Staff at reception were very friendly

The floors into apartments were so dirty and the smell of dog was awful. Maybe a suggestion, to keep those without dogs in seperate apartment blocks, ie friendly non friendly pets.

Staff were wonderful. Attentive, helpful and professional. location is beautiful and the main hotel is quite lovely. The breakfast restaurant is very nice, good cup of coffee.

The apartments are nice but not truly fitted out for people who cook full meals. They did get us some things we asked for and we bought others but a can opener, serving bowls for salad/pasta, wooden spoon would be helpful as well as a few other items. Some of the furniture in our place was "tired" and they were great about changing out the dining chairs which were well past their prime.

In a way, this place is fabulous! Apartment was great for us as a family of 5. Very peaceful at night, beds very comfy and great having 2 bathrooms. Staff very attentive. Kitchen area allowed for having own breakfast and cooking one evening. Walk to the abbey and lake, had some beautiful early morning runs along the paths!

Very expensive. Only saw upon arrival that the swim/spa area wasn't for children under 18 (one of the main factors for booking this place was that it had a pool!). Ironically, the actual pool was quite cold and I was the only one in it! I really think they could have set aside a few hours each day for families to use the facilities as well. Breakfast incredibly expensive, so didn't bother. Pub was good, but disappointingly, the main restaurant was closed both nights we were there, so cooked our own dinner on the second night (Spar not far away).

My sister and I took our 80 year old parents for a mid week break to this beautiful hotel. We stayed in the apartments at the back of the hotel but I forgot to request a ground floor. We got to the apartments and when we discovered we were on the third floor and when my sister rang reception, they found us a lovely ground floor immediately. The 2 bed apartment was spacious. Huge beds that were so comfortable and the best pillows I’ve ever had. The tv is lacking channels for anyone with children but for us it was perfect. I had one minor issue and when I discussed it with Chris in reception, he couldn’t do enough to resolve my issue. Unfortunately with so much to do in Killarney I didn’t get time to use the spa facilities but definitely will return to do this. Thank you Chris and team for a lovely few days away.

The location was perfect for us - we wanted to be a little outside of the town in a more scenic setting, closer to the national park entrance, and this was it. We were two couples and got a 2-bedroom apartment with kitchen which was also perfect. Comfortable beds, modern decor. We also had access to the pool/spa complex which was amazing - ideal for a get away relaxation. We only ate lunch once and the food and service were superb.

Nothing could have been better.

Plenty of space, comfortable sitting area, quiet location, easy parking, helpful staff.

The kitchen was poorly equipped with very few utensils e.g. no bottle opener. The oven controls had been cleaned off so it was impossible to know which setting turned it on. I chose this hotel as the description said there was a swimming pool. However, the staff told me that it was just a dip pool and you couldn't actually swim in it (so I didn't bother to use it).

Muckross Park Hotel is beautiofully located right in Killarney National Park, close to Muckross House and Muckross Abbey. Both can be reached easily by foot. The National Park is just overwhelming in its beauty. We stayed three nights. The continental breakfast is okay, the Irish breakfast, which costs an extra 5 Euros is great, you can choose from a card out of about 8 different offers. We had an apartment in the nearby appartement house. It was nice, comfortable, quiet and clean, but we didn't really use its facilities. The spa area ist wonderful, the swimming-pool is more for relaxing than swimming, the 3 Saunas are great, although one was unfortunately closed. A highlight is the outdoor whirlpool. The service throughout the hotel was excellent and very kind, especially the lady-concierge at the restaurant!

Everything about the hotel was way above what we expected. The friendly staff, the spa, the apartment and the dining made the stay a memorable one. It was worth every penny and we will be going back regularly from now on. This is the 4th hotel we have stayed at in Killarney and by far the best by a long way. A luxury break at its best!

There was nothing to fault at all. The standards were very high

Fantastic facilities. Brilliant for a family gathering. We had 5 apartments in one apartment block. Spacious apartments with 2 large ensuite bedrooms and great living and kitchen area. Also super support from the staff at the front desk . Very friendly and amazingly helpful.

Could not find a single negative. Down to the bin area. Bins were collected this morning, and within 30 minutes staff from the hotel were on site cleaning the area.

My family of 5 (all adults) stayed here for a night during our road trip around Ireland. Really loved this spot. The apartments are a great size - one bedroom had a king size bed, the other had a king size bed and single bed, which was perfect for us. The apartments are self-catering, but as we stayed one night we were fine with this. Would stay again!
