Good downtown location; walking distance to restaurants and theater. The long history of this location and historical building is interesting. The rooms are comfortable. It was a fun place to stay, along with enjoying the pub that is part of the property.

Customers should be aware that the bedroom was upstairs to the living area, if stairs are an issue; bathroom is downstairs-tricky at night. Parking is off-site either on the street or in a public parkade. Tried to make a reservation directly with the hotel (on-line), but we were unknowingly shuttled onto booking.com where we were charged more than the expected price and terms had changed (e.g. of cancellations); hotel was not aware of this. Did not receive a receipt by email at the end of the stay. Best to book by phoning.

The Swans Hotel totally met my expectations - very central location and tons of space! The apartment was really large and both of the beds were pretty comfortable. It was also nice to have access to kitchen facilities and a table in the room. The best part was how close it was to everything we wanted to see and the bus stops everywhere to make it easy to get from place to place. Also - I really appreciated the fans that were available to cool the place down! It got fairly stuffy even with the windows open.

Sharing a single bathroom between four girls can be rough! Given the size of the apartments I could totally see there being enough space to add an additional bathroom in some suites one day

The location of the hotel is great. The city center is in walking distance. The hotel lays in a beautiful neighborhood with a lot of restaurants. The exterieur of the hotel looks beautiful. The hotel has it's own beer. The room had all necessary amenities and was clean. The room was spacious.

The staff was not really friendly - I would question their social skills. The Hotel has it's own pub downstairs. Thus, it can get quite loud. Especially on weekends, it is really loud. You can hear the noise in the room. I would skip this hotel on weekends.

Great location. We've visited Victoria often, but had never stayed in this area next to Chinatown (usually closer to the Empress Hotel). The room was spacious and, though we didn't make use of it this trip, the kitchen would be a nice bonus if we had been here longer.

No hotel parking, unfortunately. Though there are lots with paid parking nearby, the extra $26 to park overnight was a surprise. We had been told by staff that parking in one of the lots was free between 6pm and 6am, but discovered when we drove there that it was in fact only free between 8pm and 8am. Luckily, we were only here one night. Also, air conditioning would have been nice. It had been an unusually hot May day, but cooled down nicely at night, so we were glad there was a ceiling fan.

The location of the Swan Hotel was excellent. We were able to walk to most of the downtown destinations we wanted to see. The attached brewpub is great and there are a ton of other food and drink options nearby. The room was a bit funky, but it comfortably fit my family of 5 (self, partner and 3 teens). I loved the little courtyard that our room shared with several other rooms.

The space is a bit outdated, but it also just has a funky, eclectic vibe. The rooms got pretty warm and stuffy, but it is the middle of summer.

All the previous guests complained about the noisy rooms of the hotel, but the fact is that the room was quite silent. The size of the room is also quite big and it helped us a lot since we had lot of luggages with us. Good location to explore the city. Nice time spent a the hotel brewery, 1 floor down the room :)

The room was too warm. I guess it might be time to install a good AC system in the hotel for a best experience.

Perfect location close to the hear of downtown Victoria, Chinatown and a short walk from the inner harbour. Very large comfortable suite perfect for three adults. Some reviews had mentioned the noise from the pub below but that didnt impact us even we stayed friday & saturday nights. Reception held our luggage without charge or issue.

Rooms were a little hot. AC wasnt the best but no real issue.

Well located hotel and superbly helpful staff. We had a large group with a baby and so booked two duplex suites for Canada Day weekend. Of all the options I could see with availability left (I booked far in advance), Swans offered by far the best value for money. Once there, I was actually surprised by how roomy the rooms were. Perfect for our group. The staff (both at the front desk and the cleaning staff) were great over the phone and also accommodated our requests once at the property. Having the pub on site was also great, and in our rooms we couldn't hear noise from the bar at night.

We did not have a single issue or problem during our stay. I can't think of anything negative to say.

We loved the location and easy walking options to many of the local sights. The hotel was clean and well managed. The staff was always friendly and we never had any concerns

Some of the furniture was a bit dated but it was still usable just overly worn in some areas. The chair in the king bedroom had peeling leather.

Location with a lively Pub downstairs with a fantastic bartender. Quirky place that used to be a warehouse but all rooms converted to apartment like hotel rooms. The only thing was it being 2 story room with bedrooms upstairs, I as a senior would have to navigate stairs twice a night to use only bathroom downstairs. Don’t get me wrong, still worth it and would stay there again.
