I spent about 9 hours looking at listings on Booking.com before pulling the trigger, and I could not be happier with my choice! I had the place to myself most nights, and spent the evenings blissed out soaking in the various pools (they let you use the hot springs after hours if you are a guest). I lucked out and had a view of the volcano every day of my stay, and could see it right when I opened the door of my bungalow. My primary concern prior to booking was insects getting in the bungalow, and that did not end up being an issue at all :) The bungalow was clean and comfortable, the staff super friendly (they will help you book excursions and are so happy to share their beautiful home), and the breakfast was delicious! 11/10 would stay again.

Everything was great.

This place is idyllic we thoroughly enjoyed 2 nights here. The A frame bungalows were comfy and clean with a small private bathroom. The breakfast was delicious with a fruit bowl and 3 or 4 choices including a traditional Costa Rican breakfast. There are 4 thermal pools of varying temperatures including a mini waterfall and jets and a normal pool with a slide, all with a fantastic view of the volcano. On Saturday the place was quite busy with day trippers when we arrived but by 7pm we almost had the place to ourselves. It was much quieter on the other days. Food and drinks poolside were very reasonably priced.

Not a negative but a consideration. It is a little out of town and there is one other restaurant close by but I don’t recall seeing any shops within walking distance. However, most tours will pick you up or you can always take an Uber if you don’t have a car so don’t let this stop you. For us the location was perfectly tranquil.

The public are around the hot springs was lovely, very relaxing for lounging in the pools and reading. We spent hours doing exactly this. We also enjoyed the filling and tasty breakfasts they provided each day, with typical Costa Rican options. The location was a great jumping off point to visit the volcano but also close enough to La Fortuna to eat and shop. It exceeded our expectations, would definitely stay again!

Laundry facilities or easy access to them would have been helpful. After getting wet during our tours and hikes, we did not have a food way to clean or dry our clothes before moving on to the next destination.

The bungalows are bigger than they look on the pictures. The room was clean, but I'm wondering how they are ever going to clean the roof. Staff was really wonderful. The location was great for us, close to Fortuna, but far enough from the noise. Beautiful views from the thermal pools. There are howler monkeys living in the trees next to the path to the bungalows.

Breakfast was good, but if you stay longer, there's not much variation. We had the pancakes twice and then went somewhere else to eat on the third day.

access to the pools were great, staff are lovely and helpful. I used Uber to get into town for very cheap ($2) but there’s not a lot around and sometimes you have to call a taxi but it was only like $6 each way. there’s a restaurant close by if you don’t want to go into town for dinner etc. the pools are nice and quiet too so you kind of feel like you have private hot pools most nights.

some nights were a little noisey with outside guests and you’re in your room but they’re gone by closing time. it is quite far out of town, would be much better if you had a car.

This is a great family owned business. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The location is perfect and includes a wonderful view of the volcano. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and so relaxing with the hot spring pools and hammocks. Along with their delicious sangria, every evening was so wonderfully relaxing!

The huts, although quite charming, are not well sealed and bugs get in. They are quite small inside. Also, a hair dryer would have been nice!

The hot springs were fantastic. There were tons of options so other guests could spread out and we rarely ran into anyone else. The staff were friendly and helpful and we loved the pancake breakfast. The location was a short distance from town via car. The bungalows were cute and spacious.

Being in a bungalow, it was a little damp from the rain of La Fortuna, but that wasn’t really within their control. The lighting in the bungalows was a bit dim, but it wasn’t too bad!

very special and lovely room. very private and comfortable because the hotel has 4 hot spring pools while only 6 guest rooms. I can enjoy hot spring alone for many times! very nice staff always trying to serve and satisfy me!

La Fortuna is a place of high humidity. so it would be better to have hair dryer in room. unfortunately it is not available even the staff very nicely tried to help. Would be great if the hotel can help on advice tours. it seems nothing available for now.

the cabins were ok. clean and comfortable. they have a lot of holes between the roof and the cabin itself and made me wonder if any rat or snake could enter while I was asleep, but nothing really happened. the breakfast was Ok. the pools are nice to relax at the end of the day (nice temperature!) and the staff is super super nice. good price-quality relationship.

This is really thermal pools with a few simple rooms. The rooms are right next to the pools so easy and convenient. Room was quite small but fine for us for 3 nights. Location is brilliant as long as you have a car. The restaurant next door is very good. We loved using the pools at night.

Breakfast wasn't good, and you're expected to know what time you want it the day before.
