The location was absolutely amazing - the walk around the lake so beautiful. To come all the way to Neuschwanstein and stay right on the lake with both castles in view is completely worth the extra expense. The children loved the pool/spa area and we all agreed that the breakfast was the best we've had so far on this trip in Europe. We wished we could have stayed longer than two nights.

Um nothing really ... I would have liked a hot tub in the pool/sauna/steam room area but that's really searching for a criticism.

Location, location, location. Very nice hotel with good facilities but the location is unique. Staff were very friendly.

Could do with more staff available in the bar and restaurant. Service whilst polite was slow, though efforts were made in the restaurant to make up for this. Towels were swapped out after first day unnecessarily and not all items were replaced. Better to only swap what guest want as missing face clothes were an inconvenience as were the missing spa towels. Would of liked to have purchased the spa bag but not available to buy.

Superb breakfast, with option for freshly cooked omelettes and a large assortment of foods (pastries, savoury, and healthy fresh fruit, nuts and grain options). Spectacular location and excellent view from top floor windows. The old hotel (Jagerhaus) is a seperate building to the newer part of the hotel that houses the Alpsee resort facilities, which is fine as it is a 20 metre walk. Secure luggage storage.

Faint smell of cigarette smoke in the bathroom which may be remnants of years gone by or whether previous guests have tried to smoke into the exhaust fan. Book early for any day spa activities as we were unable to book for the two days we stayed as a spur of the moment decision. Be aware there are only stairs to reach the floors above the ground level in Jagerhaus, however our bags were taken to our room as we checked in early and left our luggage, so just had to carry them downstairs for the check out.

The location can't be better than this if you want to see the two castles - Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau; the hotel is right next to Parking 4 from where you start the walk for both castles. The hotel itself is amazing, has a great luxury spa feel. The surroundings are magical, the mountains, lake and castles.

Room service comes with a EUR 10 charge for delivery from the hotel restaurant to the room! We found it to be quite ridiculous for such a nice hotel (maybe it's a norm in Germany, not sure).

It is definitely the best hotel we have visited. Unique experience in the heart of nature and powerful history! Ameron is the must visit hotel. Another beautiful impression was from the stuff, from receptionists to the house keepers all of them were offering help and smiling! Spa is fantastic. Breakfast was beyond our expectations! We will come back!

As foreigners we would like to be able to visit sauna with the textiles, avoiding seeing naked people. It could be separated from those who likes to be textiles free.

the bathroom was the best I have ever seen in a hotel, and the rest of the room was so minimalistic and clean and comforting, there was a balcony with an amazing view. by far my favorite hotel I’ve stayed at during my honeymoon

the only way to access our room was to walk up the hill from the hotel parking lot, through the entrance and through three different hallways, down a staircase and into an elevator every single time and our keys did not work for any of the shortcut doors at some point we just reverted to going through the blocked off door at the museum to get there faster as my wife was sick and out of breath easily

We were sad to leave! Perfect.. no other was to describe this place. The facilities of the hotel and the staff's professionalism exceeded our expectations! We would like to thank Sendro the bartender for the tasty cocktails and the great evening - your passion for what you do was inspiring! The spa services were spectacular. The breakfast contains pretty much everything you can think of for a breakfast.

This is a great place to stay at! It's location is PERFECT to view the two castles! Our room was awesome; had two balconies, one had a view of the Neuschwanstein Castle and the other looked out over the gorgeous lake. The included breakfast is likely the best one we've had; lots of choices! Staff was wonderful and very accommodating. The available parking was very handy as well. We just left the car there and walked around as everything is in close proximity.

The room was lovely , the location was perfect since we were next to the lake, we loved the spa, especially the pool. The front office in the reception was very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was superb!

The only thing I will say was bad was going to the bar since there were only one staff taking orders and she wasn’t able to manage all the people. Thus, a lot of people in the bar we’re getting upset.
