unique stay I have ever been on! We loved the houseboat and especially the proximity to everything. We were in the Ivy room and it was well equipped with everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast options were great!

Everything was great!

The Poppy room was very spacious and bright and cheery. There were plenty of linens and the fridge and coffee supplies were very handy . Close to public transportation. The water taxi is right outside. The public bus stops right beside the park . Bus #2 and #5 go right downtown and out to Oak Bay. ($5 for a full daypass!) There are plenty of walkways nearby and around the Bay . The owner is very helpful and lives upstairs. She gives you your privacy as the guests and owner share a common entrance, and meets you to go over check-in. She also was kind enough to allow us to drop off our bags early.

Unique. Location, location, location! Quiet. Clean. As advertised & MORE. Carene was MOST responsive to our inquiry, through email, as she was in Mexico at the time of our visit.

Carene’s “Rooms for Let” exceeded our expectations. The Fisherman’s Wharf location is fabulous.
