From the moment of arrival you feel special. The staff are wonderful, and the hotel is grand and opulent. The room was spacious and grand, and the bathroom has lovely Rituals toiletries. The breakfast was amazing and to a very high standard, with service to match. We didn't eat dinner in the fine dining room, but in the casual pub facility next door. Was very good. There is a wonderful cozy bar area, with a fire place, with bar staff making really fabulous cocktails and coffee which was lovely to spend an evening relaxing. The concierge was so helpful , and we enjoyed the complimentary bicycles, and spa vitality suite. Very lovely. The concierge booked us dinner in town too, and his recommendation was excellent. We honestly couldn't fault the place, and would definitely return.

We loved the historic decorations of the hotel. It’s aged well. We were able to rent umbrellas! We loved the fresh flowers and real candles and the fire in the bar! The location to the park could not be beat. The breakfast was delicious and the staff is beyond accommodating.

The bar and restaurant only makes pod coffee. For a 4-5 star hotel, I would suggest improved coffee. There was confusion on the spa use - I’m still unsure if we could use the hot tub even if we didn’t book a spa appointment. I would recommend a shuttle service to downtown since the Muckross is a little far from downtown.

What a fabulous hotel with exceptional service. Huge credit to all the staff who were so welcoming, couldn’t do more to help and always smiling. The hotel itself is stunning, from the entrance with candles & fresh flowers, the gorgeous spa, it all felt very luxe. We were offered a welcome drink whilst checking in, bags taken to our room, shown to the spa as we booked a time slot (access is free to all guests you just have to pre book a time slot) the spa was gorgeous, very quiet so even more special, inside and outside jacuzzi, steam room, sauna and lovely pool with bubble beds. The bar/lounge was so cosy with a fire and comfy sofas. We ate at the onsite pub which was lovely. I would try the onsite fine dining if coming back. Breakfast was a real treat, lovely service, great selection of buffet and cooked options (all included) the room itself was great, a nice hotel room, just didn’t have the wow factor that the rest of the hotel did. We will absolutely be returning when visiting Ireland again. Great value for money as well. The location was ideal to explore Killarney, close to the waterfalls and stunning landscapes. We loved our generous sized suite with separate lounge room. The hotel was very clean and well maintained with lovely furnishings. Breakfast was both buffet and order from menu. Very nice breakfast with plenty of variety. Dinner was also very good. Staff friendly and efficient. Overall a lovely hotel to stay in. There was plenty of available car parking for no extra cost which is an added advantage when you are on a driving holiday. The concierge manager was so lovely and helpful. He went out of his way to help us with a problem with the GPS in the car.

Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the friendly staff and treated to a complimentary autumnal non-alcoholic hot cider, which was delicious. From the start, we felt like truly special and unique guests. Our room was fantastic, offering beautiful views of the majestic treeline. We dined at the hotel’s Yew Tree Restaurant, where the service was top-notch, and every need or preference was thoughtfully catered to. The next morning, we enjoyed a relaxing dip in the pool, and we were captivated by the design and layout of the spa and pool areas. The architecture of the building, along with the thoughtfully designed coves for different spa treatments, created a serene and inviting atmosphere. We would highly recommend Muckross Park Hotel to friends and family and can’t wait to spend more time there in the future.

The room was very comfortable and beautiful, and well equipped with coffee maker, fridge, and robes. We could control the AC/heat ourselves, and the window opened. We booked a time to use the pool and spa area which is quite beautiful and has a lot of facilities you can use. We enjoyed the casual restaurant on site and also had room service, all very nice. I had a massage with Amanda who was really amazing and gave me such a beautiful nurturing massage.

I thought from the booking.com listing that this hotel had grounds/parklands in the immediate vicinity. It isn't really like that, but it's not far from those. Also they never got back to my enquiry about booking the spa facilities so I had to ask again several days later, and by that time the time slot we wanted had booked out. For a hotel of this level of pricing/standards that is quite poor responsiveness.

Our experience was amazing. The hotel was elegant. The staff superb. The decor was tasteful and this extended to all areas including the bedroom. The bedroom was large with plenty of hanging space, the bed was extremely comfortable. The en-suite was extensive and was thoroughly cleaned everyday. The breakfast menu was extensive. The restaurant extended to two rooms. One held the items for a continental style breakfast and the other was a waiter served cooked breakfast. It was excellent. Nothing . It was exceptional

The Muckross Hotel is a great place to stay in Killarney National Park. It is the perfect place for a relaxing getaway with spa access and beautiful nature around. The staff are all extremely welcoming, friendly, and always willing to help. The breakfast included is superb with a buffet and hot food you can choose to order. We also had dinner in the pub a few times and an afternoon tea in the Monk's Lounge. Both were great. The hotel also offers complimentary bikes you can reserve which is great to explore the park.

Wifi access wasn't working on all of our devices, just some. Some items in the pub were a little overpriced. Other than that everything was superb.

I liked the location inside the park. I liked the accommodations and the staff were outstanding. We used the pool during our stay and enjoyed it. The breakfast was delicious.

We were there on a busy weekend, some type of car rally. There was a party with live music going on in the pub and the sound carried through to our room, it was actually quieter in the pub. Staff did offer to move our room, but we declined because there was only a couple hours and the music would be done. The carpet in our room had a large burn spot possibly from an iron.

As a room, this was not even close to 5 star. It was a clean, comfortable room with all in room amenities that a normal hotel would offer. To clarify, we did not use the spa facilities, only the room. Breakfast was a bit of a disappointment, with limited choices. We have stayed in 5 different hotels in the 7 days we were in Ireland, all the others were rated at 4 stars. I think this would be around the same level as them.
