I loved the serenity and peace-"far from the maddening crowd", yet, close enough to hike up to get to the castle.

The hotel was ideally situated for visiting both castles in one day and a walk around the lake. All in easy reach on foot. The hotel was spotless. We had a spacious room with a balcony which gave us a spectacular view of the mountain and the castle. Good choice of breakfast and we were greeted with a complimentary drink and cake on arrival at the hotel. Brilliant secure underground parking was available on site.

Can't think of anything. Be aware that no evening meals are available but we were given recommendations for restaurants in town and they pre-booked for us.

The location, the staff, the size and beauty of the Challet. We had to change our dates due to flight cancelation and got a great response from the management even though the payment was nonrefundable. The Challet is self catering but the hotel provided free fresh bread service each day which was very appreciated. They also helped us with tickets to the castles. The service was very personal and we felt welcomed. The rooms were nice and the bathroom on the first floor was to die for. The kitchen is has all the appliances you can think of and tons of dishes.

We were able to leave our car in the garage until we were ready to leave the area. We had already checked out but they were happy for us to leave the car in the garage. I thought this was very generous.

Nope can’t really say anything displeased me. It was all really good and a place l would definitely go back to. If anything it may be a bit further out of town than some accommodation but that just reduces the traffic noise and meant we got we’re closer to the Neuschwanstein castle view. So again it was a bonus.

This is a very nice hotel situated in picturesque area below Neuschwanstein Castle and it is very clean, well maintained. Front desk staff very helpful and friendly.Lovely big room with very comfy bed, separate large bathroom and toilet, mini bar and tea & coffee making facilities. We had a small balcony with fantastic view of the castle. I highly recommend it for its cleanliness, warm and helpful service, view and location.

We stayed in the love suite and had the perfect view of the castle! It was perfect after just being engaged! The staff were very knowledgeable about the castles and hikes! I’m glad we were able to ask them any question without feeling embarrassed. The breakfast was amazing as well!

The walk to their partner restaurant was a bit tiring since it was raining. Their partner restaurant is the only thing open past 7PM. However, it’s not that big of a issue since they provide umbrellas

Beautiful small hotel with only a few suites. Modern structure tastefully decorated without the tacky pseudo-bavarian kitsch. Well located the the castles within walking distance, but away from the crowds. Practical and secure underground garage, linked by lift. Immaculately clean. Very quiet rooms. Excellent breakfast with fresh products. Helpful reception staff, obtaining tickets for castle visits, avoiding queues We appreciated flexible check-in/ check-out times.

This is a stylish hotel with a beautiful view of Neuschwanstein Castle. The decor is modern but evocative of the nearby castles and Wagner’s operas. The setting is charming and quiet, but still only steps from the attractions which also include the Tegelberg gondola leading to various hiking trails and the Alpsee. The rooms are spacious and most have views. The breakfast buffet was outstanding with many local specialties as well as fresh fruits and baked goods. The best thing was the very friendly and fun staff. There have bicycles which we borrowed to ride into Füssen.

Everything was perfect.

Fantastic view of the Neuschwanstein castle from the bedroom. A very short walk to the Museum of the Bavarian Kings, Hohenschwangau castle and the bus stop for Neuschwanstein castle (otherwise 20 min uphill walk... a pleasant walk back though) Clean large exceptionally appointed bedroom. Terrifically helpful staff. Good breakfast. Underground parking with an EV charging point for my electric car.

The shower backed up on the first day but it was soon fixed and was not a problem other than a slightly flooded bathroom floor. The staff could not have been more helpful. No restaurant at night... but two good restaurants a short walk away.

Really friendly and helpful staff, Bjorn and Sabine made us feel incredibly welcome. The saunas/spa was lovely and at only €30 for 2 hours of private use, this was a really affordable luxury. Breakfast was very tasty, with plenty of choices and the restaurant up the road was also very good, especially the goulash! Everything is within walking distance making the hotel location perfect and our corner room had stunning views of both castles and the mountains. The room itself was exquisite, exactly what you want for a romantic suite. The bed was super comfy and big, the bathtub was very generous and the shower was huge too. Would definitely recommend the villa Ludwig as a wonderful place to stay and in a really beautiful area.

The restaurants close quite early, between 6 and 8pm and there is a school down the road we had the misfortune of walking past while they were letting out for the day.
